Skuld is the name of a norse godess of time. Together with 2 others they control past, present and future. Skuld is the godess of Future in norse mythology. Ephemera means something that doesn't last for long, so could stand for the present. We're only missing the god of past.
Another meaning of the name Ephemera is 'things that are important or useful for only a short time; items that were not meant to have lasting value' I like your theory with the times, but I'm thinking maybe the 'past' could result in Ephemera and Skuld fusing together since every present and future will someday be the past. this person will be the one to give Xehanort his keyblade. Why? I know, it's only hair and eye color, but Ephemera has got white hair and Skuld got yellowish eyes. Seems familiar? Or the Master of Masters is 'the past' and created Skuld and Ephemera. Past events shape our present situation and affect our future. Something like that. Lastly, Luxu could be the past aspect to this theory. Luxu can't really influence the current events, he's always just watching, waiting for the present to become the past but somehow knowing what the future brings I think Luxu is the past, we don't know much about him but he seems really important. Crco I doubt that, Xehanort seems to know the X-Blade from another source (I have my little theory about that) so that would mean two people lied to him ? And he believed them just like that ? Nah, I think they just didn't show us, because the player (I mean, the avatar of course) doesn't give a shit about it, he just wanna find Ephemer and that's it, the Foretellers are the ones interested in the X-Blade (well, most likely, since that's how you end the world and that's the goal of one of them !) and the Foretellers point of view will be displayed in Kingdom Hearts X Back Cover !

But when Gula says "It's why the traitor began trying to end the world", that cannot be about Ava. I do not think it is Luxu either, he just seems to be following a script.
Also, I just realized that being a traitor doesn't necessarily mean that Ava was evil for betraying them, it could also mean like Ava was a traitor in the eyes of the other Foretellers for the fact that she went against them/book of prophecies.
Some plus info: The boss theme playing at the Nightmare chirithy bit it's the Red Eyes boss theme, from Aqua's secret episode. Which was also remixed in DDD as the Anti-black coat boss theme. They all have red eyes. Possibly marking them as nightmares? So a heartless can be fused with a nightmare?
Or NM Chirithy Heartless counterpart is Red Eyes and NM Chirithy worked with Xehanort becoming Anti-Black Coat, which is terrifying to think of because Dream Eaters didn't have someone to control them the way Heartless, Nobodies and Unversed do.
Actually, Red Eyes (who apparently has an official name now: "Dark Hide") Doesn't have the same eyes as NM Chirithy and Anti-Black Coat. But I think there is a relation, NM Chirithy and Anti-Black Coat seem to be nightmares that are trying to keep their subject in the realm of sleep. (player for NM Chi, and Sora for Anti-Black Coat.)
Yeah, exactly. That's the reason I think they are connected. Dark hide is without a doubt a heartless, but has the ability to cover himself in darkness and then his eyes glow red. And seeing a nightmare using the body of defeated heartless to become a new creature makes me wonder about Dark Hide's nature.
I think that the traitor never existed in the first place the traitor was all the foretellers because they all had different intentions and they broke the harmony themselves based on a myth
The Traitor the tome refrences is so obviously Xehanort. "Unable to permit disharmony, you will be disappointed by fate." Can't get over the fact that he's old and dying and that the universe is unbalanced and unfair. "and lose sight of true strength." Throws his own heart away at one point, as well as many other things Xehanort has done over the years. "Misreading the Truth, you will venture forth in secrecy..." Clearly Xehanort has convinced himself he knows what Kingdom Hearts is, when he probably actually doesn't, so he starts his clandestine shit in order to 'touch' Kingdom Hearts. But since he doesn't really understand it like he thinks he does, it probably backfires on him. It's so bleedingly obvious they would make a story where everyone is pointing the finger at everyone else when the real threat hasn't even been born yet. This game and its mobile counterpart are strictly to set up the ending of KH3 I bet Xehanort even gets close to winning and Kingdom Hearts ends up swallowing him up or something.

Given Ava's raction and Gula's comment it's soemone they know, somone they trusted, someone who exists in the time of chi. Besides, the only people Xehanort has betrayed are Eraqus, Ven and Terra, and we already know about those so it wouldn't be much of a "reveal". Since the identity of the traitor is *confirmed* to be revealed in Back Cover, than it make more sense for it to be someone who is part of chi.
***** No problem, you are partially correct. The events written of in the Book of Porphecy can simultaneously refer to both the past (chi) and the present (KH3) because Xehanort is forcing history to repeat itself. You could say he's following in the traitor's footsteps.

"We'll go together" It means that Ephemera wants to take the player to the Dandelions. He's the current leader of the Dandelions in Ava's place, since she can't go to where their going. Which is the realm known as Unchained. And the questions at the end mean that the player is reincarnated into Unchained, as well as Ephemera and Skuld, I believe. Most of this info is backed up by KH Insider btw. Correct me if I'm wrong on any of this.
I'm calling it right now. Skuld and Ephemera ARE the X-Blade. Ephemera being the 7 pieces of light, and Skuld being the 13 pieces of darkness. They died along with the player, as the X-Blade was destroyed in the war. I could be wrong though. (Also sorry if I misspelled names.)
The whole ending is so sad ;-; I think when the Player says "A Goddess" as the light shines down its Skuld emerging from Kingdom Hearts as she is the physical embodiment. I think Ava lied when she said Ephemera is safe, i think he died and his heart was given to Kingdom Hearts. This let her be able to let the player see their friend one last time before dieing and completing Kingdom Hearts.
I do hope Back Cover will also show the cause of the crater seen in the Keyblade Graveyard in BBS. I think Aced and Ira is responsible for this because they're still dueling against each other in the war. There's no way a normal Keyblade Wielder able to create that crater so I believe the fight between this two Foretellers causes that because they're so powerful and maybe other Keyblade Wielders who happen to be in that area, weren''t able to get away in time, got caught up in the fight between the two and they died from that.
Nah, not that one, it was that other huge crater but I wouldn't be surprised if Nomura actually reveal the cause of that Mickey Head crater in Back Cover.

