I made a crosscut jig to get the most out of it. This is multifunction crosscut jig can use for circular saw, jigsaw, router and trim router. It's super handy to have in the shop. I think this is the best one so far.

Well executed jig. A couple of tips, when you cut a slot in material as plywood with the router it can be useful to first only score the surface with a very low depth of cut, then repeat the cut at full depth. When you check for square you have to butt the short and tick side of the combination square against the piece and then slide it until the thin part have contact with it, but avoiding to apply any pressure on that thin blade, thing that you don't seem to do properly. To apply pressure on that part can give false results as the light that reveals an error can be split between the 2 parts of the combination square or even be all in the thick part, that being shorter and thicker make less easy to spot discrepancies from a perfect result, assuming that the combination square is precise, thing that is usually true for the high end ones only, while I have still to see a cheap one that comes really square out of the factory.
So for people that uses the cheap ones without tweaking them to be precise (there are videos online about it) I suggest to use some other kind of square (I don't assume that yours is cheap and not precise, this is mainly for who takes inspiration from your video), and the method of checking, applying pressure only on the short tick part of the square is true for all and every time you want a precise result, should become an habit for every woodworker (it is also useful to butt that part against the most straight and better refined of the 2 surfaces to avoid that the piece you check introduces discrepancies). Ciao from Italy.

Nice job. Couple things, though: First, the steel channel bars you used will have to be absolutely perfectly straight. It has been my experience that they can sometimes deviate from straight. Second, I think it would’ve been best if you had shown that in order to line up those steel bars, you have to put your cutting tool at both ends and adjust the width of the bars so that the bars line up perfectly at both ends, otherwise you may get pinching of the tool when you move it from one end to the other.

    Looks great.
I personally don’t trust epoxy resin glue to hold metals. Polyurethane mastic (as used on car body panels) is a better option. It can be messy so protect the panel front surface with masking tape. You could also use countersunk M6 socket head screws to screw the tracks into place.
The same glue would also bond the box and L sections section.

Aluminium box section is more precision made than steel. Maybe that would be a better option. You would need tube or resin insets at the ends so the box is not crushed by the hold-down nuts.

Hi great video and detailed instructions, I am currently in the process of manufacturing one for myself. Two questions please, you do not mention the track end stops or their manufacture in your video and secondly do you use a sacrificial layer under the boards you cut to avoid cutting into the base board? Thank you again for your series of professional videos for DIY tools.
