So this is what you do with your spare time...lol Actually HOLY COW it's impressive that you built an extending boom that doesn't bend very much at all, not to mention the outriggers, cabin and elevation. Great work is all I can say at the moment.
Add this for your consideration: this model does not include the jib extension that is part of the real crane. In otherwords, there is a possibility that this model could be designed such that it is much taller than it is now. Obviously that is going to require more work and refining but I believe that Jeroen will be the guy to do that. Looking forward to what he is going to do.
Guess that wiggle function of the 42131 kit, could perhaps make this one work as well? Just saw expanation about some operator this kit has, see link below. I used separate comment because youtube sometimes deletes messages like that
Jeroen Ottens Design really think you should revisit it And improve it This model as potential to be a awesome bit of kit Going tho buy the hole set that I’ve found online Has improved boom head and lipo battery boxes Has actual counter wights and is in mammoet red and black with stickers
you can buy this set off aliexpress, search for lego technic crane. The sellers give Jeroen Ottens half the cost in commission so he is being compensated fairly.
Nice build, if only for scale and show. It definitely took time, energy and ingenuity that get that together. Looks there is cable and winch to raise the boom, in addition to the linear actuators. I'm thinking there's some kind of synchronization between them so one doesn't overdrive the other and cause binding. Was a bit disappointed that this wasn't a "functional" model, though. I guess that boom was probably heavy enough. What are you using for your cabling?
How's it working for you? Are the motors to weak to extend the booms? And is it 1/16 scale roughly? I'm eyeballing one of these and just want wondering about it.
Well I haven’t finished the carrier yet, I’m almost done, I haven’t built the boom yet, however I’m wondering when I test it out if it’s good, but there’s only 4 very weak wheels moving the carrier, and it’s heavy! But those 4 wheels have no power at all, if I were to scale this when I’m done, probs about a 8/16
Woody 5326, however, my problems are my fault, I’m looking for a way to fix my own problem and I can’t , but I really don’t care about how my carrier moves, I just want it to work
Indeed ‘after a little help at the start’ it was willing to do what it supposed to do; driven by IR controls. But when you’ve appeared for the second time, this time saying ‘yes that’s me helping a bit’ you’ve completely lost your credibility!! This is not a RC model, this is a manual operated piece of Lego! Finally I cannot find myself in your plans you are offering just to build one of these and especially not the price you’re charging for it! You have to do some homework my friend and especially when you can buy these same PDF’s on Facebook for $ 15,00?! However, I must admit it’s a good looking model though👍
Each to their own. It is quite an achievement as it is just to design and then build this model. Obviously there has been a lot of trial and error but the end result is to be commended. BTW $75 for the instructions is reasonable considering the original time and effort in the design and then creating usable instructions for this original creation. I doubt any instructions from facebook will come anywhere near to the quality and accuracy needed.
How is this possible 😱 A work of sheer brilliance
Absolutely Incredible.
Was help needed at the beginning because the motor had too little power or because there was too much load on the gears so that they slipped
Hey jeroen! Awesome build!

Espetacular, Bravo!!!
Hi I need help please how to feed the string on this monster thanks
Whaou!😍😳😱It's juste INCREDIBLE, I think it's the best lego moc that I've ever seen!

I am afraid not. This set is just too heavy for some of the functions.
everyones making liebher shit lets go cant wait for August!!
Where buy
How much would something like this cost?
It is about a 1000 euro in parts, most of them are fairly common.
@@JeroenOttensDesign thanks for your reply. I keep an eye out, I think this is truly awesome and I would like to build one. Cheers
Not enough power
You can buy it from Amazon.
It costs about 650 euros.
@@andreaschober6113 give me link pls
Any new update on this model
Not from me. Some fans have made extensions though.
Jeroen Ottens Design really think you should revisit it

hello Mark. How does the crane work with this set, and where did you get the set from?
I love it so much
Crazy! Maybe gonna get this for just 500€ (no copy, real LEGO bricks)
It looks awesome except for the driver's cabin. It needs a windshield etc. pp.
That's my big issue with Lego Technic.
It's awesome I must buy instruction and make it
Dont the instructions are bad i cant finish the boom
Well done , Jereon ! I understand the helping hands by these heavy operations .... it´s LEGO ! ... not perfect RC Model !
A trick : watch movies on Flixzone. Me and my gf have been using them for watching loads of movies during the lockdown.

Unfortunatley this is not true. These people have stolen my design and do not compensate me for anything.

Thansk for the feedback. I use Coton Crochet 10 cotton wire.
@@JeroenOttensDesign You are incredible!
das ist schon ein richtig schöner Kran, mich würde mal interessieren wie die Idee für den Kran entstand?
The 42009 was the direct inspiration for starting this project. I maybe went a bit overboard with it :P
Jeroen Ottens Design cool
- Moooom!
如何購買
You can buy the instructions at jeroenottens.com/shop
So is it semi-motorized or semi-manual? :P It looks great though.

I’m not saying you shouldn’t buy it, it’s your choice, but building it is super confusing for me.

Wow your kinda attacking him for nothing. Do you have any idea how much time investment goes into such design?!?!
