I'm thinking of shipping my cactus back home after graduating overseas. It's going to take months if I send it by cargo, I hope it's going to be fine...
I love this video. I don't know how many timed I come back to watch it. I love everything aboit it. The. way you tell the story, how you handle the cut, even the sound of you crunching newspapers... Also I am an USPS mailhamdler and I know the secret methods USPS uses to smash any box. But I have to say your method is even more formidable! Thank you Tyler for this great video, instructive and entertaining at the same time. Bravo!
Hey @Mallacht’s Plants , I got one of you top cutting LER and it arrived broken halfway. The cactus is still together, it cracked near he middle and the crack goes midway through the cactus, horizontally. I want to keep the cutting together, should I put rooting hormone and/ or fungicidal? Should I tape it? My other cutting arrived undamaged.

Weeks, months even. Eventually it will begin to etiolate (stretch for lack of light) and look unsightly, but at that point the unsightly growth would be cut off and the cactus could still grow as normal in the sun. :)
