@@samtrotter7177 Exactly! Even worse, there's an overlap between the people complaining that they're supposedly being muzzled these days and those complaining when somebody makes fun of the church.
You easily could do this nowadays. The only people who’ve been close to being cancelled in Ireland were Versatile and that was proven to be a stitch up, but it also showed how absolutely bile driven a good portion of our country is. But they survived and still have a relatively solid fan base, and they do fairly well for a group the media tries very hard to absolutely destroy. There’s an audience and a market for everything; wokeism has nothing at all to do with David McSavage, he’s also a recovering alcoholic and a public nuisance (and I love him as a comedian). People have to realize this “wokeism” stuff really has next to no power. Name ONE artist who lost their career over wokeism.
back in the 70s that was definitely the case though, all the tv cop shows from America the bad guys were mostly black, but I suppose there was a certain amount of truth in that stereotype aswell
yes its brilliant, unfortunately anything that wasn't uploaded to youtube back then is now unsearchable as RTE have taken it off RTE player. There were other great clips that are not on youtube because nobody thought to upload them, they were on RTE player for a while and then it was all taken down
@@joesod how’s things sorry late reply ohh really that explains why I can’t find anything so I keep just going over old clips I can find on this I’m gutted now I didn’t watch it on tv 📺
@@Rashers- one of the funniest clips from the savage eye was a piss take of Ireland building the interconnector to France. It showed a boat rowing into a beech in France , McSavage was standing at the top of the boat with a giant 3 pin plug and cable in Napoleon pose and military music playing. He jumps onto the beech and runs up with the plug and cable to try and plug into the french grid which was a big two pin socket, so was unable to plug in. It was actually very topical as they only announced recently that they plan on doing just that building the interconnector to France It was hilarious but cannot find it anywhere, the idiots in RTE deleting the best content they had from the player
