That's amazing I have been curling my hair for 20+s years and I have always started at the bottom and most of the time it looked like 💩 lol, my hair got so damaged I stopped using heat on my hair for years. Now I think I am ready to start using a curling iron now that I know the right way thanks to you! You are my god! Lol 🙏🏻

Make sure you only do this on human hair, a direct heat source can melt synthetics

I see you're letting that metal bar stand outward. Is that used to keep the iron away from the person? I've never used it. Always had it closed.
Thanks!! The metal bar on there is a stand so the iron doesn’t burn the table or surface you set it on when you aren’t holding it

I'm in cosmo school, and when we got our kits, we got a 1/4 marcel, honestly, I hated it. I was like, what is this devil tool. But when i learned how to use it and how pretty the curls are, I reach for my marcel more than anything when a client wants curls.
+Michaela Smith lol! Amen there! They can be really awkward when you first start using them, but once you get used to it, you typically prefer them over anything else! They do produce lovely curls, and for me it's much faster than using a spring loaded iron!

+Kelly Foley yes! 😊 First, congratulations! I like Paul Mitchell's Extra Body Firm Hold hairspray. It is what I call tornado spray lol.

It sure does! Thank you so much! You are so talented!!! Should I apply the spray before or after I curl? Or is it a finishing spray for after it's styled? I plan on curling and pinning it then taking it down the next day...ant tips?
+Kelly Foley apply working spray (which is usually medium to soft hold) before curling. Your finishing spray (which is usually a more firm hold) would go on the hair after it's all finished.
If you plan on pinning it for the next day, you may want to consider pin curls, they lay more flat to the head than just clipping your curls. That way you are less likely to mess up your hair in your sleep.
