I think there is an accessibility aspect as well… I am more likely to buy from sustainable brands when I can see the items and touch them in person at a store like Target or Macy’s than risking buying online, not liking an item and then having to ship it back. I wonder if that’s a barrier for these brands too.

Absolutely! Especially when they try so hard to limit returns and very few have physical presences.

I think spending budgets have also reduced a lot with the current inflation. People are so much price conscious .