It could be from the X-blade being destroyed- if the destruction of the BBS incomplete X-blade caused such chaos, imagine what would happen with the destruction of a real one. Sure, the X-blade has not been mentioned in KHX (presumably because it is a secret kept by the Foretellers), but after Xehanort's monologue, they cannot possibly omit it from Back Cover.
I can definitely see that being likely a possibility. At first, i thought it could be an attack from a magic spell like Meteor plunged from the sky and hits the ground, creating an impact that causes the crater because it really gives an impression of that but I could agree with you of it being caused by the X-Blade's destruction. Now that you mention it, we don't know what happens during the time when player is unconscious and after that, a scene of like hundreds of hearts flying to the sky as if something huge has happen. It could be that the destruction of the X-Blade has occured while the player is still unconscious and the chaos causes hundreds of Keyblade Wielders' deaths who happen to be in that area where it shatters, thus summons Kingdom Hearts in the sky for one last time and the darkness begin to swallow it.
it's being heavily rumored that Ven is actually the avatar in KHUX since Nomura has been drawing him with Ephemera and Skulld. When you defeat nightmare Chirithy he says he'll meet you again in another dream. As of now Ven is currently in deep sleep, Do you think there will be a part in KH3 where we like see Ven's dreams? There's a possibilty he might see Chirithy in his dreams.

My theory about the unchained x is that the player is stuck inside a dream forced to live the days to the final battle until all the world's are reawakened and brought back into the light by the kingdom heart
I believe that the ending and whole story is just a cover but in reality the main character should be replaced with ventus, the details brought to light in HMK's video on ventus supports this, also ventus is closely related to kingdom hearts as being the holder of, and after his heart was split into Vanitas a part of, the X-blade. The scene at the end is showing kingdom hearts not only gifting ventus the X-blade but wiping his memory, that's why when he went with Xeahnort to the grave yard he remembered the war that had happened in the badlands of his world daybreak town. This also explains why it hurt ventus so badly trying to remember where he came fro when questioned by Aqua and Terra, his literally broken heart tried to force him to remember where he came from and in turn he passed out because he couldn't handle it. hes closely attached to Terra and Aqua is because their personalities remind him of his old friends Skuld and Ephemera. The light that enveloped him at the end could have been Skuld, the goddess representing kingdom hearts, allowed him to rest in the graveyard until he was found and woken up by Xeahnort. this is what i think, anyone want to add anything or find a flaw in this theory?
I believe that your theory is an interesting possibility for the most part, but there's definitely more that goes with this idea. Nomura has stated that Skuld, Ephemera, and Ventus all play a special part in KHUX's story, but so do two other people who have yet to make an appearance. In the end, there will be 5 young people playing major roles, not just those three. The second thing I'm going to point out is that the true X-Blade of legend was split into 20 pieces, 7 pieces of Light, and 13 of Darkness. This was stated in DDD. This is also why Xehanort's attempt to use Ven as an X-Blade ended in failure, because it was the incorrect way to recreate it. Now with all that said, I'm going to add this: since Dreameaters exist here, then it's safe to say that the events of UX take place in a sleeping/dream world. Now think about it, who has been sleeping the longest in this series? Ven. Therefore, he could have gained access to this world of UX simply by dreaming in that chair of his. Yeah? Would explain how he got there in the first place.

As many have pointed out, Skuld's name relates to Norse mythology as she is the god of the future, and considering the name Ephemera relates to the idea of something not lasting long, he could represent the present, which leaves one more warrior to represent the past. I theorize that this mystery warrior would be named Janus, after the Roman god of beginnings (or doorways) which would reflect perfectly on the themes of doors and time, and that this could perhaps be the player's characters from Unchained X, as they would die and be forgotten during the Keyblade War
It spoke of Ava, as she misread the entire mentioning of a "traitor" assuming it was another person who would inevitably drive the others to war. Fearing this war she took it upon herself to try and rat them out, but also make the dandelions. This itself was the act of secrecy that was instead an insult to the others (since she refused to trust anyone). Her obsession over the page and anger at Luxu's enigmatic words ended up causing the war, with that blow out of frustration and desperate accusation. The other fore-tellers, mindlessly following the Tome of prophecies, seeing it already set in stone and slowly unravelling had no choice but to go to battle.
I think the player lives in the end. Because ephemera said "let's go together" Meaning Us. PS our Dreameater didn't even die in the end so our character does live.(One happy ending in kingdom hearts xchi.)
Actually, Luxu doesn't have a Tome of Prophecies, otherwise he'd be a Foreteller, no, he actually has _the Lost Page_ which is basically a page ripped from the book which contains information on the traitor, the Keyblade War, and maybe even more ! Now, I was really excited by this ending ^^ However I was kinda disappointed by multiple things, like we don't learn much more stuff, I mean, we saw the Keyblade War and learnt that the _traitor_ may not be a traitor because of bad intentions, but appart from those small pieces of information... Pretty much nothing ! We didn't get to learn more about Luxu, or the Master of Masters, we didn't get to see any of the Foreteller's face _(I hope we'll get to see at least one in Back Cover, I mean, they can't be just people with animal masks 24/7 !)_ we didn't get to know who is the traitor, we didn't get to see Kingdom Hearts and the X-Blade _(most likely they will appear in Back Cover because I guess the Foretellers, especially Aced, are the ones who are like powerful enough to make it appear but more importantly destroy the X-Blade, even unintentionally !)_ we really didn't learn anything, it was just a conclusion (an epic one, but with nothing really new I guess !) ! As for who's the traitor, I wouldn't put Ava away actually, as I said, maybe she's a traitor but with no bad intentions ! But my personal guess is on Invi ! I mean, just look : if you are not in Anguis, that's the first time she actually speaks to you (and even speaks at all I think, but I'm not sure whether she's always the one in the cutscenes for the Corridors of Darkness arc) and what does she say ? _"Sorry for dragging you into all this"_ ! So, she may just be talking on behalf of all the Foretellers, but I think there are chances that she's actually talking for herself only ! And this is suspicious as Hell ! When you battle her she doesn't even defend herself when you hit her ! The other Foretellers have an animation of them countering your hits, but she just takes them, as if she was resigned, or maybe as if she thought she deserved them ? And in general, we don't know anything about Invi, we don't know what she did during the entire game, maybe her actions actually match the prophecy, maybe she's the one who misread the truth and went into secrecy (that secrecy may be the reason why we barely see her in the game !) ! I guess Back Cover will unveil the truth ! I just can't wait, when I receive 2.8, the very first thing I'll do is watch Back Cover ! I just wanna knooow xD PS : Dream Eaters CAN exist in the actual world, they do so in KH3D, stop saying they can't PPS : It's "ACED", not "ace" x) PPPS : And the Player is not dead at the end, stop with the quick conclusions x)

