loved your haul! I wanted to share a HUGE answer to prayer. I am 62 and my husband became interim of a small area church Dec. 27. small congregation about 30 on a good Sunday, I have age related macular degeneration and have been having injections since 2016, and I have developed cataracts also. I am scheduled for cataracts surgery on the 2th of this month and again on the 22nd of next month. My eye doctor suggested an upgrade of the lenses they will insert, my lenses were covered if they were basic, but he said it wouldn;t correct the entire issue of astigmatism which is labeled as severe. My husband and I talked and the additional out of pocket cost to us was over 3,00.00. We decided to pray and leave it with the Lord, Sunday after church the deacons called a special meeting and the church are paying that cost for us!!!! My husband wept and we cannot express our gratitude to those sweet saints in the Lord! We just couldn;t afford that extra cost right now, and the folks there at church said they loved us and wanted me to be able to see better... I am truly humbled and blessed.
First, have you ever heard of onion poultices? You slice onion and simmer in a fry pan with water until the onion is pearlized, then place on two hand towels and fold them over like a burrito. Place on your chest, being careful not to burn your skin. You want it hot, but not burning. Cover yourself with a blanket and lay down for an hour. This helps draw the fluid out of your lungs. You can warm up the onions again in a microwave and repeat. I wouldn’t use the onions more than twice, but you can repeat the process as often as needed. I’m a RN and did this on a friend who had double pneumonia all night one night and she was able to breathe with ease by morning. Now about the mold. Get professional help to remediate it! It is very serious and will continue to affect your health until it is resolved. Your soft furnishings, blankets etc.. can be tricky because mold spores permeate things. Don’t clean them yourself! Have someone help you. You’re in my prayers Kristen. I hope you’re feeling better very soon.
Years ago when I was pregnant with my daughter, we lived in a rock house. It had mold. I was sick continually. Actually I was sick with pneumonia when I went into labor with my daughter. That was rough. I coughed and wheezed for 8 months after she was born. She was sick a lot too. We got the mold cleaned up and got a different heating system and I finally got well and stayed well. The doctor said I had asthma. I don't have it anymore. Mold is bad. I love all the things you hauled, especially the salt cellar.
Get yourself a glass knob or a blue knob and glue it in the middle of the plate for the lid! That is what I did and looks so pretty and holds great! Just an ideal for you. 🥰❤️👍✅
Hey Kristen! At Walmart I purchased these rubber shoes for gardening. When finished I just hose them off and stand them up to drain! They're like a closed toe croc! Best shoes I've ever worn outside. I've had them for years and they still look new! Those pink shoes would look great with denim or khaki shorts. To me....too nice for the yard. Kristen, you are just the prettiest, sweetest UA-camr! Always so friendly and chatty. Love that about you! I hope you and your family feel better real soon. Prayers for you and your family. 🙏🩷🩷🩷🩷💙and ?. 😂🤣😂
Hey lady, hope you feel better soon. Regarding your salt box for the kitchen, take it with you to dollar store and find a wooden lid that fits on it. Then you buy a cheap wooden knob, you know the once they used for drawers and paint it the same blue as your salt box design😉. The holder for the wall is a glove holder from an old dr's office, i would rather add it in the girls bathroom against the wall with tissues in it. Love your video. Much love from South Africa
Just had to let you know; I have a collection of the little dish you’re using as a cover for your salt crock. It is called Chinese rice grain blue white porcelain. If you hold it up to light you will see little rice eyes in the porcelain. It was made in Jingdezhen so it’s also called Jingdezhen porcelain. Love your decorating and hope your feeling better😌
I love it. My dad had a handful of tiny little bowls like these that he used to hold ingredients when he was cooking or baking. I wish I could find some. I don’t know what happened to his after he graduated to the next life.
I know you want to put the Kleenex box in Ivy’s room but you could also hang it on the kitchen wall and put plastic bags from shopping. It would make accessing plastic bags easier and totally pretty
Hang the “tissue” box in the nursery and use it store wipes while baby’s still in diapers. Tip for catch all storage - keep it shallow so you can see what’s inside. If it’s too deep, someone will end up dumping it to find something and you’re back to a mess. Love the set of horse prints! 🧺🐎
The plate that you selected to go on the salt box Is in the Chinese Rice pattern. You will ind many pieces in the stores in China Towns, in major cities. Hold it up to the window. You will see the light shining through the rice that is scattered on the pattern.
