Too bad that a driver's wellbeing trumps your need to watch another lap of racing. Pit road speeds came about after a member of Bill Elliott's crew was killed. Again, safety overrides your need to see them going 150mph on pit road with almost 100 other people out there that aren't protected by a 3,000+ pound steel vehicle while cocooned in a carbon fiber seat.

15:11 there is video of Heveron's car blowing over onto its side, but according to newspaper reports the car actually barrel rolled a few times when it slid back up onto the apron. He was county commissioner member for a number of years. Ran for secretary of state in NC in 96 and lost big.