Add to that the fact that, in Back Cover, he's the only Foreteller with red eyes (well, on his mask), and that his name litteraly means "wrath", that makes him a pretty strong suspect too ! Actually, Gula is the only one I can't see being the traitor, not especially because of any evidence or whatever, but rather because I dont think he fits the role x) I just feel like it'd be weird but of course, I may well be wrong ! Aced is pretty evil, but Nomura would not make him the traitor- that would not be sufficiently mind-blowing.
I think that Chirithy gave the Player a dream, and that was why Ephemera and Skuld appeared. The Player was dying, probably from exhaustion and wounds. Ephemera and Skuld were what the Player would want to see in that moment. And that line, 'Let's go together', could easily be Chirithy trying to help the Player deal with death.

Terra was in disharmony (Darkness within him) and he wouldn't allow it, so he was disappointed by not becoming a master, losing sight of his true strength, his friends Aqua and Ventus...
Skuld is a Norn in Norse mythology, and her name means something along the lines of the Future. She's also a Valyrie, a being who leads those who have fallen on the battlefield to Valhalla. This makes more sense if you look into things a bit. Perhaps Skuld is something along the lines of a Valkyrie being with the Dandelions, saving those fallen on the battlefield, because if you think about it, she does this not only with you, but with all players in the game. ...But if you notice, Chirithy doesn't disappear. So I don't think the player dies.
Skuld in Norse Mythology is one of the three Norns and also appears as a Valkyrie. The Norns were three Goddesses that presides over fate and Valkyries were sent to guide fallen warriors to Valhalla. So perhaps her name is not a coincidence.
Maybe Luxu is the origina/real/truel version of Xehanort, and the old body he has now is just some other body that he's had for a really long time from going body to body over time, and that is why since then he's always known (from the Lost Page) what was going to happen in the Future?
Hey Cynical, you would not believe what I just found out in chi, the special episode of chi was unchained 0. During the fight with the Foretellers, this player was asleep in a swallowed up dark world and left afterwards. To my knowledge, I think it's enchanted dominion.
Idea: remember at the end of KHII when Sora and Riku decide to stay in the realm of darkness but Sora opens the door to the light after he reads the letter... the dialog is the same between Sora and Riku as between our player and Ephemera. "We'll go together," and Sora takes Riku's hand and they leave the realm of darkness. With that being said, maybe there is something to the idea of reincarnation in the KH universe. "Nothing happens in KH by coincidence." Just a thought but maybe these characters are linked closely with the current KH gang.
I'm on the English version of the game Unchained X, I'm stuck on Quest 450, where you fight Ava. Unfortunately I started playing near the end of July, so I've missed out on a lot of stuff. I know this may be cheating, but i'm watching your videos to see what happens. I'm pretty sure Ursa is the traitor, because he's looking for soldiers, rather than followers. I heard that somewhere. As for the dream-eaters, the book of prophecies creates holograms or "dreams" of these far away places and through this, you are granted the power of future lights and darknesses.
The 'you' mentioned in the lost passage sounds a lot like xehanort. He believed that light and dark were unbalanced in the world or a disharmony and left his home he also thought true strength was in darkness but this could also easily talk about ventus or terra and terra leaving home and misreading information is essentially what caused birth by sleep to end the way it did. Terra might be the more likely option now that I think about it and the tomes may not even be talking about what is happening in their time so the keyblade war may not even be the Great War they spoke of.
I just had a great idea. What if you get 4 of the 5 foretellers' keyblades through normal gameplay,but Ava's one will only be obtainable by a huge sidequest that finishes off in a "Cavern of Rememberance" styled cave in the endgame of KH3. Not in the difficulty level....well maybe the difficulty level,but ALSO in the fact that it makes you use every ability you have learned up to now.
In the credits of chi you see skuld and ephemer going through the story and doing all the things the player foes. Maybe chi is a dream where you play through skuld and ephemer's memories.
Maybe, the end of KH unchained X was the player awakening from the dream world? And the images of Chirity ,Ephemera and Skuld are a sort of haulcination of the player's desires to see them again. It would be nice to see at least Chirity again, even the nightmare one in Kingdom Hearts 3
Daybreak town doesn't have to be asleep....remember in DDD when Riku returns to the real world and the dream eaters are still with him because Sora is still sleeping? Maybe the dream eaters are from someone in that world who is sleeping, like maybe the Master? He does kinda disappear.
Luxu misinterpreted the masters intentions and kept the secret of the future and thus through fate causes disharmony betrayed the order and is willing to allow the world to fall into ruin. It all seems to be talking about Luxu though I doubt Luxu notices or thinks of it like that. Fitting that the one who dresses and wields the blade of Xehanort provides the means for Xehanort to continue the Keyblade war many years into the future. Luxu is like the first Xehanort and created everything that Xehanort needs to bring forth the full power of Darkness

