Hiking to Hidden Pond in the Ocala National Forest with Our Husky Kuma

For this week's adventure we bring you on a hike along a portion of the Florida Trail. We hiked from Juniper Springs Recreation Area about five or so miles along the Florida Trail to a gem called Hidden Pond. This is a spring-fed pond and was an oasis in the woods worth checking out!
Our original plan was to make it a weekend backpacking trip, and first exposure to backpacking for our husky Kuma. Unfortunately with our work schedules we didn't have time to spend two days out in the Ocala National Forest enjoying Hidden Pond and camping near it as we originally intended, so we decided to just make it an eleven mile day hike.
We plan to eventually start bringing Kuma on some of our backpacking adventures, so he had his own pack to carry his water and we got a hands-free leash to make it easier to walk that far and long with him!
