At this point, i want Saka and Rice out of the team. Protect these guys, man. The way Saka is scapegoated by rival fans and the media, for a guy who has showed 15 mins of MEDIOCRE football against tired Slovenian legs is wild to me. No he didn't muppet, it's an opinion, some people have the views that he's the best cover. Ska is the best defensive wing, in pl, but didn't mean he's a great lb. Everyone had different opinions, some think you should cover the vases better, & lose 10% of ska ability moving him. Ian isn't saying Cole is better than ska, he's saying Cole is better at rw than kt is at lb, even if you move ska. I've been a fan of Palmer since his city academy days. He's the same level of talent as foden. He's class, but we can't say he's better than saka rn. We need more evidence of his performances in the prem. My personal opinion is yes, but you can't actually factually say it because saka has done alot more than one year of work.
In saying that Ive always wanted england to play a 343, play saka LM, you can even get Trent RM, palmer RW.

The hype surrounding Palmer is getting way over the top now. He's a great young talent but a decent 15 minute cameo against a tired Slovakian defence doesn't suddenly make him England saviour. Saka has been consistently one of England's better players over the last few years and even in this tournament has shown a few promising moments - if Foden had stayed onside he'd have a goal to his name too. The level of disrespect is laughable.

He started there for arsenal, probably played 5-20 games there. & that was at least 3 years ago.

Him and Foden have the same gift and problem, they can play left, right and centre of the attack but are least efficient from the left but at least they can do a job outside of their favourite right and central positions. It doesn’t mean they’re not right wingers but you also can’t say someone is wrong for calling palmer a RW considering he’s played a lot of his career there and very well. You might be the same kinda person that forgets that Bellingham is actually an 8 but somehow now people think he’s only a 10. But that aside, the positional versatility of Palmer is one of the reasons Saka IS limited and the first time a conversation comes up for him to play outside of his preferred position, Arsenal fans are crying but it’s ok for Foden, Trent and even Bellingham to be played out of position? Jorginho is a penalty merchant (players that only get chances to score cos of how good they are at taking penalties), that’s not Palmer! We need to see how he develops but eye test tells you he’s not overrated. He’s not a player you can really plan for cos he’s so unpredictable and he can beat defenders with trickery or passes which suggests he has more in his toolbox than Saka who is not that creative. Palmer is a creative playmaking winger when he’s out wide but Saka is more of a direct get at your defender type which Palmer can also do which is why they say Palmer has more to his game. Think of Palmer as what you get if you mix Saka and Odegaard together so the directness of Saka but the trickery and creativity of Odegaard. That’s what people are seeing and that’s why they rate him so highly. Those kinda players are not flukes, they’re undeniable and only time will tell how far he can go!
