    i used red angel on a 96 chevy s-10 that would lose freon after a week... worked great, blew cold air all the time till i sold the truck......which was like 3 years later.

    I use the bottle version instead of the pressurized can ... I do all types of hvac work and I like to add a stop leak to any system even if it doesn't have a leak so it has that added level of protection if something were to go wrong or the valve core at the fill port loses it's ability to seal properly
    This is a great product that can be used in refrigerators and walk-in coolers as well as long as they use r134a
    With r22 and r410a systems I use a different brand of stop leak to give that added level of protection
    Some people view a stop leak as a temporary or inadequate method of repair and I for the most part agree ... but it works

    If you follow directions it works. Where is the leak on your truck? You should use the real gauges to be more accurate

      Don't waste your money. I can already tell it's not holding a charge. This video was done a couple weeks ago. I'm just hoping this crap didn't damage my system.

      Cool thanks for the info. I was looking for a quick fix for my wifes car same issue as your truck. Guess I will have to take it in after all well its better than finding out the hard way. I sure hope it does not damage your A/C but I feel like it would have already however hard to say.

      I didn't notice that you put refrigerant in after the Red Angel leak repair. Did you skip that step? Or just assume that's the next step? The first instruction is to deplete and exhaust any remaining refrigerant from the system. Did you do that? And how important is that for the effectiveness? If you are not convinced it's a good product, is there another better one you recommend...
      Thanks so much! Great videos!

    best way is to find the leak and replace gasket or line.

    many ac repair shops hate the ac leak glue. Once they vacuum the system, the glue usually messes up their vacume pump, then they have to send it out for repairs, your stop leak costs Mechanic shops thousands.

      If there is refrigerant and or oil getting in the vacuum pump, they are doing it wrong.

    I am told that I have a leak in the front seal... do you reckon this stuff could help my cause? If you charge the system, a week later, it needs it again. I'm told a new AC is $1000.00

      No! Does not work on compressor leaks. Evaporators, condensers and dryer connections ect.

      I did an update video on it. Basically, the leak was not as great as last year. Still there, but smaller.

  • @BG-su6gx
    @BG-su6gx 3 роки тому +2

    Will this work for leaking evaporator??

    • @LynxStarAuto
      @LynxStarAuto 2 роки тому

      Depends on the size of the leak. They have you do a vacuum decay test to categorize the size of the leak. If it's something small to moderate it will work. Large leaks you are SOL.

  • @timheasman2984
    @timheasman2984 5 років тому +1

    Joey. Why weren’t you able to show us you using your gauges to check the initial pressure in your ac system?

  • @wojciechzgodowski
    @wojciechzgodowski 6 років тому +5

    be careful with stop leak solutions, if it creates a blockage of the condenser or evaporator, it will cause no or poor freon/lubrican circulation which may lead to compressor failure due to no lubricant and overheat, then it's expensive to fix

    • @JoeysGarage
      @JoeysGarage  6 років тому +1

      Agreed... I was very worried about using the product

    • @wojciechzgodowski
      @wojciechzgodowski 6 років тому

      Joey's Garage you're better off buying that green ac leak detector, and fill up with refrigirant and some action 134a lubricant, find the leak, and get the oring at the dealership, it's only few dollars, and not $800+ for a new compressor. if you can't do it yourself take it to a mechanic, still cheaper.

    I was watering shouldn't somebody check to see what is actually leaking on the air conditioning if it's a line or seal or gasket condenser or evaporator before doing a review on a stop leak product I never had any luck with anything that's mechanic is a can

    Why don't you get some real gauges and do a proper test? You can't just throw some refrigerant in the car and expect it to work right....It's supposed to be weighed in according to the manufacturers spec on the car

    • @JoeysGarage
      @JoeysGarage  6 років тому +1
