I have seen hundreds of “how to” sewing videos. You are stellar in your complete and through instructions. Your skills are impeccable. The narration is intelligent and accurate. Thankful in Rockford, Illinois.
Beautiful work. Your attention to precise alignment to achieve perfect results is an excellent lesson to all and easy to achieve and to see the results on a quick project like this. Thank you for your numerous detailed video tutorials. I am impressed that you are able to continue to do all of this with a young baby!
My preferred zipper by the yard/foot is from My Handmade Space and More Me Know. I also have a few brands I like on Amazon (YaHoGa, Leeyaker, Goyunwell). You can however make this pattern with a single dress zipper, I have demonstrated that here: ua-cam.com/video/vNrQMt9F25g/v-deo.htmlsi=4oWRrJhkePls3BVY
It’s 10.5 x 7 with the corners snipped at an angle, I know I give the measurement in one of the original Logi videos but it is entirely possible I didn’t state it in this video! I’ll add it to the description, thank you!
I sew on a Juki HZL-DX7, this is the narrow zipper foot I use; it didn’t come with the machine though, it’s just a generic low shank foot! I’ve had it over 4 years and except for the fact I always sweep it into my clip cup when I’m cleaning it’s been great. 😉 a.co/d/j4wIaT4
On my machine I use 2.4, but it varies depending on how your particular machine feeds, the foot you have on, and what material you are using; I know a lot of people would find 2.4 to be too short. For example thicker materials will use a longer stitch length and for vinyls you may need a longer length. Which is why I don’t state a specific stitch length, but I mean a length you use for the bulk of your seams, differentiating from a topstitching length.
Beautifully done! Thank you so much for the pattern!
Great explanation all the way through
Thank you Eileen!

Is there a source list for the items needed? I cannot find zipper by the foot locally.

Is there some place that references what size the foam is cut? I’m not finding it but could be missing something 😉

@@OKSew474 thank you! 😊
What model of Juki do you use? I really like the extra narrow foot that it has 😊

@@OKSew474 thanks! I’ll have to check out a generic for one of my machines 😉
Thanks! What do you consider a construction stitch length?

What size zipper do you use? Thank you!
Hi Ellen! I use a size 5. Size 3 would also work but I prefer the look of the size 5.