Love your hall, yes wear the runners to garden you will look cool. Also I think yo should not hang the tissue box. Place it on the book case. You have a sweet way of sharing your channel.
I didn’t think you could get more beautiful but you have such a glow from your pregnancy! My son and his wife who has a 10 month old baby boy Aemond found out they are pregnant again due in October and we had gender reveal yesterday it’s a girl ❤ now i’ll have 5 grandsons and 2 granddaughters I’m so lucky.
I am off the scale allergic to mold and am so glad that you have identified the problem! I get headaches if I am near a mold source as well as sneezing and runny nose. You may want to consider getting a good quality HEPA air purifier for each bedroom to help minimize your exposure while you are getting the problem fixed. I knew a family who found there was mold in the wall of their master bedroom. They started investigating when the kids were sick all the time and the mother started losing her hearing. Great that you are addressing the problem!
Oh no! Mold absolutely ruined my life! We actually had to get rid of all our belongings including our vehicles! 😢 I would highly recommend a air purifier from Princess House company. It is unlike any we have ever used or heard of. It puts out these little air scrubbies so to speak that clean the air and also any and all surfaces. It also pulls air through the machine and cleans it that way too. It works great for getting rid of mold and many other bad stuff! You should sleep with one and have one in your main living area. God bless you all! Love your channel! 🩷🌿🪷
Could you find a round disc type piece of wood maybe at Hobby Lobby or a big box store for your salt box? The plate does work but just a thought. Great haul
Hi Kristen and fam.....Just a suggestion. I take the tissues out of the boxes and place in random containers. That way they fit in anything. Try it with your new metal tissue container to see if it works. You would not have to hang it on the wall unless you wanted to do that. Hope the pregnancy is going well. xo Nancy and Wally the wiener dog from OHIO.
for the sweet salt box.. Michaels sells little wood rounds in the craft section .. you can stain it brown and add a little white porcelain knob from Lowes and it will be good as new! Absolutely love the framed print of the girl drinking tea. It has such a sweet gentleness about it. You can always upgrade the frame later . That was a total score for $1.99!!!! I so get the toilet paper holder excitement!!! My toilet roller is so close to the toilet that you have to unroll some before you sit down.. haha!
It looks like a market basket of some kind. I just bought a wood salt box. The lid flips around, but it’s attached. I wanted something that would close up too. And it came with a spoon. I would use them in the garden. They can be washed in the washing machine. Just don’t dry them in the dryer. Let them air dry. The tissue box would be fine to hang on a wall. Hey if you need it.i would definitely use it.
I was so sick for so long because of mold in the work place. I was on inhalers, doing breathing treatments every day and lots of med, including steroids . I took a different job and I’m never sick now. I no longer need inhalers or breathing treatments. Mold is not something to play along with. Take care.
Good for you! Walk out with nothing from Goodwill. I dont go there anymore because of their prices. As long as we keep shopping there and giving to them, they really don’t give a rip. I look forward to visiting with you every week.❤
I'm here because of Emily's video! I love videos snd thrifting too, by the way! I hope you feel better soon. It seems everyone has a cold these days. It's been funny weather everywhere too.
I would get a pair of plastic garden slip on shoes. if you have to go in the house, you can slip them off quickly. You can hose them off . They are quite comfortable..
Good idea with the plate on the salt box, looks great. We live in a 100 year old home and invested in a air purifier/humidifier, best investment ever it was around 500 but our home smells so clean and no old house smell that we used to get once in awhile. I have been watching Emily for a bit now, she is so sweet.
