    The only thing I would add is a post-it tab to the penny sleeve as this makes it easier for the buyer to pull the card(s) out

    You give sound advice & I do similar things tbh. What I use:
    1. sideloader penny sleeve liner (I buy 1,000 from UltraPro when I can at a higher price, or 10,000+ on other vendors bc cheaper but I rarely see them in stock, so I buy more so I can avoid inconveniences)
    2. penny sleeve (I buy 800 from UltraPro or 8,000 from other vendors for the same reasons as sleeve liners)
    3. top loader (when sending to a fren or family (& soon to vendors))/card saver (send to CGC univ. grades, TGA co., or BGC & hope I get a 9+ grade)
    4. team bag
    5. cardboard protective panel (factory- or hand-cut)
    6. 6×10 uline bubble lined envelope (for vendor, fren & family)/6×6×2 or 9×9×2 or 9×9×4 depending on what I am sending & how much space is needed.
    7. Optional handcut cardboard separators
    Pay insurance & use priority shipping etc., then send that puppy out.

    Just sold my first Pokémon card and this helped IMMENSELY. I absolutely already had a bag of hand-cut cardboard squares 🤣. You also totally saved me on the shipping cost!! I was stressing most about how and where to ship the darn thing let alone the packaging, so this sped up the process so much! Thanks so much 🥹

    Sometimes graded card bags are cheaper than team bags, simply due to the hype buys, but they work exactly the same and are almost the same dimensions.

    So if I’m shipping 3-5 cards I’ll put them in the card saver to save weight. The lop loaders weigh so much more when it comes to the under 1oz per stamp rule. So I learned with singles or even 2 cards top loaders are fine. You can do 3 cards in card savers and still stay right under 1oz for 1 stamp.

    • @DrApplesauceTwo
      @DrApplesauceTwo  Рік тому +1

      True.
      Card savers offer less protection( they’re less stiff ) than a top loader though. So take that and the value of what your shipping into consideration.

      No you can’t put a stamp on a 6x10 it’s too big. The way I showed it in the video, and using pirateship.com and printing your own label, you can usually ship anything up to 10 or more cards for around $5 as long as it’s shipping in the US

    Oof I’ve sold and sent out like 10 cards in toploads in an envelope 😱…
    Also, still have to wait in line just to deliver my mail (don’t trust slipping it in the box or leaving it wherever they ask me) plus I like to know that they actually received it and I got the receipt in hand to show any buyers if anything happened that it was hand delivered to the people and after that it’s their responsibility, doesn’t mean I won’t help out still

    Thank you for this video @Dr. Applesauce Two - this is exactly what I was looking for in regards to supplies and the process for standard cards. Question for you for full transparency: If someone purchases cards from you and you aren't giving it away as a gift, is there a general rule you go buy to ensure you aren't losing money with the supplies when you charge for shipping?
    If I understand correctly, it looks like it is roughly $1 per card when using the top loader/sleeve/yellow envelope + whatever the price would be for weight of the package and location it's going to? Then you factor in cost if it's paid through PP, etc?
    I hope this question makes sense - I want to make sure I am not overcharging someone or losing money by not factoring in the supplies correctly.

The label from eBay had tracking but my wife put it in the outgoing mail from her office... then no update for like 10 days and the buying initiated a refund from eBay. If I bring it to the post office and wait in line and ship it does the status get updated immediately? My problem was it kept showing "label generated" or something like that... no record of USPS ever receiving it, then one day it just said "delivered".

    • @DrApplesauceTwo

      Price per card? You can’t really quantify that. I can ship a 5oz bubble envelope with multiple ( 5+ ) top loaded cards in it for $5 and that includes shipping and materials.

    I buy sports cards and they come in transparent cases. I want to sell some cards and use the cases to keep them protected during shipping however anytime I put the cards in sleeves and go to put them in the cases they don't fit. Should I take the sleeve off to make them fit or just throw out all the packaging I have saved?

    • @DrApplesauceTwo
      @DrApplesauceTwo  Рік тому

      Honestly, I would ditch the cases and dot he setup like I mentioned here. I dont know much about the transparent cases on sports cards, but I assume its not good enough by itself to throw them in a bubble mailer like this and then ship safely?

    • @Rachel0400
      @Rachel0400 Рік тому

      @@DrApplesauceTwo oh I kept the packaging they came in from the company it consists of a plastic transparent case (some of them have a foam rectangle in them for cushioning), a cardboard foldy box thing that the case gets put into which is wrapped in bubble wrap and then put into the envelope

    Great video for shipping singles! I'm going to be mailing out about 5 of the Trick or Trade Halloween Booster Packs and am wondering if sending them out via bubble mailer + cardboard backing/structure will be something I can ship for under $4. :)

    • @DrApplesauceTwo
      @DrApplesauceTwo  Рік тому +1

      It’s typically en estimate based off what value of the cards is. I know $5 covers shipping of anything like this, and if it’s extra valuable and needs insurance or a box I know $10 usually covers that. If it’s someone I know personally I’ll show them the exact shipping cost.