Backcover doesn't seem to have dream eaters from what little we've seen. I think Backcover is what really happened and Chi/Unchained are just dreams of Daybreak Town(this has already been stated indirectly too, iirc). Would also mean that Nightmare Chirithy will come back.
Considering how broken Cure is when the denizens of KH remember it exists, I'm gonna venture a guess and say the player (barely) survives. We never see them die, or see their heart leave. One thing that this game does answer is where all of the Nobodies, Boss Heartless, and original Pureblood Heartless came from. Like seriously, the number of Nobodies is nuts. And the games make it clear they were at least...*goes to write theory*
I think this has a lot to do with the fairy tale that Kairi's grandmother tells her. Basically, Daybreak town is a sleeping world like all other worlds became when the everything was covered in darkness. But at the end of the keyblade war, the light left in the hearts of fallen warriors formed kingdom hearts, welcoming all with a familiar face. Kingdom hearts then restored the world to a new form, rebuilding it. Perhaps this means that it gives them new lives, maybe in some reincarnation, or simply so that their sacrifice was not meaningless.
I think the Dandelions (Union Vulpes, AKA my Union) are the those who follow the traitorous Foreteller. Ursa explained the lines. "Disappointment by disharmony" and "you will go about in secrecy" explain Ava's intentions perfectly. She was disheartened by the war about to come and went on to form the Dandelions, those who would begin the new world, in secrecy. I'm at 11:29, but this more incriminating when Luxu asks her if she has the power to divert this fate and she attacks, striking the bell toll. This is just my theory.
Personally, I think that the player is dying and we can see very shortly before the camera zooms out on the player we can see a heart floating away from the player. I believe that because skuld was in the dandelions and we can see dandelion spores floating around instead of hearts that this is the world being reformed. Maybe skuld was making sure the worlds reformed separate. Also, "Lets go together." is the line sora says to riku when they leave The Realm of Darkness. Maybe this is the creation of nobodies?
What if the Master of Masters name is Super (superbia/pride) which continues the Seven Deadly Sins theme naming. It completes the Seven Deadly Sins where his apprentices names are Invi of Anguis (invidia/envy), Gula of Leopardos (gulam/gluttony), Ira of Unicornis (wrath), Aced of Ursus (acedia/sloth), and Ava of Vulpes (avarice/greed) and Luxu (luxuria/lust). Then again, just being called the Master of Masters sounds prideful enough.
Forgive me if 20,000 people pointed this out already, but Skuld is the name of a Norse Goddess and one of the three Norns with powers of Fates, Skuld representing the future. So maybe Skuld of LH is in fact a goddess.
Hey Cynical, Xaimi here. It is quite possible that KHx and KHUx are dreams and Daybreak Town is a world suspended in sleep. Let's put this another way: Everyone has had a dream/nightmare that contained people/images/scenes/feelings from actual moments in our lives. We wake up saying "Shit, that felt real." Maybe this is Nomura's way of including the real world in the player's dream? So, the Keyblade War really happened, but before KHx and KHUx, we never know the full story behind it. What better way to explain it than through dreams as if we are watching it from someone else's perspective-the player's. Could these be Ven's dreams as he sleeps? It is definitely something to think about.

perhaps these Sins are relative to the 7 deadly sins, being that they are the foundation of darkness and is what allows darkness to nurture within the heart. For example, someone who shows signs of greed will begin to grow in the heart.
About the last part: I rather think that, when the player dies, s/he sees her/his two friends, who are already dead. The conversation kind of makes more sense this way.
I'm still thinking that Riku, Kairi, Ventus,Terra, and Aqua are reincarnations of the fortellers. I noticed that Aced fights with the ground just like Terra does and Invi uses magic circle just like Aqua.
Personnally I thought that the "goddess" thing was because the Player is close to death, so he begins to see a great light and he interprets Skuld's form as the arrival of "a goddess". Because he is between life and death, what he sees makes him believe he is getting up to paradise... Pure hypothesis, very simple. X) However it could make sense : Skuld is compared to a goddess because she is one of the greatest person in the Player's heart : she brings him light, happiness, strength... Once again the power of friendship is shown up.
Luxu said he was more interested in the foretellers use of the keys and since he gave them their current keyblades what is the difference between them and the ones they had that would interest him. Also according to lore we are told the x blade shattered into 20 pieces, kingdom hearts sank into darkness. we have not seen the x blade once in xchi and it is one of the reasons that xehanort is trying to pit 7 lights and 13 darkness against one another. THis event the keyblade war sets off the events of the rest of the series. Also skuld is named after the fate from norse mythology that sees the future, don't know if that is a coincidence.
What if the Chi game wasn't history but a memory? Someone who is sleeping, remembering the events of and leading up to the Keyblade war? They couldn't change things but are just reliving events over in their minds.

I don't think you're player dies by the way Ephemera is talking it sounds like he's come to save you at the last second and bring you with him to the new world after the war. Which is why we see all these dandelion around them .
"Misreading the truth, you will venture forth in secrecy..." in my mind this is talking about Master Ava, she misreads something in the Tomb and she ventures to go see Luxu in secrecy. "And then with that one strike, a bell will toll for the final battle, and the battle will begin at last, and the time shall be chosen." Obviously this one is clear, "that one strike" is when master ava attacks luxu causing a shock wave to move the clock hand on the tower and ring the bell signalling all the foretellers to assemble for battle. IMO, i think Luxu manipulated ava somehow with the missing page because her actions match the page to a T. Another guess, he already knew all this was going to happen because he is a Xehanort from the future, also explaining why he shares the same Keyblade as him.
i dont think the player died as you don't see their heart leaving them, we can see from kh 1 when sora sacrificed himself that square has no problems doing that either btw
Here's what I'm thinking, it's simple really, it all hinges on Chirithy. Remember that some time ago Nomura stated that "there is no such thing as death" in kingdom hearts somewhere. Meaning it's traditional sense. So, if Chirithy is a Spirit, and Nightmare Chirithy a nightmare, wouldn't that mean the world of the foretellers is asleep? What I think this is is simple. We AREN'T fighting in the keyblade war, this is the sleeping Daybreak Town after falling to darkness, and it's residence are re-living the last thing they did (the events leading up to the keyblade war) again, and again, and again, until they wake up. What if that's what Nightmare Chirithy meant by "another dream" just another iteration of the limbo they're in.
Also, Maybe this story takes place in Ven's dream since he is in deep sleep. That's the only way nightmares might exist in this world since its Ven's dream.