I have that same toilet paper holder I thrifted as well, I took the bar to hold the paper off and use it on my vanity with a cute vintage straw hat on one end and my longer gold necklaces on the other end, I get so many compliments on it, and I always say it’s for toilet paper I just saw another function for it 😂
Hi Kristen.I hope you and your family feel better and stay well!It must be hard to be pregnant with the 3 girls when you dont feel well!I love your thrift finds!!My favorites are the salt holder and matching plate, the horse pictures, and the beautiful vintage pitcher!!!!!For a girl who has been sick you look great!!!Hope you have a good week hon!😁❤👍
The green frames on the horse prints are nice! Can you add rub n buff to darken that frame a bit.. ( the print of the girl )?, mold..🫤.. prayers y'all feel stronger soon. God bless 🙏🏼.
Workmanship is good. The doors are nice change. Pretty sofa. The buffet is so bright and it doesn't match anything in the room. It would have looked better if you left it as it was. Great job on the stairs! Looks larger with the walls taken down. You all have done a lot of wonderful renovations.
So sorry to hear you have been so sick. Get well soon Kristen. Some great finds. In regard to the new/used shoes. If pink isn't really a color you love; I vote to go ahead and use them for the garden. Its nice to have really comfy shoes for gardening.
Kristen, Loving all of your finds!! The vinatge basket is for picking fruit, strawberries, apples, you name it!! Your salt box is the exact one that I have from my grandmother. They are selling anywhere from $100 on upward to $150 or more...I love mine!! I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day and thank you for inspiring so many. xo
Kristin, just to add to this comment, the basket is for picking fruit and veggies as this person commented. It's called a bushel basket. So you feel it up and the amount is called a bushel...i.e. a bushel of strawberries, or a bushel of corn, etc.
Great finds Kristen and yes get excited about the little things that make you happy. That toilet paper holder is very pretty. Mine use to be an ugly chrome eye sore lol Feel better soon and can't wait to see what you have planed next.
Love the salt box! The plate is cute but I think it would look really sweet if your hubby could cut you a piece of wood to fit the top then add a cabinet knob for the top. Great finds!
I bought some inexpensive rubber garden clogs at Aldi's, just hose off the dirt and mud! Your pink nikes would be so cute with a denim skirt or with capris
Thank You Kristen for sharing this video. You really did find some very neat items. The toilet paper holder is good looking. They are so handy! The holder in my apartment isn't in a handy place. One of my neighbors left hers behind when she moved out. I have it and it's great. I'm sorry about the 'mold' situation. Stay well and continued Blessings!
I think that first basket is a basket made for berry picking. It is very lightweight by intention. I don’t think these are antique. I think they are still in common usage.
Love all your thrift finds especially the salt container. Your idea to top it with the sweet little plate is genius!! Hope you start to feel better. We have been fighting the same head colds for a couple weeks now and it's no fun! Wear the pink garden shoes....they can be washed and it's all about comfort in the garden! Take care of that mold by a professional so it doesn't cause you further health issues. You might even check with your insurance company to see if it can be covered. Love to follow you!!! God bless!!
I like these videos. I can’t wait to see the decorating of all the items you found. My younger sister and I grew up having horses and still love horses.
I would buy a pair of slip on hard rubber garden shoes for outside ( I purchased mine at tractor supply) and save your cute new sneakers for normal wear.
So sorry you've not been feeling well, I hate you're dealing with so much.. you're still beautiful as ever! I'll definitely keep you & your family in my prayers🙏 Also, glad to see you and Emily doing a collab together! She's such A sweet person, always smiling no matter what.. Two of my fav's for sure!😊 You guys have alot in common!🤰The baskets are for produce mainly, you can sometimes find them at a produce stand. A lot of times they are old as many stands have changed to handled bags. You could hang the tissue box by the bed if you want to hang it🤷♀️ Absolutely love the art print of the young girl, very antique looking and that's the kind of art i look for, anything that looks old! I'd buy it and rub & buff the frame to make it look old, or transfer to an old ornate frame, either would be pretty! You always make me laugh and I love it😄 Go for that toilet paper rack girl, I've used one before, there nice😊 Really enjoyed today's video..God bless my friend🙏❤
Kristen, l hope that you and your family feel better soon. I would paint the green and cream frames black. Ralph Lauren design is very inspired by horse's. The duck print will look fabulous in your back enclosed porch.😊 Your toilet roll holder stand is nice too.😊
Kristen, I sure hope you're on the road to better health!! Can you share what air quality test you used? I think my grown daughter and grandkids are sick a lot because of mold. It would be so helpful to know for sure.
