Aybo this is the message I needed to hear. I just received an email for being excluded now have to appeal and I was feeling very down like I'm at end my career but seeing your message has given me hope thank you

Nomzamo is so relatable. I also grew up an over-achiever, the only black student at the top of my class. Independent child - I was so disciplined, my parents rarely pushed me to complete tasks. Then varsity came and that’s where I learnt that failure is something to be embraced - it’s a learning curve. And to be honest, failure is fun😂 especially for people who like being challenged. The key is to always keep trying Love you Nomzamo!!!🤩
I asked to take a picture with her at SAFW in 2015. I was still in design schooL- insecure AF. She agreed and I was just so happy. ❤❤ 😃 I'm turning 30 next year, and I feel like a failure. Broke, lost and all. I'm in therapy. I take anti-depressants. I have a Masters degree and I feel like why? Because nje aaii* deep sigh* Turning 30 in 3 months, I'm chasing my childhood dream in 2024. I remember Nomzamo from Stats at UCT. She always used to sit at the back and she was just as beautiful as she is now. Her comeback story has been one of the most awe-inspiring things to watch.
I can relate when she says "I don't tell my friends when I have achieve something". I always feel like if I can achieve it anyone can achieve it. And I just want validation from my mom more than any person.
One thing about failure it can be a blessing when you have love and support around you but when you have nothing and literally no one damn it’s the hardest thing ever one can go through.
Just had a flashback of breaking down at Uni after failing my first ever economics test at Uni, I did not break down because I failed. I broke down because I thought of everyone back home. So relatable.
Nomzamo Mbatha is such an inspiration especially for a 17 year old like me. Man, she makes me want to dream big. I love you so much, and I want to thank you for always showing us that we can achieve everything we put our minds into❤️
Is so painful how someone's words can changer the course of your life😢We internalize words people say to us,and all of a sudden we become reserved and insecure and crawl back to ur shell😢❤But we are healing one step and the time ❤
Yhuuuuu, I can totally relate. From being a high achiever my entire school life to failing while at UCT🙌🏾🙌🏾. UCT humbled me shem. Eventhough I graduated a year later than those I started with, I'm glad I made out with a degree at least. "failure is a pivot, I felt that" 😢
I loooooove…. Nomzamo. I live in the USA, I discovered her when she spoke and sang at mom Winnie Mandela’s funeral. Keep reaching for the stars young lady, you have great and relatable disposition❤

I am not yet in varsity and I think I really needed to hear sis Nomzamo talk about failure in this way.I feel more prepared and I now understand that there are gonna be some ups and downs in life but like she said "its just a pivot" 😂❤it's crazy how much of an influence one can have on other people lives by just being themselves and I just want to say that you are Really appreciated and you set an awesome example to many young(and old) people out there..me included, and I absolutely love and adore you for that. And SHAKA ILEMBE?? Sis yall ATE ATE!!! I've always been very curious about the history of South Africa and Africa as a whole because, in seSotho we say "ha o sa tsebe mo otswang teng okekebe wa tseba mo oyang teng". When I was younger my father told me the story of uShaka Zulu and seeing it come to life like this is truly amazinggg, especially it being portrayed by our current role models and people we see on TV on a daily basis!! that just adds the cherry on top😂thank you so so much for everything you do. It is highly appreciated❤Bayede dawg!!🙌🤣

True and unfortunately black families are commonly known to make you feel like nothing when you experience failure
Very true
I still feel like a 5 yr old in a 33 yr old body
