Product Sourcing:
When it comes to sourcing a product for review, I will usually either purchase and item personally or reach out to a supplier requesting a sample for review. Most suppliers, after seeing the channel, are supportive if they are confident in their product, appreciating the value of greater exposure.
I am sometimes asked to review a product by a supplier which I will only agree to if the product fits the channel and I believe will be of interest to you, my audience. Also the product needs to be worthy of a review. It is not in my interest to review inferior or poor quality products and therefore as you might expect many requests are politely declined.
Any sponsored videos (paid for reviews) are clearly stated as such so there can be no misunderstanding. Even with sponsored reviews I will only agree to a sponsorship on products and services which I believe will be of genuine interest to viewers.
I will always make reference in the video to products which have been provided for review by a supplier and I always make it clear to the supplier that they cannot influence or be involved in the review in any way if they choose to supply a product.
Sometimes a supplier will provide a link to the product or the supplier which I am happy to include in the description. Sometimes I will be provided with an affiliate link so I can earn a commission on sales and this helps to support channel costs but never at the expense of an honest review.
If a product I have reviewed is available from Amazon I will often include an Amazon link in the description. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. If you purchase a product or service with the links that I provide I may receive a small commission. There is no additional charge to you.

I really appreciate the feedback in the comments - I find it a source of knowledge and inspiration - so thank you to all of you who take the time to contribute. I have recently found that if I continue to respond to all the comments as the number of videos builds, it takes time away from being able to produce new content which would be very counter productive! - so my aim is to read everything I can and reply when I can, after each video goes live, until the next video goes live a week later. I'll see how that works out 😊

Alright Jon?! The Larq pitcher seems worth checking out. It is a bit pricey but considering what I spend on bottled water it would definitely save me a few quid in the long run. Also I love a health product might actually be what it claims to be.

I wish the Orbit keys came with an attachment solution for a car key fob (other than a typical split ring).
Hopefully they are watching the comments.....
I absolutely adore my orbitkey, I started with the patent leather but ended up returning it as its slippery finish made the keys flip out all the time no matter how tight you made the screw, so I exchanged it for the black rubber and I absolutely love it! Keys stay silent and organized and no worries about scratching my high end bags or phone in my pocket.
I have 2 of the inCharge Xl’s that I bought because of this channel. Highly recommended.

I can't help but feel the Star Wars Orbit Keys are... not overtly SW enough. I'm all for subtle and clean designs... but SW design esthetics aren't that.

Glad you’ve scrapped bottled water. The Larq seems lovely except for the price tag and all the packaging. Part of EDC awareness must include SUSTAINABILITY and we need to embrace a zero waste ethic. Being prepared also means preparing for the future by being conservative NOW.

Yes price is high, but quality is very high too. Lots of packaging but no plastic so should all be recyclable.
Absolutely, though the Larq is a bit bulky to edc anywhere. For now, a small bottled water that fits in my pocket, is the most elegant option.
Hey Jon . Have a great weekend . The little clear flashlight is excellent . Great reccomendation. I ordered a green Thorn stellar knife out of curiosity and it’s excellent , very impressed for an $80 knife , feels like a $250 knife

Hi Jon. How about doing a video on different (top 5 or 10) EDC water bottles?
I'm not so sure about the microphone being EDC, but otherwise, some really interesting stuff.

I used to use the Quadlock but now have moved to the Peak Design case and I think it's very slept on, so much nicer than the Quad lock.(IMO) Retains wireless charging, has a finger loop, and is magnetic and nicer to use on bikes and such.

Hello 👋 a bit off topic but do you know the sak compact has a hidden slot in the scale, all you got to do is file the opening, and also you can hide a small memory card under the scale as well .
Shame about the Star Wars LE not making it here over the pond, but the rest is food for thought! The wireless mic was really interesting, just getting started with the UA-cam journey but sound is something I've found problematic to get right! Thanks for another good vid Jon

Larq I bought a water bottle, it looks really cool But its harder to suck water out, than a McDuddle milkshake
Is the water in the UK so bad? I live in Germany, we dont need to filter the water here, as the standards for tap water are more strict than the standards for bottled water.

Bit disappointed with this one Jon, seemed like one big promotion for expensive tat.
Thanks for the feedback which is appreciated - all of this gear is really good in my view and opinions are my own and are genuine - the LARQ video is sponsored which requires certain information to be included and can therefore look more like an advert - but sponsors help the channel exist so worth it I would say and all creators are grateful for them. We use the Hollyland on the channel and it is the least expensive of the competition and works well. I would argue than none of this is tat!
