I tried a rhubarb root infused olive oil earlier this year and absolutely loved it. I also ordered alkanet root for an infusion but haven’t used it yet.
I've been binge-watching your videos and you're an amazing soap maker. Also wherever you got that intro music for your videos, that is the best out of all the channels I watch. It starts wonderful and then crescendos at the end of it, where I never want to fast forward through it. Hoping to make my first batch of cold process soap this month...fingers crossed!
I have tweezers everywhere, because middle age issues 😆 That red is STUNNING and I'm glad to see. I have rhubarb infusing in oil right now, because I too am lazy and forgot about it. Now I need madder root.
Some day I’d love to see you do a full size production batch of swirled soap, not just a little 10 bar loaf. I seriously cannot wrap my head around such things.
Well, I don’t think I’ve ever shown an actual full size production of anything because it’s impossible to get it all in one shot, but I do need to make full runs of a bunch of my staple soaps this next week. I *think* the most I can get in frame is 50 lbs worth of soap. I’ll see what I can do. 😂
I love my Indian madder...not least because it is cheaply sold as manjistha powder at Indian spice shops 😉 Rhubarb root has been harder for me to source but last weekend I found a gazillion yellow dock plants growing wild on campus 🍾 so while I await the Rhubarb pink will have to be my jam 🤣 Thank you so much for all your videos, I do appreciate it so much. One day when the Rand/Dollar exchange rate improves I will subscribe properly in the hope that you will never stop. 🙏🙏🙏🙏 okay maybe not never, you know what I mean.
Hi! Thank you for all you share. I am very curious what essential oils you used since there is no apple essential oil to my knowledge but would love to know if you know what to combine to resemble an apple scent.
Boy that’s a gorgeous red!! 😍😍 okay so apple essential oil? Where does one acquire that? Apple eo’s for me smell amazing out of the bottle but tend to just be funky in candles and eh in soap. Or they are great but give me a migraine.
Hey! For essential oil blends, because so many fun scents aren’t available in essential oils, I get mad scientist and blend to create the illusion of the scent that I’m going for. Focusing on the top, mid, base notes of like, for example, what an apple pie would smell like, or an orchard in the crisp fall air, evoking those memories so the mind of the end user fills in the blanks. If that makes sense.
Soap nuts are actually berries with a high level of saponin in the shells/outer skin. It can increase the bubble of a soap and is particularly beneficial in hard water.
Seriously why are they all different colors? 😅 IYKYK

Love the new hairdo!
Way to go, Scout!
Thanks for another fab recipe. I'll be trying this out this week, as I'm running low on my mechanic soap.
I love this! I'm lazy too!!! hahaha love it
I haven't been here for like a long minute... Missed you!!! Your presence in my world is such a comfort, even if it's just a log of soap.
Hey! Nice to see you, hope you’ve been doing awesome. I’m always here whenever you find your way back. 💜

@@malkahabuloffplantssitesan156 she did one after I commented! Look for the Okapi soap!
What a beautiful color 🎉
Hahaha on the MM yellow, it does morph back! I use it as a parlor trick.
I love you! Thank you ! 😊
Very beautiful!

@@MrsSoapAndClay it does and that’s brilliant. Can we buy this bar or is that for a wholesale order?
@budgetingwithamber7446 it’s a wholesale order but she *might* have some left over at www.adropintheoceanshop.com
@@MrsSoapAndClay ordered! thank you
Nice soap. Have you try cacao powder? It work very well and it is cheap too!
I’ve used it for beautiful browns!
Ohhh now I need to try mixing the rhubarb and madder root with no infusion lol. Infusion never seems to work for me lol ❤💜
Sometimes the lazy way is the best way. ;)
💯 Lol
"I stole a pair of tweezers from my mother when I was 14. I can't find them and it's stressful.." Oh, the irony!
The real kicker will come when I find out that one of the kids stole them from me. 😂
What are soap nuts?

I have tweezers EVERYWHERE
(Hairstylist) you can't have enough!!
