I may not always agree with you, but I do respect you and your honesty. There are a lot of fake UA-cam channels reviewing TVs. How many of them do you ever see put a 4K blueberry on and talk about the TVs maximum capabilities. They all put on streaming services with subpar image and sound lin comparison to a standard Blu-ray. This is a specially annoying to me if I was interested in purchasing a TV that cost a couple of thousand dollars if I’m just gonna stream I’ll buy a black Friday TV from Best Buy’s for 100 bucks and get the same picture and sound quality. Not that I’m going to buy a new TV anytime soon. I just purchased a Sony X90L and I think it’s amazing but I still like to watch TV reviews.
I have a S90D & one thing quantum rarely speaks about is motion & processing & upscaling, LG & Sony are simply better at these things, most tvs are bright these days & color is subjective that being said all these TVs are great & trade blows whether thats QDoled or Woled

I HAVE seen QN85D. It looks Great. At time in Bestbuy they had S95C above QN95D i was like “Meh”. Then taking a close look when I walk closer, it looked good. Knowing in store they r not calibrated. WOLEd is dated blue tinted. Just weird.
The interest is there, be the guy to shine a light on this hidden gem of a TV. I think you're going to really dig the new HDR remastering setting. I typically stay far away from settings like this but it is actually really damn good. It converts SDR content into HDR content that looks better than real HDR (HDR typically sucks). This is a reimagined updated Q8FN, imagine if you had slept on that TV....
I did it one month ago. I sold my c1 to a friend and got a s90d. Lg c1 is fantastic, but s90d is a few levels up. The colors are fantastic. If you can trade do it.
Glad to see rtings telling the truth! As you’re always saying, if more people told the truth, then we might actually see some real change in the industry for the better! As you know, I’ve been telling anybody that would listen in almost every comment how good the S90D is with your settings and how it literally is the best purchase I’ve ever made in my entire life! Subscribed. Not just because you were right (I purchased an s95c over an LG oled at half the price and am VERY happy with it), but also because I like the overall message you were trying to convey in this video.
There are benefits, and disadvantages to both QD-OLED, and W-OLED. At the end of the day, unless you are comparing them side by side, the possibility is that you won't even notice a difference, at least most people wont.
I own a 1440p QD oled monitor and yes the colors are so damn good that its nuts regardless of how less bright it is compared to other LCD monitors and oled TV's. Brightness isn't everything not to mention some peoples eyes can't handle all that brightness. I usually don't like the birghtness to be too high but my room is already pretty dark, so it's all about preference when it comes to brightness.
I bought the G4 for 3,400 euros because the 95D costs 4,900 euros here in Sweden. My reasons were the price, the processor in the G4, which gives me that 3D pop HDR effect that some people talk about, and the better tone mapping and brightness on the G4. Did I make a mistake buying it? Should I return it and pay the extra 1,500 euros for the additional color ?
I got the LG G4 65" wholesale no tax for $3000 CAD. So I'm happy with the price I paid for it. That thing was selling for $4000 plus tax at the time which I would never pay. The brightness is too bright for me. Samsung doesn't have Dolby Vision which is important for some.

This is a confusing video. Rtings is not talking about the LG G4. They are talking about the LG C4 and B4. But you are interchanging the G4 and C4 as if they are the same. I won't be getting an LG, so I don't really care, just clarifying what Rtings is actually saying.

