Crashing my 90+ Mph RC Car and getting a NEW PB! WLtoys 124019

So 'I'm Done' with this Phase, let's go! #jager13 #wltoys
To achieve this New PB and fix the issue with the ESC holding back, I reduced the Voltage Cut off down to 3V. This worked and it constantly gave me awesome results.
90MPH with the previous Set up (5.5T Motor). The 4.5T was a little faster, but even though it was rotating at around 100,000 RPM, the ESC and Battery need to be upgraded to get the most from it!

I’ve been getting lots of comments on where I’m running these. Unfortunately it’s private land, and not open to the public. Even though I work there, it’s taken me about 2yrs to sort out.... otherwise I’d organise a group run 👍🏻. But look on the bright side... you are getting some nice content 😎🤟

@James Clark there are recent yellow center lines on the taxiway. Also when pilots plan their routes, they still use these as emergency landing sites. 😉

Did you have to dispose of the lipo? I have the gens ace beaching too and they have aluminium renforcement plates on either side.

awesome speed run, you are close to the 100 now, seems a week for speed crashes, my strada took on a curb and lost, and a friend rolled his Banzai speed runner, he is at 80 so far, not bad for a drift car lol

I am actually like super surprised that the lipo battery didnt burst into flames from scraping on the ground and being exposed like that. Im genuinely surprised and its a good thing it didn't!
Pretty damn fast little beast. Looks like you've got some problems with your downforce. To put it short and quick: Think about lowering the front and try some softer springs at the back. Maybe this could solve the problem?
Man mine 124019 is cursed everytime i hit 68mph i finds nearest curb and smashes the shit to pieces..lol 3 times now last pass made 1 run and it found a 🚚 wheel
Easy to do if you have a rough road and a few obstacles like curbs! They are like magnets!
Crazy I just crashed mine the other day in an icy ditch at 68mph lol. It did not fair too well, rebuild under way.

I just hit 100mph I think I'm running the same motor but a 4.5t on 4s!!
Awesome! 100 is possible on 3s, but not with the current ESC/Lipo combo
@@TomleyRC you could upgrade to 4s but I can only get 1-2 runs in (up and back) before the motor gets too hot (not burning out but hot enough!) I think 3s and gearing up is a better way, I'm personally trying to see what I can do with stock gearing 😀 keep up the good work Tom
@@MatthewSimm I’m really hoping to push it past 100 in 3s. I always feel more Volts is the easy option. I like to do it a little more technical. Hence it’s still running a nice sleek body without anything sticking out of it 😎

oh btw, for all of u that think i have the stock esc, i put a hobbywing max 8. The stock esc is only rated for 4s.

@Sparsh chassis, front bulkhead, both front arms, the c hubs, the axles, the servo, and the center drive shaft.

That ESC is rated to 4000KV max on 3S lol. I have 2 of those. They are great, just the fan is a bit noisy.

The problem was...you didn't have a flux capacitor.. good effort though 🇬🇧👍😎
@Tomley RC my 3.5T rocket motor literally blew up on 3s, heat skyrocketed on the second run, motor blew oil over the inside of the car I can only imagine a bearing went on it, I'll take it apart at the weekend. Mine tumbled at 97mph on 2s and was okay so you were unlucky on the crash, that said if it tumbles it seems to bend at least one driveshaft
They are pretty tough! The 4.5T was getting really hot, but I was only doing 2 passes before stopping for a bit to cool it down

I've been trying to get mine over 100 but have issues with the center drive shaft. it vibrates like crazy and is soaking up a ton of power
I know this is an old thread but I have a problem child 124019 that won't go straight...constant right turn. Had to replace parts due to suicide attempt by the car smh now it's buggered but good. TIA love the channel...really.

Once you flip it over those front shock mounts are broke. It's a million micro screws to fix. It sucks.

As you said about that foam on the floor.. don't you think it would benefit for more Stability on high speed... Just like old F1 cars with that "ground effect" skirts on the floor...