dude, in the beginning when the union leader is reciting the lost page passage, he is talking about about the Foretellers themselves. hear me out: "unable to permit disharmony you will be disappointed and lost sight of true strength" this is what the current foretellers are dealing with. they do not like disharmony and are disappointed by fate, meaning the fact that the war is unavoidable and they have lost sight of the truth that they were taught, leading to the next part. next "misreading the truth, you will venture forth in secrecy" that is literally what all the foretellers did in their attempt to find the "traitor". with this they are all in fact the traitor(s). This is the writer (Great teacher) trying to tell his students (the five foreteller factions)that because they are so hung up on the tomes they themselves will cause the prophecy (war) to come true. This is why Luxu told Ava the war was unavoidable. He knew exactly what the great teacher meant. He planted the seed and stood in the background and let the events happen as they were always going to. I think that Luxu, knowing the prophecy or great teacher intimately (not meaning sexually, just closely) either taught xenhort to plant the seed and watch the events unfold as the prophecy shows, or he is xenhort. which the latter would make more sense thanks to 3d's time travel clause. It would be cool if Skuld and her lineage/apprentices were the embodiment of Kingdom Hearts and Ephemera and his apprentice lineage to Master Xehanort was the embodiment of the Realm of Darkness

By preparing the Dandelions for the inevitable Keyblade War, Ava is accidentally causing (or at least accelerating) it. She chooses Keyblade wielders who "cannot be swallowed by a little darkness to be dandelions". This all sounds well and good until one realizes the implications: she is taking all the powerful Keyblade wielders who can resist the temptation of the darkness and leaving only those Keyblade wielders who can't. So when those first few Keyblade wielders start going bad naturally, they'll corrupt all the other Keyblade wielders around them, with very few able to resist. Soon enough, the darkness will spread like the plague, and then it will only be a matter of time before they destroy each other. This would explain why her name is based on "Avaritia", or Greed.
My two cents: Just because Dream Eaters exist in Kingdom Hearts X doesn't mean its all an illusion, and it didn't really happen. In Dream Drop Distance, the worlds swallowed by Darkness never fully returned to the realm of light, rather they rest in the sleeping realm. Did those worlds not exist? They absolutely did. My theory is that the world of Kingdom Hearts X likely existed in the sleeping realm, but that doesn't mean that its all a dream and doesn't exist. That would explain how the Dandelions were able to escape to the realm of light and pass down the power of the Keyblade to the wielders in the present.
I think that what it meant that the person will loose sight and walk in the shadows is the traitor since he walks in darkness behind the scenes doing wrong.

Skuld is the name of a norse godess of time. Together with 2 others they control past, present and future. Skuld is the godess of Future in norse mythology. Ephemera means something that doesn't last for long, so could stand for the present. We're only missing the god of past.

Yeah, exactly. That's the reason I think they are connected. Dark hide is without a doubt a heartless, but has the ability to cover himself in darkness and then his eyes glow red. And seeing a nightmare using the body of defeated heartless to become a new creature makes me wonder about Dark Hide's nature.

Since the identity of the traitor is *confirmed* to be revealed in Back Cover, than it make more sense for it to be someone who is part of chi.

Which is the realm known as Unchained. And the questions at the end mean that the player is reincarnated into Unchained, as well as Ephemera and Skuld, I believe. Most of this info is backed up by KH Insider btw. Correct me if I'm wrong on any of this.

The whole ending is so sad ;-; I think when the Player says "A Goddess" as the light shines down its Skuld emerging from Kingdom Hearts as she is the physical embodiment. I think Ava lied when she said Ephemera is safe, i think he died and his heart was given to Kingdom Hearts. This let her be able to let the player see their friend one last time before dieing and completing Kingdom Hearts.

I do hope Back Cover will also show the cause of the crater seen in the Keyblade Graveyard in BBS. I think Aced and Ira is responsible for this because they're still dueling against each other in the war. There's no way a normal Keyblade Wielder able to create that crater so I believe the fight between this two Foretellers causes that because they're so powerful and maybe other Keyblade Wielders who happen to be in that area, weren''t able to get away in time, got caught up in the fight between the two and they died from that.

It could be from the X-blade being destroyed- if the destruction of the BBS incomplete X-blade caused such chaos, imagine what would happen with the destruction of a real one. Sure, the X-blade has not been mentioned in KHX (presumably because it is a secret kept by the Foretellers), but after Xehanort's monologue, they cannot possibly omit it from Back Cover.
I can definitely see that being likely a possibility. At first, i thought it could be an attack from a magic spell like Meteor plunged from the sky and hits the ground, creating an impact that causes the crater because it really gives an impression of that but I could agree with you of it being caused by the X-Blade's destruction. Now that you mention it, we don't know what happens during the time when player is unconscious and after that, a scene of like hundreds of hearts flying to the sky as if something huge has happen. It could be that the destruction of the X-Blade has occured while the player is still unconscious and the chaos causes hundreds of Keyblade Wielders' deaths who happen to be in that area where it shatters, thus summons Kingdom Hearts in the sky for one last time and the darkness begin to swallow it.

My theory about the unchained x is that the player is stuck inside a dream forced to live the days to the final battle until all the world's are reawakened and brought back into the light by the kingdom heart
I believe that the ending and whole story is just a cover but in reality the main character should be replaced with ventus, the details brought to light in HMK's video on ventus supports this, also ventus is closely related to kingdom hearts as being the holder of, and after his heart was split into Vanitas a part of, the X-blade. The scene at the end is showing kingdom hearts not only gifting ventus the X-blade but wiping his memory, that's why when he went with Xeahnort to the grave yard he remembered the war that had happened in the badlands of his world daybreak town. This also explains why it hurt ventus so badly trying to remember where he came fro when questioned by Aqua and Terra, his literally broken heart tried to force him to remember where he came from and in turn he passed out because he couldn't handle it. hes closely attached to Terra and Aqua is because their personalities remind him of his old friends Skuld and Ephemera. The light that enveloped him at the end could have been Skuld, the goddess representing kingdom hearts, allowed him to rest in the graveyard until he was found and woken up by Xeahnort.