the VERY FIRST LG OLED is the exact same picture quality in color to the current LG OLED. i always saw the LG red to be Blood-Orange. LG May Have Hade The First Oled but, LG never improved on the color, and other crap. LG settings hardly makes a difference. The one thing i do perfer on lg is the media player. for music i like better
How would you compare the s90d and g3 if price is within 100 dollars? Currently in the market for a TV myself, for console and PC gaming. Indecisive between a 55" S95C, and a 55" S90D. Curious of suggestions. Is the one connect issue "that" bad? Namely, is every S95C affected by this? Is the picture quality between the S95C and S90D, that noticeable? Nobody ever said the LG OLEDs are terrible. They are still class OLEDs but for the same price as qdoled? Samsungs panels have just more potential. Sure there are things LG does better but thats not the panel, maybe the OS, maybe built quality, switching inputs or not using a one-connect when using the tv for pc gaming (this sucks). But most of the money goes into the panel so..yeah C4 over C1 is just too little to justify high prices for 2021-2022ish quality. I do think MLA is an upgrade over it, but its still limited by when compared to qdoled. More like WOLED with a plus in brigthness, but no qdoled. Everything qdoled does better than woled, applies more or less to the same extend to woled mla since it doesnt improve woled in the other areas next to brigthness that it lacks compared to qdoled. Not ecen talking about colour brightness/volume. Just pure brigthness (so mostly white) People should stop being offended by you pointing out objectively the differences. Hey Quantum, I noticed this as well watching the Rtings reviews after watching your video on the S90D. Glad you caught it as well. Question: I have an option between a Sony A95L 65 inch open box (good) condition for $2,086 at Best Buy or I can get a brand new S90D 77 inch for $2,500. My only concern on the S90D is upscaling vs the Sony of old shows and especially sports as I still watch a lot of old sitcoms and watch hockey/football every week. Obviously a new 77 inch QD OLED for $2,500 is intriguing. Best Buy plugged in the 65 inch A95L for me and it looks really good. the reason it’s $1,300 off is there are scratches on the screen in particular areas but you can’t notice them when the tv is turned on and isn’t extremely noticeable even when the tv is off unless you stand close. Any advice on what would be the better option?
Just my opinion.. go with the 77” S90D!! First the size makes up for anything the A95L can do. And Samsung processing is very good! Just keep I mind, no DTS SUPPORT or Dolby vision. Also, 77”S90D is on sale now and can be found for around $2200! Order direct from Samsung AAA or military discount will beat anyone else’s pricing! (If ya can) 🎉
Absolutley do the 75”. I have seen all of them in store the 77” is much better in over all visual than anything “ smaller 65” A95L is amazing tho, but its like compact Sedan vs 6 Seater SUV situation. No joke the 77” Samsung r gorgeous (i have seen 77” S90C , S90D, S95D, 85” X93L, 83” G3 etc” . The 77” so much more enjoyable over all than 65” A95L n u will stil have left over money for 5 yr waranty. :). Also take a look at 75” U8K , U8N -ADS pro. Or 75” U9N. They r EVEN GLOSSIER than A95L G3 A80L. I HAVE seen them side by side ( NOT bestbuy) with 77” 75” S95D A95L G3 over U8K 75”, C3 , A80L. Once tweaked those U8k 75” (I was looking for u8n 75”), looked MORE (bright but CASTED by Dense Color Volume higher than S95C) Glossy Black Vibrant wet paint. Its NEXT level EYE visual dopamine rush. 😊😅
Samsung tvs are garbage. They don't last . Been through 3 in 4 years. They go dark ,lg is on another level. I've had an lg for ten years now, abd it still looks good. Unlike my samsung tvs that don't last. I'd rather pay a little more than to buy a new tv every 2 years.

I am considering the Samsung tv for its quality. My only concern is the idea that the s90d does not support dts pass through. Is there a workaround for this? Such as having a soundbar or a receiver?
@santosduran9183 if you got DTS content, this is most likely on blu ray or shield, so just plug the device direct to the AV receiver and you're good. This is a good option in general as tv pass-through causes out of synch dialogue

Hello I am tv enthusiast few years and I always wanted true and honest reviews of tvs that’s why I always trusted Vincent teoh from hdtv but now I have seen few reviews from you and you say complete opposite of lg tvs .. do you really think that someone like Vincent is not telling truth and his reviews are fake ? I'm considering S95D 65 inch or S90D 77 inch when It drops to $1999 - 2299. I like the S95D atm with that extra brightness and one connect box/better build. I truly prefer 77 inches though over 65 but S95D 77 inch Is way more than I wanna spend on any tv.

Hdtv test still recommends c3 over s90d. You want natural colors when you watch game of thrones or older films. Overblown colors DOES NOT WORK FOR EVERY PEICE OF CONTENT.
Did you know that you can Lower the colors on S90D plus use Auto for the color Space to get a reference accurate look in Filmmaker mode ;) it's not that difficult dude.

Curious of suggestions. Is the one connect issue "that" bad? Namely, is every S95C affected by this? Is the picture quality between the S95C and S90D, that noticeable?