Mold can be a problem with the house itself, but also “things” (furniture, etc) in the home. I often have to leave some antique stores pretty quickly because I start to feel sick due to musty things in the stores. I have allergies and react pretty quickly.
I hope you and your family start to feel better. I would start by putting an air purifier in every room, won’t completely solve the problem but it will definitely help.
Love the salt lamp. Never have seen one. Maybe wear crocs in garden. Your sneakers are nice to save for a summer outfit! Feel better! Even sick, you are glowing!
Those baskets have always been used to harvest from the garden in my family. I think they may have been used to hold apple or something originally, but I could be wrong.
Love a thrift haul! I garden a lot so my advice is to wear a comfortable shoe. As you mentioned you bend, squat, and are generally all over the place when gardening, so I say wear the Nike's! Praying for the healing hand of God on the Hoffman family...be well and whole, in Jesus' name. 🤗
I vote for keeping the pink shoes for good. They will look great with casual outfits. And the picture of the girl sipping tea does need a different frame - it's a moodier print so it needs something darker and heavier. Good luck with that mold situation! I hope you get well fast. Here's the bright side - at least you can get seen by your doctor - where I live, we can only do video chats and they can't do much. So, at least your doctor is accessible. Also, maybe the kleenex box could be used for something practical like a crayon/pencil box, or ponytail holders, or a place to keep scotch tape and scissors.
The Art girl drinking is so endearing.
loved your haul! I wanted to share a HUGE answer to prayer. Great idea 😊
Great idea!
Garden clogs are great and cheap! Save the Nikes. Love you and your content!

I second this!! Get some rubber shoes for gardening. Easy to hose off!!
And congratulations beautiful Rosie!
Your pitcher is likely a homemade ceramic piece. Get some Walmart shoes for gardening and save your nice pink ones for regular wear.
Hey lady, hope you feel better soon. Regarding your salt box for the kitchen, take it with you to dollar store and find a wooden lid that fits on it. I love how the dots on your salt box lid/plate are a little transparent when held up to the light. 🥰
That picture of the girl is so pretty. I love it! Also, I love Emily! And you, Kristen. I always watch for new videos from you.
I know you want to put the Kleenex box in Ivy’s room but you could also hang it on the kitchen wall and put plastic bags from shopping. It would make accessing plastic bags easier and totally pretty
I love the sneakers. Would be so pretty with jeans or a midi dress, especially a white skirt.

I would keep the pink Nike runners and find some rain type booties for gardening. At least, you can wash them!!😊
The plate that you selected to go on the salt box Is in the Chinese Rice pattern. You will ind many pieces in the stores in China Towns, in major cities. Hold it up to the window. You will see the light shining through the rice that is scattered on the pattern.

First thing to my mind was a vintage glove box holder, maybe in a doctor's office or hospital.
Had so much fun collaborating Kristen! Loved all you found and I hope you can feel your best real soon 🤍🙏🏻
Congratulations!
The picture of the little girl would be so cute in a play room or the nursery. ❤
Always enjoy your video's. You are so calming.
Great haul Kristen! I love the print of the girl with a cup. Beautiful! I pray you and the family all feel better soon.
Thank you so much!
I would keep the shoes to go walking, shopping or just everyday shoe. 💗
Emily sent me over. Look forward to seeing your videos.
Those horse prints are adorable and will make a perfect addition to Ivys room! I pray you feel better soon! 🙏🏻
My toilet roller is so close to the toilet that you have to unroll some before you sit down.. haha!
Kristen, I would leave the glass in the picture frames, you can get an 8 x 10 or whatever size piece of glass for $1 or 2 at the hardware store.
You have really been through it! I pray you recover completely and you are able to solve the mold issue.
I was so sick for so long because of mold in the work place. I was on inhalers, doing breathing treatments every day and lots of med, including steroids . I’m so sorry to hear how sick you’ve been! Praying you guys can clean up the house and feel better soon 🙏
Thanks Kristen. I look forward to your videos and sometimes re watch old ones. I wish I looked as good as you do when you're sick. Feel better soon.😊❤
Me too!
