Adding on to this well said commenter: please consider making a habit of not telegraphing your destinations. Since your profession is vlogging, you may need to tell we viewers occasionally, but you don’t have to say it aloud casually (in hotel lobbies, or to people you chat with in hotel or at sites). Make sure the hotel staff don’t announce your planned destinations aloud either (or your hotel room #). Of course someone from vlog could be a problem, that’s a risk we all take just being out in the world, but I suggest these habits becoz there are also many crimes of opportunity & criminals of opportunity. They can be like, “beautiful girl, not a local, solo, going to Baguio…interesting”. NOT TODAY SATAN! LOL , but actually serious…
…p.s. I don’t wish to be labeled as scolding you as I know you are an adult, world traveler, & I believe you are fully capable of “adulting”, though you sometimes speak self deprecatingly about your abilities… It s not so much the people you’re conversing with but “listeners in” that I worry about, opportunists. Ty for the slower stroll thru the area, I wish I had appreciated my own time at Intramuros more…I was SO HOT & also wore wrong shoes….Now I know better what to do…
Learn to be firm when you say no to people and walk away.
Walk away when street person approach you they are 100 percent scammers.
