Great info! Learning on the job as a utility is great, but there’s always little bits of information people forget to tell you or just don’t have time to explain. Really appreciated this video! Looking forward to the review

Great video! One note, Gold Mount is the US standard for the film industry. Outside of the US, Gold Mount is not used nor is widely available. Each experience is different and even as a US based filmmaker, I've never had a problem with either. There is a common misconception that V-Mounts easily pop off yet I've experienced that exact issue with Gold Mounts with loosened pins.

Thanks for the insight on other standards around the world!

Yeah I’ve stuck with v mount and never had a problem. I lobbed a v mount on its charger off my roof just to prove a point that it doesn’t pop off 🤣. V lock just seems to be more available on new gear. Cameras. Lights. And for those who insist on staying on a gold mount system I just have adaptors. Doesn’t bother me

Do a review of the Teradek, looking at getting one myself and there's not much on youtube

I'll get right on it. I've used it on a couple jobs now. I have one more job this week I'll use it for then I'll make a review.

I want to know if you can use this for tetherless camera operation in a live stream. I've never heard this addressed with these equipment.

I know Teradek has the Cube, Vidiu and Vidiu Go systems that are for streaming. As for camera control, do you mean camera settings or actual operating on a remote head?

@@FilmmakerSurvival What I mean is...one would have a camera connected via HDMI cord to a computer via capture card during a stream using OBS on that computer for example.
Can you DITCH this HDMI connection for the Teradek bolt so that you can move that camera around freely without it being tied to a cord while streaming the wireless feed from that camera?

You definitely could use the Teradek Bolt for that. This is basically what they are for. You would have your transmitter on your camera that would wirelessly send the signal to the receiver that can be connected to your capture card via HDMI. This would lose the wired connection from your camera. It would also be in 4K if using HDMI and your camera supports 4K HDMI out.

@@FilmmakerSurvival THANK YOU....everyone and every tutorial online that reviews these products....ONLY mention it in terms of remote viewing by a director or other people who can't be too close to the scene of action. Thanks,

I agree. I see these and I often think in terms of livestreaming. I think about adding livestream to my services for my business but I want to have a clean and reliable set up. My thought process is that this could connect to my ATEM and I would be able to have two cameras connected that I can switch between. I also think about the integration with Ninja V Cast. I can never find a video about anyone that is using the set up in that way.