I believe that your theory is an interesting possibility for the most part, but there's definitely more that goes with this idea. Nomura has stated that Skuld, Ephemera, and Ventus all play a special part in KHUX's story, but so do two other people who have yet to make an appearance. In the end, there will be 5 young people playing major roles, not just those three. The second thing I'm going to point out is that the true X-Blade of legend was split into 20 pieces, 7 pieces of Light, and 13 of Darkness. This was stated in DDD. This is also why Xehanort's attempt to use Ven as an X-Blade ended in failure, because it was the incorrect way to recreate it. Now with all that said, I'm going to add this: since Dreameaters exist here, then it's safe to say that the events of UX take place in a sleeping/dream world. Now think about it, who has been sleeping the longest in this series? Ven. Therefore, he could have gained access to this world of UX simply by dreaming in that chair of his. Yeah? Would explain how he got there in the first place.

As many have pointed out, Skuld's name relates to Norse mythology as she is the god of the future, and considering the name Ephemera relates to the idea of something not lasting long, he could represent the present, which leaves one more warrior to represent the past. I theorize that this mystery warrior would be named Janus, after the Roman god of beginnings (or doorways) which would reflect perfectly on the themes of doors and time, and that this could perhaps be the player's characters from Unchained X, as they would die and be forgotten during the Keyblade War
It spoke of Ava, as she misread the entire mentioning of a "traitor" assuming it was another person who would inevitably drive the others to war. Fearing this war she took it upon herself to try and rat them out, but also make the dandelions. This itself was the act of secrecy that was instead an insult to the others (since she refused to trust anyone). Her obsession over the page and anger at Luxu's enigmatic words ended up causing the war, with that blow out of frustration and desperate accusation.
The other fore-tellers, mindlessly following the Tome of prophecies, seeing it already set in stone and slowly unravelling had no choice but to go to battle.
I think the player lives in the end. Because ephemera said "let's go together" Meaning Us. PS our Dreameater didn't even die in the end so our character does live.(One happy ending in kingdom hearts xchi.)
Actually, Luxu doesn't have a Tome of Prophecies, otherwise he'd be a Foreteller, no, he actually has _the Lost Page_ which is basically a page ripped from the book which contains information on the traitor, the Keyblade War, and maybe even more !
Now, I was really excited by this ending ^^ However I was kinda disappointed by multiple things, like we don't learn much more stuff, I mean, we saw the Keyblade War and learnt that the _traitor_ may not be a traitor because of bad intentions, but appart from those small pieces of information... Pretty much nothing ! We didn't get to learn more about Luxu, or the Master of Masters, we didn't get to see any of the Foreteller's face _(I hope we'll get to see at least one in Back Cover, I mean, they can't be just people with animal masks 24/7 !)_ we didn't get to know who is the traitor, we didn't get to see Kingdom Hearts and the X-Blade _(most likely they will appear in Back Cover because I guess the Foretellers, especially Aced, are the ones who are like powerful enough to make it appear but more importantly destroy the X-Blade, even unintentionally !)_ we really didn't learn anything, it was just a conclusion (an epic one, but with nothing really new I guess !) !
As for who's the traitor, I wouldn't put Ava away actually, as I said, maybe she's a traitor but with no bad intentions ! But my personal guess is on Invi ! I mean, just look : if you are not in Anguis, that's the first time she actually speaks to you (and even speaks at all I think, but I'm not sure whether she's always the one in the cutscenes for the Corridors of Darkness arc) and what does she say ? _"Sorry for dragging you into all this"_ ! So, she may just be talking on behalf of all the Foretellers, but I think there are chances that she's actually talking for herself only ! And this is suspicious as Hell ! When you battle her she doesn't even defend herself when you hit her ! The other Foretellers have an animation of them countering your hits, but she just takes them, as if she was resigned, or maybe as if she thought she deserved them ? And in general, we don't know anything about Invi, we don't know what she did during the entire game, maybe her actions actually match the prophecy, maybe she's the one who misread the truth and went into secrecy (that secrecy may be the reason why we barely see her in the game !) ! I guess Back Cover will unveil the truth ! I just can't wait, when I receive 2.8, the very first thing I'll do is watch Back Cover ! I just wanna knooow xD
PS : Dream Eaters CAN exist in the actual world, they do so in KH3D, stop saying they can't

Also, while I was watching the video, I couldn't help noticing that Ira actually says "if only you hadn't broken the harmony" which matches the prophecy, he can't support the fact that harmony was broken ! Add to that the fact that, in Back Cover, he's the only Foreteller with red eyes (well, on his mask), and that his name litteraly means "wrath", that makes him a pretty strong suspect too !
Actually, Gula is the only one I can't see being the traitor, not especially because of any evidence or whatever, but rather because I dont think he fits the role x) I just feel like it'd be weird but of course, I may well be wrong !
I just can't wait for Back Cover, actually x) KHX/UX's graphics are fine, but really, how could they possible beat Unreal Engine 4 ? xD

Also, I think the passage we hear from the lost page is about Ava, but if one of the Foretellers is the traitor, I think it would be Gula- he knows what is on the lost page, after all. Aced is pretty evil, but Nomura would not make him the traitor- that would not be sufficiently mind-blowing.

I think that Chirithy gave the Player a dream, and that was why Ephemera and Skuld appeared. The Player was dying, probably from exhaustion and wounds. Ephemera and Skuld were what the Player would want to see in that moment. And that line, 'Let's go together', could easily be Chirithy trying to help the Player deal with death.
"Unable to permit disharmony, you will be disappointed by fate, and lose sight of true strength..." Sounds familiar right? Terra was in disharmony (Darkness within him) and he wouldn't allow it, so he was disappointed by not becoming a master, losing sight of his true strength, his friends Aqua and Ventus...
That "silver" of a dream though...
Skuld is a Norn in Norse mythology, and her name means something along the lines of the Future. She's also a Valyrie, a being who leads those who have fallen on the battlefield to Valhalla.
This makes more sense if you look into things a bit. Perhaps Skuld is something along the lines of a Valkyrie being with the Dandelions, saving those fallen on the battlefield, because if you think about it, she does this not only with you, but with all players in the game.
...But if you notice, Chirithy doesn't disappear. So I don't think the player dies.
Skuld in Norse Mythology is one of the three Norns and also appears as a Valkyrie.
The Norns were three Goddesses that presides over fate and Valkyries were sent to guide fallen warriors to Valhalla. So perhaps her name is not a coincidence.
Maybe Luxu is the origina/real/truel version of Xehanort, and the old body he has now is just some other body that he's had for a really long time from going body to body over time, and that is why since then he's always known (from the Lost Page) what was going to happen in the Future?

