Damn I guess this was a fuckin hard job to get it as professional as you did ! Respect for all of you guys! Made me smile to look back in the bf2 times when I watched this the first time^^!
@Watch3r15 yeah, Went over to Hong Kong for the past 2 weeks, so have not been able to finish it, but there is over 60 camera changes in the bf2 one, so we tried to match it shot by shot in ours
In older BFs these messages (Control point gain/loss, comrose messages, ticket bleed, etc) are displayed either in chat or on the top-left corner. We had no problem with MEC speaking Arab or PLA speaking Chinese in BF2.
@soap750 you have to see. the most logical map is firestorm. if i were to record it in wake then there will be no oil tanks and and that similar building. u should know since i presumed u have watched the original intro a thousand times
@LondonRaGe 'Oh, hey - this is a REMAKE in Battlefield 3, 'which evidently uses that awesome noise rolling towards the ending of every recording trailer and video from DICE's recent game... I wonder why it's in here, in this REMAKE of the Battlefield 2-intro, using the game Battlefield 3...?
@Shadow7988 imagine how awful it would be if you were infantry and there was nowhere to hide from the armour? keep in mind that there are 4 tanks 1 apc 1 jeep 2 hellicopters and 2 jets in firestorm.. on 64 player that leaves some people without transport..
@scottishclown In BC2 the rubble was some of the best cover in the game, especially if you wedged into certain parts that made it harder for vehicles to target you, but made it somewhat easy for infantry to chuck grenades in and kill you. I don't really get the argument about maps losing all sorts of cover. I think at least SOME buildings should come crashing down at the very least.
The only thing that could have made the remake better: having the ending theme playing when it shows the red number 2 before the woman says "Welcome to duty" and combine that with the walking BF3 soldier.
@bimil010 None of the buildings do. It's kind of ridiculous when you think about it. They make this fancy engine, then scale destruction back completely.
@KeeganLy Did u play the game? well from my point of view... legendary maps/better maps - not so many unnecessary unlucks and other stuff - Chopper with better tv missile, u had more possibilities with the air-vehicles in general - good rank-system - sometimes a little bit unrealistic, but that made the game even better ;) - no origin
@MrRukale No hes right. Battlefield 2 had a certain "Rawness" to it that Battlefield 3 doesn't. It's like comparing a homecooked steak to a fastfood burger.
@09gabelogan Actually, the intro movie of battlefield 2 IS NOT CINEMATIC, but it uses the actual game engine and is exactly how game footage is. Watch it again if you don't believe me
the video and the 2142 victory theme at the end.............such memories :')
/watch?v=6CdGGHXP8h8&
i know i saw it :D
Actually, BF 4 would give a better material for BF2 intro remake (chinese soldiers)
Exactly, they need to remake this in BF4

@@HalfPinoyPride they did
2:17 i expect the face slap but still fine though
That was really impressive. Nostalgia arrived in many waves. The setting just isn't quite right, but don't get me wrong you did an excellent job.
Fuckin awesome, and really well put together. Miss the bf2 days..
Fantastic job.
This was great, really reminded me of the BF2 intro which is good
From a BF2 veteran : that's verry well done! Nice job!
nice, the part where the heli flared the stinger missile was awesome. and the TV missile animation was spot on man.
Awesome man!!! Good touch on this intro.
Definitely missed those BF 2 times.
I haven't seen that intro in a while, but I played enough BF2 to say that this video did a really good job of remaking the original. Well done.
Really well done. I immediately recognized it scene by scene.
I also like the twist at the end with the artillery being replaced by the mortars :D
Haha! Awesome done peepz! I especially likes the end with the mortars :D
LOL, this was epic. Brought back memories of when BF2 first came out, the good old days. Good job.
Damn I guess this was a fuckin hard job to get it as professional as you did !
Respect for all of you guys! Made me smile to look back in the bf2 times when I watched this the first time^^!
This is the best remake of anything I have ever seen!
Very nice job....thanks for your hard work and dedication to the BF series of games!
@Watch3r15 yeah, Went over to Hong Kong for the past 2 weeks, so have not been able to finish it, but there is over 60 camera changes in the bf2 one, so we tried to match it shot by shot in ours
This is the most fucking awesome battlefield 3 short-movie like thing i have ever seen Nice job (subscribed)
In older BFs these messages (Control point gain/loss, comrose messages, ticket bleed, etc) are displayed either in chat or on the top-left corner. We had no problem with MEC speaking Arab or PLA speaking Chinese in BF2.
This was freakin' awesome ! Thanks guys !
@Xstreamvideo I hope that these features will be included in future patches
That was fantastic! Very well done!
hahaha, this video is great! I loved the mortars at the end, that was a complete surprise!
That Artillery Shot was a pure example of epic creativeness!
@bimil010 - It is possible to bring that building down, you just have to keep hammering it with mortars or tank rounds.
@soap750 you have to see. the most logical map is firestorm. if i were to record it in wake then there will be no oil tanks and and that similar building. u should know since i presumed u have watched the original intro a thousand times
Hit 'em here! Excellent work sirs!
@Xstreamvideo thats the thing.
the battlefield serious mostly become famous with that mw3 vs bf3 battle.
the sales on bfbc2 were like 1/4 of bf3
I got major goose bumps at the mortar scene :D Great job guys!
I just watched both this intro and the BF2 intro, together, in sync. Tears were made. DO IT!
I almost cry remembering thos great moments in BF2
Well done boys. Great vid. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Outstanding work guys!
@gyoosi08
ON PC ONLY, Press ~ (Tilde) to bring up console then use the commands:
UI.DrawEnable 0 - to disable HUD
UI.DrawEnable 1 - to re-enable HUD
this makes every other trailer for bf3 look even more epic
Cool! This brings back memories. Good job soldier!
This brings back some good old memories!
That was very well made. Thanks for sharing :D
@MrOmegagamer no titan....hard to work on. maybe after 2143 is released
@rpandawtf probly with FXAA. there's an FXAA setting that removes HUD
Fantastically done.
@hellfighter199 a menu that didnt work for the first 3-4 months the game was released.
I dont understand how ppl can dislike a video like this,, good job!!!1
@Shadow7988 imagine how awful it would be if you were infantry and there was nowhere to hide from the armour? keep in mind that there are 4 tanks 1 apc 1 jeep 2 hellicopters and 2 jets in firestorm.. on 64 player that leaves some people without transport..
@fwilkersilva i know, right? i just couldnt recreate the slapping so i took it out
The only thing holding this back is the inability to get the camera angles right, in every other way, awesome!
@Acheron90 nice job mate, you did a really good video.
This really brings me back! :D
cheeki breeki
@Xstreamvideo I agree with you.Battlefield 2 was my first Battlefield an now I'm in love with this francise!!!

