- In this step by step tutorial I will show you how to build and rig a castle drawbridge door in Blender. Creating the chain of the drawbridge, and make both the chain and pulley move along when we rotate the door.

Love it thank you. 11:30 this twist error looks natural to me :), maybe it can be part of rig with simple deform or extra twist control rig.

15.51 you can simply choose parent and keep Transform, they won't recalculate the origin of the object -> no more shifting
i really like prop rigging. there is something about the unique problems you will encounter every time that makes it exciting. Also do you need to hook all the curve points to pose bones? isnt hooking only the 'bone-01' enough?
No, but it seems you can hool all the pulley controller point to one single bone
One bit though looks off. Chain should wind onto pully, but instead it threading on like a snake. To make it more realistic the curve itself has to be deformed rather than chain sliding on the curve.

could you please make a course about everything about VFX
does the chaing animation get baked for exporting?
How can I bake this animation to bring it to UE4? Seems like modifiers are not recognized by blender's animation baker.
I assume this can't be exported to a game engine since it makes use of the curve modifier.
You can use a spline Ik
the lesson is very valuable, but it is a pity that the chain will not work in unity