Hey Cynical, you would not believe what I just found out in chi, the special episode of chi was unchained 0. During the fight with the Foretellers, this player was asleep in a swallowed up dark world and left afterwards. To my knowledge, I think it's enchanted dominion.

Idea:
remember at the end of KHII when Sora and Riku decide to stay in the realm of darkness but Sora opens the door to the light after he reads the letter... the dialog is the same between Sora and Riku as between our player and Ephemera. "We'll go together," and Sora takes Riku's hand and they leave the realm of darkness. With that being said, maybe there is something to the idea of reincarnation in the KH universe. "Nothing happens in KH by coincidence."
Just a thought but maybe these characters are linked closely with the current KH gang.
I'm on the English version of the game Unchained X, I'm stuck on Quest 450, where you fight Ava. Unfortunately I started playing near the end of July, so I've missed out on a lot of stuff. I know this may be cheating, but i'm watching your videos to see what happens.
I'm pretty sure Ursa is the traitor, because he's looking for soldiers, rather than followers. I heard that somewhere.
As for the dream-eaters, the book of prophecies creates holograms or "dreams" of these far away places and through this, you are granted the power of future lights and darknesses.
The 'you' mentioned in the lost passage sounds a lot like xehanort. He believed that light and dark were unbalanced in the world or a disharmony and left his home he also thought true strength was in darkness but this could also easily talk about ventus or terra and terra leaving home and misreading information is essentially what caused birth by sleep to end the way it did. Terra might be the more likely option now that I think about it and the tomes may not even be talking about what is happening in their time so the keyblade war may not even be the Great War they spoke of.
I just had a great idea. What if you get 4 of the 5 foretellers' keyblades through normal gameplay,but Ava's one will only be obtainable by a huge sidequest that finishes off in a "Cavern of Rememberance" styled cave in the endgame of KH3. Not in the difficulty level....well maybe the difficulty level,but ALSO in the fact that it makes you use every ability you have learned up to now.
In the credits of chi you see skuld and ephemer going through the story and doing all the things the player foes. Maybe chi is a dream where you play through skuld and ephemer's memories.
Maybe, the end of KH unchained X was the player awakening from the dream world? And the images of Chirity ,Ephemera and Skuld are a sort of haulcination of the player's desires to see them again.
It would be nice to see at least Chirity again, even the nightmare one in Kingdom Hearts 3
Daybreak town doesn't have to be asleep....remember in DDD when Riku returns to the real world and the dream eaters are still with him because Sora is still sleeping? Maybe the dream eaters are from someone in that world who is sleeping, like maybe the Master? He does kinda disappear.
Luxu misinterpreted the masters intentions and kept the secret of the future and thus through fate causes disharmony betrayed the order and is willing to allow the world to fall into ruin. It all seems to be talking about Luxu though I doubt Luxu notices or thinks of it like that. Fitting that the one who dresses and wields the blade of Xehanort provides the means for Xehanort to continue the Keyblade war many years into the future. Luxu is like the first Xehanort and created everything that Xehanort needs to bring forth the full power of Darkness

Backcover doesn't seem to have dream eaters from what little we've seen. I think Backcover is what really happened and Chi/Unchained are just dreams of Daybreak Town(this has already been stated indirectly too, iirc). Would also mean that Nightmare Chirithy will come back.

Considering how broken Cure is when the denizens of KH remember it exists, I'm gonna venture a guess and say the player (barely) survives. We never see them die, or see their heart leave.
One thing that this game does answer is where all of the Nobodies, Boss Heartless, and original Pureblood Heartless came from. Like seriously, the number of Nobodies is nuts. And the games make it clear they were at least...*goes to write theory*
I think this has a lot to do with the fairy tale that Kairi's grandmother tells her. Basically, Daybreak town is a sleeping world like all other worlds became when the everything was covered in darkness. But at the end of the keyblade war, the light left in the hearts of fallen warriors formed kingdom hearts, welcoming all with a familiar face. Kingdom hearts then restored the world to a new form, rebuilding it. Perhaps this means that it gives them new lives, maybe in some reincarnation, or simply so that their sacrifice was not meaningless.
I think the Dandelions (Union Vulpes, AKA my Union) are the those who follow the traitorous Foreteller. Ursa explained the lines. "Disappointment by disharmony" and "you will go about in secrecy" explain Ava's intentions perfectly. She was disheartened by the war about to come and went on to form the Dandelions, those who would begin the new world, in secrecy. I'm at 11:29, but this more incriminating when Luxu asks her if she has the power to divert this fate and she attacks, striking the bell toll. This is just my theory.
Personally, I think that the player is dying and we can see very shortly before the camera zooms out on the player we can see a heart floating away from the player. I believe that because skuld was in the dandelions and we can see dandelion spores floating around instead of hearts that this is the world being reformed. Maybe skuld was making sure the worlds reformed separate. Also, "Lets go together." is the line sora says to riku when they leave The Realm of Darkness. Maybe this is the creation of nobodies?
They all went together to Kingdom Hearts. Kingdom Hearts is Heaven.