Have Lowes or Home Depot cut some plexiglass for your horse prints. LOVE THEM!
I'm sorry you are so sick so much. Let's pray that you get some wonderful weather to be outside and get fresh air and sunshine.
White tulips would look good in the white pitcher.
I'm here because of Emily's video! I love videos snd thrifting too, by the way! I hope you feel better soon. It seems everyone has a cold these days. It's been funny weather everywhere too.
Love all your great finds, especially the salt box. Praying for you to get better and stay healthy. 🙏
I always use plates to cover leftover food in the refrigerator. I never have to buy plastic wrap or foil and so it won't go in the landfills.
I have a large , old heavy wire, vintage basket in my bathroom to hold extra rolls of tp 😉
I would get a pair of plastic garden slip on shoes. if you have to go in the house, you can slip them off quickly. You can hose them off . They are quite comfortable..
Good idea with the plate on the salt box, looks great. I have that same toilet paper holder I thrifted as well, I took the bar to hold the paper off and use it on my vanity with a cute vintage straw hat on one end and my longer gold necklaces on the other end, I get so many compliments on it, and I always say it’s for toilet paper I just saw another function for it 😂
Feel better soon!!! Take care. I love everything you found❤
Kristen, I enjoy your videos and I like all you buy

Emily is a doll…thank you for giving her a nod on your video!
I love the Salt Cellar. You saw past the dirt and grime and now have a beautiful piece.

Loved your thrift finds! Hope everyone is feeling better real soon!
Love the salt box! The plate is cute but I think it would look really sweet if your hubby could cut you a piece of wood to fit the top then add a cabinet knob for the top.
Great finds!
Kristin , your idea with using a sweet plate for the salt box was an excellent idea..I love it....❤❤
Thanks so much! 😊
I love horse prints as well. Good find! 🐎
That kleenex box could also be so cute as a little lint collector in a laundry room hung up!
Your hair is gorgeous in this video!
Oh thank you!
I love the horse prints, the beautiful girl drinking ... and I love the toilet roll holder ! Thank you for sharing your finds. ❤
I like these videos. I can’t wait to see the decorating of all the items you found. My younger sister and I grew up having horses and still love horses.
Love watching your videos…I love everything..blessings 🙏🙏🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🙋🏻♀️🌻
I would buy a pair of slip on hard rubber garden shoes for outside ( I purchased mine at tractor supply) and save your cute new sneakers for normal wear.
Throw caution to the wind on those pink shoes! They will serve you well as gardening shoes!!
The duck print will look fabulous in your back enclosed porch.😊
Your toilet roll holder stand is nice too.😊
Kristen, I sure hope you're on the road to better health!! Can you share what air quality test you used? I think my grown daughter and grandkids are sick a lot because of mold. It would be so helpful to know for sure.
It’s called mold armor!
enjoyed you video today Great finds Hope you're feeling better soon.
I love the picture of the girl with a cup.
Mold can be a problem with the house itself, but also “things” (furniture, etc) in the home. I often have to leave some antique stores pretty quickly because I start to feel sick due to musty things in the stores. I have allergies and react pretty quickly.
Great point!
Praying for all of you Kristen God bless
I hope you and your family start to feel better. I would start by putting an air purifier in every room, won’t completely solve the problem but it will definitely help.
Thanks for the tips!
Thanks for the video today. Feel better. Can't wait to see when everything is done and ready to show❤
Love the salt lamp. Never have seen one. Maybe wear crocs in garden. Your sneakers are nice to save for a summer outfit! Feel better! Even sick, you are glowing!
The print of the girl is so sweet. If you have room in the kitchen it would be fun to try it there
Take care of yourself, and babe start some zinc. Hope you feel better quickly. Prayers!
Loved your haul! Get well soon❤
Enjoyed sorry u been sick great haul.
Sorry you guys have been continually sick! I hope you are able to find a solution soon!
Use your pink runners for the garden $3.00 is a steal.
Love the salt box.
