I saw the small one in the middle, no biggie. Where the end cap is unfortunate. With such a premium you think the quality control would be better😏. Still really cool. Its one of the reasons what I enjoy your round, the thickness just says grab and hold me😄👍
Silver Bean Counter posted a video on this series and then pulled his two 2019 Allegories in capsules out to show them off and found them to have massive milk spots. Going back to stacking and playing it safe. The premiums on BU rounds is out of control in today's market.
In 2011, the most valuable and largest coin ever minted was created by the Perth Mint. Valued at over $50 million at the time it was struck, this coin held a $1 million face value, was 30 inches in diameter, and nearly 5 inches thick. So, that was Thicker by a LOT! 5 inches = 127 mm
Lol...send it to NGC for grading, would love to see their faces when they try to slab it!😱🤣👍😊✌ As you know, I'm purely a Stacker....but if I were a collector & had to pay such a high premium I would expect & want perfection. Granted hard with such a thick piece.
The thing about buying silver is that it just sits there and sparkles and does nothing. Buffet says you can buy PM, slap it on a shelf, watch it sparkle and glitter and occasionally fondle it but nothing else. I put my stacking on hold for now and instead diverted funds toward equities.
Wow. That is so cool. I think it’s awesome they use the diameter for all there rounds. I’ve only been purchasing the 1 and 2 oz due to price, but that 10 oz is absolutely awesome;) nice buy🤘😉👍
I love the Germania mint coins! That round thickness is awesome! I couldn’t care to much about scratches on the side of the round. You never really look at the sides of a coin or round.
@@SalivateMetal A little to big! lol Were not use to seeing coins/Round looking like that and is very odd but different which is intriguing but I’ll choose our traditional 10 oz diameter. Do all the germania mint 10oz rounds look the same or was this just the first year?
Wow Sal!! That is certainly a thick coin 😂. Congratulations on obtaining one of these. Glad you were able to get it out of the capsule.... looks even more impressive. WTG! TYU SFU 😎
We all new that this video was coming sal because your down with the thickness and so happy that you are . Pictures just don’t do it justice nice to see it in hand wanted to pull the trigger on this so bad but instead I got a tube of eagles and 5 1 oz allegories thank you so much for showing this piece
Thank you for showing. Never seen anything like it. I really like 2 oz coins because they are chunky. This takes it to a whole new level! Ever think about send in for grading? That would blow their minds! Love you Sal!
Not for me. It's a departure from the main focus of stacking. But, if your stack is pretty much complete, why not. :) I'd rather have three 10 oz Silver Bars from the Royal Canadian Mint.
The box is gorgeous, but I don't think I could go in on that premium. If it were just a "round" at standard +2/oz I'd consider it, but just too much for my interest. It is pretty though.
You're right it is a slug to take out a tank.. I stopped buying silver like that a long time ago although it's fun and it's a great show Sal but I lost my butt on Silver like that but you're you are a collector so art is worth what you're willing to pay for it
Jusus! It is bad ass! The bombizzel! basically 1 of a kind peice. For long term the value may be the same what you paid for it when silver is $60.00 per oz lol just my opinion . It would be interesting to see it on Ebay for 15 day auction
That is a very unique piece Sal. Too bad there's some damage to the edge but it's not terrible. Although the premium is way too rich for my blood you seem happy and that's all that counts!
Hi Sal. Sorry to see you also experience scratches on this 10 oz Germania! Mine had several scratches and good sized “ding” at the bottom of the reeded edge. I’ll try to email you a picture of it. Very sad that these are “premium rounds/coins”, and that they are being shipped out like this (especially since the Germania Mint told me that the delays are due to their “strict quality control”). My guess is that either the reeded edge is very hard to extrude, or that they are being scratched up due to the weight of the round (bumping into each other during production). It will be interesting to see how many others have seen this.
That is one of the weirdest looking rounds or coins, but I like it. By the way, I lived off and on in Germany for over 7 1/2 years. I still have left over Deutsche Marks along with several other European country currencies.
I would be quite suspect of such a round being unmolested if it were to be found without marks on the knurling. Silver is a rather soft metal. Finding such a large round in perfect condition (perfect knurling) would be nearly impossible.
North East - Bummer. Another expensive “engineered scarcity” item from Germania Mint (that I need to find money for)! :o( I hope they don’t have the scratches I found on the reeded edge (from my 10 oz Columbia)!
Nice piece to have but I still hold bullion. I would sweat trying to even get my purchase price from a dealer or collector. If you're rolling in fiat what the fu?k. Nice video.
I got 6 Angel's from jmb and all 6 on every facet was ratty and looked like shark mouth from 007 tried to eat it. They at first said no to the return trying to say they are regular. Then they changed their mind for whatever reason. They wur in worse shape than 2 Mexican libs I picked up the other day from 84😂😂. They tried to punk me and even threw in a tube I guess to ease my gaping hole. If I could post pics
Watch to the end to see it out of the capsule and see the damage!

Love this round Sal, got my 10 oz yesterday as well! Its insane 🔥🔥🔥

That is a righteous piece of silver. Germania mint is one my favorite to get coins.

Did you see my last Germania vid from last week? My original Germania rounds were spotted to hell. Worth spot price. I'm abandoning the series.

Awesome my friend. I was wondering how much they were going for now
Personally i prefer bigger diameter over chunky ones
Wow $600. That’s an impressive piece!
Get down with the thickness Sal. I've never seen one like that before.
NOW that's a chunky piece of silver😊👍
Sal, will u get the 10 oz britannia and germania they are releasing next month? Im on the fence..

Probably not. I didnt know they were releasing one
Yeah, looks like March is the release date. I think I will pass as well. The only thing that would get me to move would be a kilo version. 😍😂🔥🔥
Most Definitions of what a Cylinder is make no reference to the relationship or ratio of Height vs Diameter.
That is a bummer. Still the thickness is crazy
Unfortunately, I have gotten some sub-standard gold and silver bullion pieces from MM.
Are there things like this for 2023?
I believe there will br
What a chubba-bubba piece. Wow, I like it
I'd much prefer the large diameter when it comes to 10 oz coins and rounds.
Agree. Germania just got lazy. Don't be foolish and get this crap.
That thing is a piston!
3rd time watching this I can watch the thickness all day ha ha ha