What if the Master of Masters name is Super (superbia/pride) which continues the Seven Deadly Sins theme naming. It completes the Seven Deadly Sins where his apprentices names are Invi of Anguis (invidia/envy), Gula of Leopardos (gulam/gluttony), Ira of Unicornis (wrath), Aced of Ursus (acedia/sloth), and Ava of Vulpes (avarice/greed) and Luxu (luxuria/lust).
Then again, just being called the Master of Masters sounds prideful enough.
Forgive me if 20,000 people pointed this out already, but Skuld is the name of a Norse Goddess and one of the three Norns with powers of Fates, Skuld representing the future. So maybe Skuld of LH is in fact a goddess.
Hey Cynical, Xaimi here. It is quite possible that KHx and KHUx are dreams and Daybreak Town is a world suspended in sleep. Let's put this another way: Everyone has had a dream/nightmare that contained people/images/scenes/feelings from actual moments in our lives. We wake up saying "Shit, that felt real." Maybe this is Nomura's way of including the real world in the player's dream? So, the Keyblade War really happened, but before KHx and KHUx, we never know the full story behind it. What better way to explain it than through dreams as if we are watching it from someone else's perspective-the player's. Could these be Ven's dreams as he sleeps? It is definitely something to think about.

perhaps these Sins are relative to the 7 deadly sins, being that they are the foundation of darkness and is what allows darkness to nurture within the heart. For example, someone who shows signs of greed will begin to grow in the heart.
i feel like Ventus is gonna be the main character in the back cover, and this is the back story of how he was brought up in birth by sleep.

About the last part: I rather think that, when the player dies, s/he sees her/his two friends, who are already dead. The conversation kind of makes more sense this way.
I'm still thinking that Riku, Kairi, Ventus,Terra, and Aqua are reincarnations of the fortellers. I noticed that Aced fights with the ground just like Terra does and Invi uses magic circle just like Aqua.
Personnally I thought that the "goddess" thing was because the Player is close to death, so he begins to see a great light and he interprets Skuld's form as the arrival of "a goddess". Because he is between life and death, what he sees makes him believe he is getting up to paradise... Pure hypothesis, very simple. X) However it could make sense : Skuld is compared to a goddess because she is one of the greatest person in the Player's heart : she brings him light, happiness, strength... Once again the power of friendship is shown up.
Luxu said he was more interested in the foretellers use of the keys and since he gave them their current keyblades what is the difference between them and the ones they had that would interest him.
Also according to lore we are told the x blade shattered into 20 pieces, kingdom hearts sank into darkness. we have not seen the x blade once in xchi and it is one of the reasons that xehanort is trying to pit 7 lights and 13 darkness against one another.
THis event the keyblade war sets off the events of the rest of the series.
Also skuld is named after the fate from norse mythology that sees the future, don't know if that is a coincidence.

"Misreading the truth, you will venture forth in secrecy..." in my mind this is talking about Master Ava, she misreads something in the Tomb and she ventures to go see Luxu in secrecy. "And then with that one strike, a bell will toll for the final battle, and the battle will begin at last, and the time shall be chosen." Obviously this one is clear, "that one strike" is when master ava attacks luxu causing a shock wave to move the clock hand on the tower and ring the bell signalling all the foretellers to assemble for battle. IMO, i think Luxu manipulated ava somehow with the missing page because her actions match the page to a T. Another guess, he already knew all this was going to happen because he is a Xehanort from the future, also explaining why he shares the same Keyblade as him.
i dont think the player died as you don't see their heart leaving them, we can see from kh 1 when sora sacrificed himself that square has no problems doing that either btw
Here's what I'm thinking, it's simple really, it all hinges on Chirithy. Remember that some time ago Nomura stated that "there is no such thing as death" in kingdom hearts somewhere. Meaning it's traditional sense. So, if Chirithy is a Spirit, and Nightmare Chirithy a nightmare, wouldn't that mean the world of the foretellers is asleep? What I think this is is simple. We AREN'T fighting in the keyblade war, this is the sleeping Daybreak Town after falling to darkness, and it's residence are re-living the last thing they did (the events leading up to the keyblade war) again, and again, and again, until they wake up. What if that's what Nightmare Chirithy meant by "another dream" just another iteration of the limbo they're in.
Also, Maybe this story takes place in Ven's dream since he is in deep sleep. That's the only way nightmares might exist in this world since its Ven's dream.

dude, in the beginning when the union leader is reciting the lost page passage, he is talking about about the Foretellers themselves. hear me out: "unable to permit disharmony you will be disappointed and lost sight of true strength" this is what the current foretellers are dealing with. they do not like disharmony and are disappointed by fate, meaning the fact that the war is unavoidable and they have lost sight of the truth that they were taught, leading to the next part. next "misreading the truth, you will venture forth in secrecy" that is literally what all the foretellers did in their attempt to find the "traitor". with this they are all in fact the traitor(s). This is the writer (Great teacher) trying to tell his students (the five foreteller factions)that because they are so hung up on the tomes they themselves will cause the prophecy (war) to come true. This is why Luxu told Ava the war was unavoidable. He knew exactly what the great teacher meant. He planted the seed and stood in the background and let the events happen as they were always going to. I think that Luxu, knowing the prophecy or great teacher intimately (not meaning sexually, just closely) either taught xenhort to plant the seed and watch the events unfold as the prophecy shows, or he is xenhort. which the latter would make more sense thanks to 3d's time travel clause. What do you think?
It would be cool if Skuld and her lineage/apprentices were the embodiment of Kingdom Hearts and Ephemera and his apprentice lineage to Master Xehanort was the embodiment of the Realm of Darkness

By preparing the Dandelions for the inevitable Keyblade War, Ava is accidentally causing (or at least accelerating) it. She chooses Keyblade wielders who "cannot be swallowed by a little darkness to be dandelions". This all sounds well and good until one realizes the implications: she is taking all the powerful Keyblade wielders who can resist the temptation of the darkness and leaving only those Keyblade wielders who can't. So when those first few Keyblade wielders start going bad naturally, they'll corrupt all the other Keyblade wielders around them, with very few able to resist. Soon enough, the darkness will spread like the plague, and then it will only be a matter of time before they destroy each other.
This would explain why her name is based on "Avaritia", or Greed.
My two cents: Just because Dream Eaters exist in Kingdom Hearts X doesn't mean its all an illusion, and it didn't really happen. In Dream Drop Distance, the worlds swallowed by Darkness never fully returned to the realm of light, rather they rest in the sleeping realm. Did those worlds not exist? They absolutely did. My theory is that the world of Kingdom Hearts X likely existed in the sleeping realm, but that doesn't mean that its all a dream and doesn't exist. That would explain how the Dandelions were able to escape to the realm of light and pass down the power of the Keyblade to the wielders in the present.
