    Use the resolution gate instead of the film gate. The film gate will show the maximum renderable area and only if the aspect ratios of the film back and render resolution are the same, the film gate will show you what will be in the render. The resolution gate will always show you what's in the render.
    The f-stop setting is similar to the effect in real cameras the moment you model in the correct size (centimeter by default in Maya).

    thanks for the info. Now I'm even more hungrier for other camera options (especially those last two camera's you said as to be advanced one's). [I suppose aim should work as target, right ?] I'm waiting for that video. Thanks

    Hello can you help me I've checked the DOF checklist and there are no changes at render time. Pleasee..

    • @MHTutorials3D
      @MHTutorials3D  3 роки тому

      Did you measure the distance from the camera to the object and set the DOF values accordingly ?

    • @-expirius-5990
      @-expirius-5990 3 роки тому

      You should control DOF from "Arnold" tab in your camera settings. It's located in attribute editor. If you turn on "Enable DOF" and change settings "Focus Distance" and "Aperture size" in this tab you will get a result at render.

    So, when I click on the IPR, it automatically changes the lights. It goes dark. Sky dome is off but area light remains on. Any suggestions to fix this?

    I'm using maya 2020.1. Why it doesn't show the DOF in the final render (but it shows in the panel)? is it a problem from this verison or I miss enable/disable something or check something?

    hello Mike... I watch your every video on maya and 3d modelling.... I wanted to ask you a question that does good sketching matters in 3d modelling? As I completed my high school and now I am applying for animation colleges in Canada and the portfolio requirements for almost every of them is good sketching... I am average in sketching... So what should I do????

      LIFE DRAWING IS KEY, PRACTICE THAT AND YOU WILL BE FINE. ALSO STORYBOARDS ITS HELPFULL SO LEARN SOLID FORM AND PERSPECTIVE. ITS NOT ABOUT HOW APPEALING THE DRAWING IS BUT HOW WELL IT READS AND IS IT EASY TO UNDERSTAND? IM A 3RD YEAR 3D ANIMATION STUDENT.