Just a question. Was the comparison between the LG C4 and LG B4 on RTings? Where you talking about the LG G4? That's a different model or is it the same as the LG C4.
Nobody ever said the LG OLEDs are terrible. They are still class OLEDs but for the same price as qdoled? Samsungs panels have just more potential. Sure there are things LG does better but thats not the panel, maybe the OS, maybe built quality, switching inputs or not using a one-connect when using the tv for pc gaming (this sucks). But most of the money goes into the panel so..yeah C4 over C1 is just too little to justify high prices for 2021-2022ish quality. I do think MLA is an upgrade over it, but its still limited by when compared to qdoled. More like WOLED with a plus in brigthness, but no qdoled. Everything qdoled does better than woled, applies more or less to the same extend to woled mla since it doesnt improve woled in the other areas next to brigthness that it lacks compared to qdoled. Not ecen talking about colour brightness/volume. Just pure brigthness (so mostly white)

Hey Quantum, I noticed this as well watching the Rtings reviews after watching your video on the S90D. Glad you caught it as well. Question: I have an option between a Sony A95L 65 inch open box (good) condition for $2,086 at Best Buy or I can get a brand new S90D 77 inch for $2,500. My only concern on the S90D is upscaling vs the Sony of old shows and especially sports as I still watch a lot of old sitcoms and watch hockey/football every week. Obviously a new 77 inch QD OLED for $2,500 is intriguing. Best Buy plugged in the 65 inch A95L for me and it looks really good. the reason it’s $1,300 off is there are scratches on the screen in particular areas but you can’t notice them when the tv is turned on and isn’t extremely noticeable even when the tv is off unless you stand close. Any advice on what would be the better option?
Just my opinion.. go with the 77” S90D!! First the size makes up for anything the A95L can do. And Samsung processing is very good! Just keep I mind, no DTS SUPPORT or Dolby vision. Also, 77”S90D is on sale now and can be found for around $2200! Order direct from Samsung AAA or military discount will beat anyone else’s pricing! (If ya can) 🎉
Absolutley do the 75”. I have seen all of them in store the 77” is much better in over all visual than anything “ smaller 65” A95L is amazing tho, but its like compact Sedan vs 6 Seater SUV situation. No joke the 77” Samsung r gorgeous (i have seen 77” S90C , S90D, S95D, 85” X93L, 83” G3 etc” . The 77” so much more enjoyable over all than 65” A95L n u will stil have left over money for 5 yr waranty. :).
Also take a look at 75” U8K , U8N -ADS pro. Or 75” U9N. They r EVEN GLOSSIER than A95L G3 A80L. I HAVE seen them side by side ( NOT bestbuy) with 77” 75” S95D A95L G3 over U8K 75”, C3 , A80L. Once tweaked those U8k 75” (I was looking for u8n 75”), looked MORE (bright but CASTED by Dense Color Volume higher than S95C) Glossy Black Vibrant wet paint. Its NEXT level EYE visual dopamine rush. 😊😅
Samsung tvs are garbage. They don't last . Been through 3 in 4 years. They go dark ,lg is on another level.
I've had an lg for ten years now, abd it still looks good.

I am considering the Samsung tv for its quality. My only concern is the idea that the s90d does not support dts pass through. Is there a workaround for this? Such as having a soundbar or a receiver?
@santosduran9183 if you got DTS content, this is most likely on blu ray or shield, so just plug the device direct to the AV receiver and you're good. This is a good option in general as tv pass-through causes out of synch dialogue

Hello I am tv enthusiast few years and I always wanted true and honest reviews of tvs that’s why I always trusted Vincent teoh from hdtv but now I have seen few reviews from you and you say complete opposite of lg tvs .. do you really think that someone like Vincent is not telling truth and his reviews are fake ? I'm considering S95D 65 inch or S90D 77 inch when It drops to $1999 - 2299. I like the S95D atm with that extra brightness and one connect box/better build. I truly prefer 77 inches though over 65 but S95D 77 inch Is way more than I wanna spend on any tv.

With all due respect Yet the raised blacks issue regarding qd oleds is not mentioned in your analysis because you keep reviewing in complete dark environment.
I've never seen raised black on any QD-OLED besides the s95d which I mentioned. Otherwise there is no such issue. Black levels remain inky.

Where the best place to get tv's
Hdtv test still recommends c3 over s90d. You want natural colors when you watch game of thrones or older films. Overblown colors DOES NOT WORK FOR EVERY PEICE OF CONTENT.
Did you know that you can Lower the colors on S90D plus use Auto for the color Space to get a reference accurate look in Filmmaker mode ;) it's not that difficult dude.
