I’ve been happily living and teaching in korea for 3 years now. I love it and I save about R16000 to R17000 per month. I’m happily engaged to my American fiancé. Don’t be afraid to take that leap of faith.
what is the procedure? i would love to live in Korea
Pity you don't post much, sis

I’m currently teaching English in China, and I can gladly say this was 1 of the best decisions of my life. The lifestyle I can now afford here, would have taken time in SA. I’m pretty sure acquiring most things would’ve been financed through debt. Seek opportunities outside of SA loves ♥️
Hey love. Can you please guide me. I’d love to apply.
I'm also interested, please guide me through it
Wow🥰 i am interested.please guide a sister
Hi Lauretta I would like to know how do you check whether a school in China is registered or not?
Hello, do you know if I can come with my child?
I am doing my TEFL course with i-to-i and they are amazing. I just applied for South Korea internship program and hopefully I will get the job.
Wow share the link
Hey . I am also considering taking a course with i-to-i in May and this is encouraging.
Don't go to Korea , they will treat u like a dog's , these two African women are not telling u the truth
I'm also giving it a try
Took it and I was done within three weeks
Been teaching English for the past 5 years, I've taught in Spain, China and now I'm in South Korea I have no regrets. I sometimes feel guilty for working a relatively easy job and living an easier life compared to those back home in SA. But then again I can't even see myself working any other job...💃💃
I envy you sooo bad.
May I ask…are you South African? And if yes, how did you go about getting to Spain?
Shout out to the ladies working abroad following their dreams and living their best lives. Working towards financial independence. Sbahle is frikken pretty.

I lived in Bangkok, Thailand 🇹🇭 for 4 years teaching English and studying as well.I graduated last year and decided to come back home for a year due to Covid but planning to go to back again this time want to teach in China but is life changing experience for sure!
The English language is actually quite important. Greetings from Mozambique.
Rachel can I have your social media handles
Hi.Rachel,I am Madise Mashegoane I want to come teach English there.Let me know what I can do.
I'm surprised that they didn't speak about the low crime rate,my cousin who was in South Korea used to go out by herself at 4am to meet up with friends & would speak about how people leave their iPhones to go to the loo in restaurants, she is also making arrangements to go back.
It is so true hey. Here in Taiwan if you lose something, or forget it on a bike, you will find it. I have seen laptops. Kodwa the other day at a beach party someone snatched my fruits which we were not allowed to bring inside, kodwa ke there were lots of Africans. I also go out at 4.A.M to go and buy ice cream when I am too hot. Ladies walk by themselves at 5 A.M from clubs. It is chilled shem. You get used to the stares.
I love how the ladies explained that working abroad can give you so much financial freedom. You get to work, save and travel the world. Hopefully the Chinese borders will open soon so that those seeking for job opportunities here in China can come and teach here.

I am absolutely loving the working abroad segments that you guys having been doing. You are giving hope to so many of us who have been wanting to work and travel abroad, so thanking you for giving us the hope that it is possible!!!😍😍😍
One thing about living in a foreign country, you have to grow a thick skin, because people will speak their language and laugh while pointing at you, people will cover their nose, people will pull your natural hair and people will stare shem.
you're definitely right about that babe. I started in China in 2019 and I was very unhappy there. I then decided to move to the Middle East, I'm much happier this side but doing this requires one to be very thick skinned considering the fact that you're leaving everything you know and what you're used to, to start a new life. There's a lot of adjustments to make regarding the culture. Home sickness kicks after some time, especially when there were travel restrictions. There's a to consider but this is a great opportunity especially for the unemployed graduates at home. Ow and the salaries are higher in the The Middle East as well.

Great episode! I watched the au pairing and cruise ship episodes last week and I remember thinking, “ they should do one about teaching abroad!” I’m currently living and teaching in South Korea as well. It’s, honestly, been one of the best experiences of my life.
With so much unemployment in SA, I definitely urge graduates to look into different avenues for employment; such as those that have been highlighted on the show in the past couple of weeks. Of course, like the ladies mentioned, do your research! I can’t stress this enough. It’s not all frills and thrills, but it’s definitely such an eye-opening and enriching experience to travel and live abroad (especially in homogeneous countries like China and South Korea).
Awesome 👌. Enjoy yourself and God bless you. Africa is a disorder now. Greetings from Mozambique 🇲🇿. I wish I could leave Mozambique too in search of better life

One of my friends from varsity is currently teaching English in China, she has been there since 2017 and it really seems like the best decision ever. I am honestly considering it
It's okay to want more! I love how you both said you wanted to do more, grow, and be fulfilled with what you do.
With the high unemployment rate in South African, this seems like an opportunity for many unemployed graduates
When you compare it to South Africa, China pays well. However, when you compare it to other markets, it's actually cheap labor and a raw deal. I speak as a seasoned expatriate teacher with experience in the Gulf (Middle East) South East Asia and Central Asia. In all those countries, my rent, education allowance for dependence, transport to work or allowance, medical aid, electricity and water were paid for and I a take home higher than entrance level doctors in SA. Although the difference is usually that China will generally hire those with other degrees other than teaching and under pay them while I worked at international schools that only hired qualified teachers. I would advice would be teachers to get their PGCE if they don't have a B.Ed and apply to countries like Qatar, UAE, Oman, Kuwait and Brunei in South East Asia over China.
The quality of life is higher in those countries as well, as opposed to China. Most westerners won't even recieve the kind of Hukou that would allow them to see the real china. And it's better off to consider Taiwan if someone truly wants to experience Chinese culture.
@@David_Lo_Pan Taiwan is great and the people are friendly. I've been here for 3 years now.
@@nomvelongubane1027 hey babes, where in Taiwan are you? im also here.

@@David_Lo_Pan Yes absolutely the quality of life is better. I just wanted to focus on the money aspect but definitely. I have a family member in China and many former colleagues who've also worked there, nothing to glorify.
Although it can serve a great purpose of taking one out of unemployment in SA.
Even opportunities for nurses abroad are very rewarding.

Hi Lebo
Thank you for sharing this content and showing us that there’s endless opportunities. Should you wish to talk about hospitality in the Middle East, I would love to put in my 2cents. Been here for over 2 years now.
Please tell us more about it in general 💚🙏 what qualification did u need to get into that industry.
@@khethukuthulasibiya154 I would speak about myself, I have no complete qualifications and most of the people here do not have either. You must be good in English and have experience in hospitality/costumer service. Most companies here will give you a return ticket home once a year or once in 2 years, accommodation, meals at work, medical aid and transportation this is all free. As a junior you would share the room but as you grow you get your own room or apartment if In supervisor or management position.
No tax. You get your money as is. If you are smart, you will save most of it coz you are already getting basic needs.
Basic will be about 9k (depending of which country you land in - I’m in Bahrain 🇧🇭) plus tips and commission which varies month to month depending on how the business is. You can get up to 15k a month excluding tips - for most junior positions.
This is all in restaurants.
I hope that covers your question, let me know if you want more elaboration. 💕
