    We just visited Judy's place last week. It's very fitting for her to be buried at Hollywood Forever. The Cemetery had just decorated her place with a huge spread of white flowers. Judy's Fans have left Yellow flowers at the doorway with nice notes of sentiment. It was touching to see 💛

    I love this cemetery. In October, 2016 the show the Talking Dead had a live broadcast from Hollywood Forever Cemetary and it poured the rain! There were thousands of people there and they showed the premier of that season's The Walking Dead show on huge screens. It was around Halloween.

    Golden Girls had every ingredient needed for a great show. The scripts were spot on and the actors (as well as the chemistry between them) were superb! The show doesn't get old. And it hits on many subjects that a lot of different types of people can relate to.

    Thanks, Jordan for showing us where Judy Garland was moved. I really love your videos. I have one request for a future cemetery video. I would love to see where Florence Henderson is laid to rest. I believe it is in Pierce Bros. the same cemetery as Zsa Zsa. Keep up the great videos. I enjoy all of them.

    Jordan this is incredible because I was just reading Lorna Luft's 1998 book "Me And My Shadows, A Family Memoir." I was reading chapter 4 "There's No Place Like Holmby Hills" and I was looking for a vlog on Holmby Hills and found one but not to my liking. What I love about your vlogs are the stories about the subject which makes it even more interesting. I hope one day you could do a vlog on Holmby Hills and Mapleton Drive and show some of those great houses of the stars. Lorna Luft wrote that it was a large Tudor-style house covered with ivy, I hope it's still there. What a great job you did on the Elvis house from '67 to '73. Keep doing that type of excellent work I love it!

    Good video, very interesting and thanks. Judy was a lovely woman, raised Episcopalian but had two Jewish husbands. MGM's dose of drugs and exploitation, Judy said, led to addiction and a lifelong struggle contributing to her demise. This is believable, and Judy hated her harsh hectic schedule, feeling her youth was stolen by MGM and her mother. Read Judy's biography by Anne Edwards (2013).

His brother of Ridley Scott is a director but producing "Zoe" (2018) "Blade Runner 2019" (2018) Tony jumped from the LA Suspension Bridge due to being diagnosed with cancer.

    Stone's on Jewish Graves, number of reasons why, to keep the soul of the person in this world, to keep away goblins other evil sprits, to show respect, that a person has visited, flowers die..... The tradition is an ancient one, graves were not dug instead, rocks were used to cover the dearly departed, it's likely that is why stone's are placed on headstones. The Jewish faith is steadfast in tradition, a lot of which is ancient.

    You should see the movie Mausoleum. Then you would really get freaked out in those places. These kids get locked in and at night things come out. That place reminded me of that movie. Its an older movie. Though disturbing. Tell Jah he is sweet as sugar but he won't melt if he goes out in a little rain.

    I read that Bugsy Siegel was killed because he borrowed like 3 million dollars to build the first casino in Las Vegas named the Flamingo Hotel and Casino. It was Siegel was saw the future of vegas. Siegel borrowed millions from his pal Meyer Lansky who was in charge of Lucky Luciano finances of course with the Luciano's approval. Siegel paid some of the money back but then when Luciano called Siegal about repaying the money, Siegel got mouthy with the boss & that was Siegel's first mistake then Luciano found out that Siegel was sending some of the pay back money to a Swiss Bank Account.Those two mistakes apparently are what singed Siegel's death warrant from Luciano. Meyer Lansky tried to intervene to stop Siegel's assassination but Luciano had enough and the rest is history! Siegel's girlfriend ratted him out to Luciano's men and he was actually murdered in her home while she was conveniently traveling through Europe at the time..This is what I have read, but the whole Siegel story is thrilling. Great videos Jordan!!

    • @timothygeiger437
      @timothygeiger437 3 роки тому

      That's pretty much known by most people. Bugsy Siegel was a mobster. You don't make the mob the money they expect in return for their investment, you end up like Bugsy Siegel. At least his murder & body was found, unlike Jimmy Hoffa whose body has never been found 45 years after he disappeared, & will never be found.

    • @timothygeiger437
      @timothygeiger437 3 роки тому

      Virginia Hill didn't really rat Bugsy Siegel out, more like she was informed by the mob that the assassination of Bugsy Siegel had come down from the Luciano crime family & she fled to Paris, France! After all Virginia Hill had been recruited by the mob & worked for them years before, starting with Al Capone! What better way to spy on rival gangsters, use the one weakness most men have, a beautiful woman!!

    So I live about 10 minutes from Ferncliff Cemetary which is located in Ardsley, NY. Judy Garland was in a above ground crypt there. Every week for years, the Judy Garland Fan club would leave flowers for her. I was friends with one of the groundskeepers and she said that many fans would visit and leave bottles of alcohol and cigarettes for her. Also buried in Ferncliff is Joan Crawford, Aayliah and Ed Sullivan. I was sort of surprised to hear Judy was moved but it makes sense. I do know her daughter Lorna Luft lives in the area part time. Jordan you are my brother from another mother. I’m so happy to see that there are other people just like me who are interested in old Hollywood.
