Spam and ramen is a seriously underrated meal out in the bush, especially if you can find some wild onions
HAPPY NEW YEAR! I pray your year is blessed!
I typically carry a haversack whenever I’m in the woods. The load out changes with whatever I’m doing or planning. But some of the basics are always in there. I’ve never used any of their gear.
I’ve been running an old polish bread bag for years. They don’t come waxed but it doesn’t take much to wax it and it’s a nice sturdy little pack.
great video great satchel review. looks right up my street for small game hunting. for some reason i prefer a big satchel /messenger style bag to a backpack for short excursions i guess because you can have a good rummage without having to take the bag off. loving the dpm pattern jacket its a cool classic pattern here in the uk 👍🏻
The knife stood out for me ito design ideas. Calories are good, essential is perhaps a better word. A must IMO for a day bag and even in a get-home bag. The big idea with any bag is organizing and accessibility. Thanks for sharing
At least 2 or 3 times a month we have Spam, Ichibang with an egg. Sometimes we add some mixed veg., and onions. Great eats!!! It's so popular here on Guam introduced to the island when US troops were liberating our island in '44. We just had Spam Fried Rice the other day. Per capita Guam is the #1 consumer of Spam worldwide.
I must move there so I can eat more spam!
I have one of the Original Fishpond Bags that I have had for quite a few years!
Nice kit, I like it. Lunch works too.
Nice kit! Well thought out - thankee!
👍 Very well done gear review. Some very interesting items that I will add to my collection of gear (titanium stove & canteen/cup kit pouch). Extremely good lunch. 🙂
Good video. God bless. From Glenn CATT in Massachusetts.
That looks very delicious and I would never thought about putting spam in that
Try it. Its fantastic
Grate review on the pack good video thanks for sharing
I should wait till the end to comment 😂but love that load out btw. Keith titanium is awesome I started using them a few years ago and yeah… they’re awesome I don’t see enough people using their gear. But if ya know know… they’re worth every penny.
Great video, enjoyed watching
Happy Newyear :)
This reminds me of the Finnish military gas mask bag.. accept in a fully tricked out version. I have one of the gas mask bags that is my haversack currently. I have not modified it in any way just yet but I am planning on it. Great piece of gear you have!
Looks like a good lunch! Only thing you're missing is a good beer to go with your lunch!
I also really like that tool roll!
Nice haversack. I got a raging river. Off etsy
Awesome video my friend
It's a great looking loadout, sir. I like that you didn't overthink it. Simple, yet functional. Great job, sir. Btw Happy New Year.
Haven't watched the channel for a long time. I like the canteen kit looks cool. What do they hunt in Ohio?
Just got mine, after watching your video. It's a great bag and carries more than a couple of other bags I have. I really like the quality and design/layout and the ability to expand the front of it. The waxed canvas has a nice finish and well done. Thanks for another great video.
Glad it worked out for you.
Fun!
No requirements in Ohio for orange while hunting? Nice bag and gear review.
great video! I tried to locate the stove its nowhere on amazon or eBay. any idea where I can purchase one? Thanks
What binoculars and jacket are you using inbthe video?
Nice video, decent haversack
Are you wearing a m65 field jacket in the video? If so where did you get it and how does the sizing run on them? Thanks
It is a British surplus jacket. You can get them on eBay, and many different surplus sites
Where did you get the Kydex Sheath for the JG3. I just got one of those knives for Christmas and would like a Kydex sheath. Thanks.
RK customs on Etsy
@@ThePreparedWanderer Thank you
You get many questions about your DPM pattern jacket? I bought a British jacket back in 1981 when I was stationed in England. I have so much DPM now, from Dutch tents and bags, to another British jacket and backpack, I love the pattern myself!
Yeah people are curious what it is. Love surplus!
The only way i can eat spam is if its crispy lol, its not about taste, its texture!
Thanks for filming
Everything you need and nothing you don’t 💯
glamping gear but eating college dorm food lol!!
Great video you have all you need, but where is your bandanas?
In my pocket
@@ThePreparedWanderer fantastic.
Is that a 10/22 takedown? I haven't seen that configuration before. The barrel looks short. Please apprise.
Yes 10/22 with tactical solutions barrel and magpul backpacker stock
eep! lol, that butchering up the Spam looked a bit fidgety for me.
Firebox Stove sells a decent round/350° worthy cutting board that would just glide in that bag. Maybe help stiffen up a side for support. Med./9 inch @ 8.4 oz it says. (also a small @ 7")
'n surely cutting boards aren't 1 trick pony's.
HNY ~ Please excuse my .02
That log looked like half punk wood. Moist, but yeah.
It would be cool to do a video where you hunt, clean, cook, and eat the squirrel or rabbit in the field.
I agree
FJB!!
Luck
YIKES! that's a $100 haversack, nope, don't think so...
Are you an Ohio boy?
I wasn't going to say it, honest, but .... blurrrghhh, looks disgusting ... why not eat decent food if you're going to be outside? That said, it was nice to see you sitting there so relaxed.
It's delicious try it sometime