Pretty cool remake, I have to say. Nicely done, gents!
Liked, Favorited and Subscribed. That was glorious.
Reminds of the old memories with BF2,always watched the intro.
Sound makes a huge difference geese! from Battlefield 2 to 3, the sound from Battlefield 2 makes the Battlefield 3 footage look so much less intense
Nice! Loved to hear the old music again. I kind of miss it a bit. But the new theme does cut it, too!
Lol, got goosebumps from the first 'Initializing satellite scan' + the next 20 seconds ^^
Always loved this intro and would never skip it.
@rpandawtf I heard on the PC version you can use commands for that. Google it
oh the memories this brought back
oh the memories.. god bf 1942 vietnam and bf2 were so much fun :(
Nicely done. :)
Was waiting for the slow-mo buggy jump.:p
How to make this video, i mean how to hide the map and your health??
amazing job guys! very well done! reminds me of the good ol' days of bf2!
@36Scinester for your words about a commander. Commander must be.
This makes you realize how painfully slow the jets are.
Ha! Very close to the original! Great job, Acheron90.
I love BF2 and this vid is an awesome tribute to it! :D
@bimil010 yea. my friend suggested that but the video was uploading by that time.
The only thing that could have made the remake better: having the ending theme playing when it shows the red number 2 before the woman says "Welcome to duty" and combine that with the walking BF3 soldier.
Start this video and the original one at the same time from "initializing satellite scan" switch between the two videos while watching.
epicness :D
nicely done would be great if you can do the bc2 trailer as well where the medic guy and his mates take out the enemy squad
ooh... that bring back a lot of good memories
Nostalgia....
@theRealAnonymousRain omfg, that was so awsome, and your right. Im old BF2 veteran to and i tell yourall THAT was AWSOME :D
about time someone made a Cinematic BF3 Films, i was worried I was the only one :P
@bimil010 None of the buildings do. It's kind of ridiculous when you think about it. They make this fancy engine, then scale destruction back completely.

@BFDaCr3W u can remove the ui through the console code
@Krawnound :D haha! But you can't do any trick with jets anymore in BF3, not even Wake Island. No bridges :D
Kinda don't understand why Back to Karkand wasn't used.
@Xstreamvideo sorry but some of us didn't care much for video games at the time but what was different with jets and choopers?
These were the days! When people actually worked together!
Holy! Brings back memories!
if only bf3 lived up to bf2 nice work on the intro
Great editing!!!
@ZulitoZep that wasnt dalian plant
Freaking awesome!!! well done!
This intro happened in game all the time in BF2, feels like it doesn't happen in BF3.
Awsome, Totally awsome. Well made, well done lads.
thank you for this... i love you
Great work guys! I almost forgot how good BF2 was.. I think I'm gonna reinstall it right now.
@MrRukale No hes right. Battlefield 2 had a certain "Rawness" to it that Battlefield 3 doesn't. It's like comparing a homecooked steak to a fastfood burger.
Genious! Great work
@Crealtos Because it was not similar to the map used for the BF2 intro. No helicopters ect.
@BrandonNothwang You forgot Bad Company 1 & 2
@LOLUNIT oh, interesting, if you finish it let me know I'd like to see it.
@09gabelogan Actually, the intro movie of battlefield 2 IS NOT CINEMATIC, but it uses the actual game engine and is exactly how game footage is. Watch it again if you don't believe me
Great!!! :) U made very nice work at this!!! :)
