Something I never see anyone talk about when it comes to prepping is fire protection. I never see a fire extinguisher or blanket. the risk of fire will be greater in a crisis because you will be tired, stressed, you are using candles and you may never have used an alcohol burner before.
We have multiple different fire extinguishers (yes there are different types) AND fire blankets, plus cat litter to soak up oil/gasoline etc, about 4 sandbags of dirt and sand in the back of my pickup, plus gloves and shovels in addition to water and a good amount of salt. (Plus flashing hazard lights in case it's near a road) We are prepared for this because wildfires happen close by every year.
I think those items are going to be a great currency and trade items for other essentials. But I also agree that are dangerous items to have in an post apocalyptic scenario
@idahoprepper Just be wary, there are 1 and 2lb greens that are not rated for refill. You can still do it, it just has a higher chance of rupture. Most nowadays, iirc, are rated for it
Get a Trifuel Generator (NG/Propane/Gas), preferably an Inverter type. You need to have options. I have two 9KW models so can keep one running 24/7 at all times. Plus get at least 4 annual service kits for them.
I have a duel fuel generator that runs my whole house when the power goes out, but it’s extremely loud! Thanks for tuning into the channel! Glad to have your support!
IF you have big mitts but still want to carry concealed with a Glock, might I suggest the Glock45!? It’s chambered in 9mm, has a G17 lower with the G19 upper. My whole hand fits the handle and it’s still concealable. 😊
Love the video! Might I suggest if we see a potential domestic incident/civil unrest/violence in the streets, political uprising etc. on the horizon, that in addiction to these preps, to focus on home security. Door barricade hooks for 2x4s, plywood for windows, security cameras, motion lights, and maybe some...how do I say this.... freedom seeds? Keep up the great content brother!
True about the Reliance 5 g bottles. A little flimsy but not bad, they fade within a few years in our non-lighted garage, and the spigot plastic gets very brittle in time.
My edc choice is sig p365 9mm with sig red dot and surefire light and my choice for open carry (for farm/land use and hunting and fishing) would be th sig p226 xfive legion chambered in 9mm with sig red dot and surefire light and rear sight. And for rifles I have my do it all ar-15 build and a sig cross 308 bolt action for long range and hunting, a ruger 10/22, and a shotgun mossberg 940 pro field chambered in 12gauge with sig Romeo red dot And many more guns but the ones listed are my must haves! Thanks for reading y’all!😃
I am still working on my bug out kit in my Roam case with wheels. With a 9 year old on the spectrum it’s our last resort. Finances limit the amount of kits possible at this time. So for me it’s my EDC sling bag, 32L GHB (contents vary), Roam case, wife’s go bag, son’s go bag. Another great video Idaho
My EDC handgun is an M17 I absolutely love it and it came with two 21 round mags and a 17 round mag, as for my knife is an openel #7 it's a French cheese knife but out of the box it's super sharp and is great for everything. My openel knife hasn't been sharpened in 3 years and it's still razor sharp.
Get the m&p compact, it's the same thing as the shield, just slightly bigger, 15 round magazines and it has a comfier grip than the g19. It's like a g19 but way prettier and more comfortable to shoot.
Do you have a video on your family’s gear if you have to leave home? What that looks like as a group collective and how you may share the equipment between the group. What you have in place if you get separated, etc.
Hi this is the first time I've ever seen you show but that's okay when there's times you don't get to make one because you know why it gives me time to review your other stuff like for instance winter time I want to know what to do in winter time now before it gets cold in the snow falls I want to know know the best ways for me to Coldwater area to ride a campfire because it's hard to write one cold water while you're out working but keep up the good work and God bless I recommend that you are listeners that do the other stuff you made in review stuff and learn new things😊
If you want a great EDC at a great price point there is a local California company FMK they make an awesome 9mm (under $300 ) that’s not a crap hi point or Glock Had a Glock sold it I purchased the FMK and love it the company is also amazing to work with . The customer service is amazing
Since your weather sucks right now you should run the ecoflow down and check how long it will take to charge just so you understand it's potential in the worst case scenario
My grandfather, and great grandfather for who I was named after, were both Irish house painters.. all 3 of us share the name McKinley! 🇺🇸 🇮🇪 Thank you for watching, glad to have your support!
I'm going to have to build my on carrier, as my CCW (when in the USA) is a SIG 225 first gen. Not many made for it, as they've not been made for over a decade. I just built some 124 hp 9mm for "hunting", as in Canadaland the government hates the thought of someone defending themself

Hey brother great to see you 👍🏻.... Yeah you keep spending my money 😂.... I have purchased the gmrs handheld radios for myself & gotten some cousins to do the same so we can be in touch just in case.... Oh & legally licensed 👍🏻.... Anyway brother thanks for sharing your knowledge take care from down south in Mississippi
Hahaha that’s hilarious! 😆 well it’s good to know you’re prepping, those GMRS radios are great! As far as the map case, I think it actually came with a different pack I bought not to long ago. Hello everybody. I have been storing supplies for a while. I have water. But I just started to look at the city fire hydrant on my property as a potential resource to use. I have multiple purification methods I would use to clean the water. But my question is how long would that water stay pressurized for me. Any city or water workers in the comments?
I don’t think I’d be totally qualified to do a review like that.. fortunately I’ve never had to put them to a true test like that! But, Thanks for watching!
I said an edc video alone, can be a bit boring, and not very long.. so I incorporated it into a more extensive gear review video.. thanks for watching!
Ruger Security 9 might be a good choice for edc firearm. It comes with two 15 rd mags. Ruger makes an extension for 17 rds. It's a tough, dependable pistol.
hey i'm sure you're aware but smith & wesson releases the Shield Plus a few years back which has the dual stack higher capacity magazines. Just in case you wanted to stay on the platform 😄
I actually didn’t know that, but I’ll look into it! Thanks for the tip, I appreciate it! & Thanks for tuning into the channel! Glad to have your support!

Should probably have one of those for normal life 😂

Everyone should stock up on barter and trade items! Coffee, alcohol and tobacco would be priceless!
Probably not worth your life tho.
@@martinj2843 they should think about that because what I have, they will not get!

You can add polycarbonate sheets over your windows, dual purpose, helps keep your windows from being broken and increase your energy efficiency.
Dude you have such a cool workshop I definitely want to build one…one day!
Thanks brother! Hope all is well! Thanks for watching!
