I'm really glad to hear it, I know when I was first adjusting to life with chronic pain/autoimmune it felt very lonely, so my goal is to help others feel less alone!
I feel you all, Fibromyalgia here and after an hour of therapy in the garden I feel alive and happy with my tiny progress but the pain afterwards is a drag, I don't let the pain overtake the joy, be happy with the tiny step and progress you make, even if its just pulling one row of weeds a few days in between. That's my trick and chickens hehe
Doing all of what you do while in pain is inspiring to many people in a similar situation i'm sure! my grandmother has similar experience as you and she keeps on going! I grew a pumpkin last year it was about the size of your white ones because i didnt know what i was doing (was supposed to be the huge orange one). i love your videos, so much information and such a wide variety of content, i like the fact you're adding crafts into the videos gives people some ideas, so thank you for that :) I hope you have a wonderful weekend momma, and make sure you relax a bit ❤
I really appreciate it! October is tough for sure, but the harvests make it worth it. The cooler weather does make spending time outdoors more enjoyable, even with my flare ups! Hoping to include lots more crafty stuff this winter :)
Beautiful pumpkins! Do you make pies just from the pumpkins? I have never made a pie from a fresh pumpkin but I have heard they don't have the same depth of flavour as pies made from the canned filling. From what I know, the commercial pie filling uses winter squash and butternut squash in addition to sugar pumpkin in order to get a stronger "pumpkin" flavour than you can get from pure sugar pumpkins!
I felt validated in my autoimmune related pain with what you said in the first thirty seconds or so.
Same! It’s so refreshing to hear that you aren’t the only one, y’know? And that Dagny is into gardening with chronic pain is so awesome + relatable.

Definitely not alone!

@@jenny_by_the_woods I have chickens too!
We just watched time-lapse videos of all sorts of vegetables being planted and growing. I think everyone would find them fascinating and educational.
I love those videos - it’s amazing to see the progress in such a condensed time frame

I have made pie but I agree it's a little more watery depending on the variety, a butternut pie is much better imo!
