For others, the common practice on the w204 was to keep the stock mufflers and remove the resonators. Not sure if that would be a good middle ground here but worth exploring.

ive heard that on my C207 E400 and it sounds like a riced out honda 4 cyl or something w that. Res is huge on the C207 guys beware, u will lose all deep sound w only res off C207 400.
So your exhaust sounds the same no matter what driving dynamic you’re on, right? I’ve been wanting to do this to my car but haven’t found a video of someone doing it before I found your channel. Was always scared of the drone. Thanks for making the video, you got yourself another sub.
Appreciate you man!! The engine timing actually changes from eco, comfort, sport and sport + so it's not as loud in eco mode. Minor difference not major. I'll SOMETIMES use eco on the highway for hours and it's all good no worries on sound at all.

I know I’m late but what you’re saying is delete both mufflers and resonators? Also I have a 2020 C43 wanting to do this because I don’t have the performance exhaust.

Hey mate, I have a 2017 C43 with the AMG Performance exhaust. It already sounds amazing in my opinion, but louder can never hurt. What do you think sounds better the AMG exhaust or the combo your running? Cheers
I'd recommend doing downpipes to make it loader but keep the tone the same. If you want even louder after that then remove the exhaust and straight pipe it. Can't go wrong with this setup the car sounds amazing.
Did you get a check engine light on? Can you pass emissions like that?
*So you always have to drive in manual mode because it sounds like hell in automatic with the drone*

I always question the same thing. Want to do it for cheap (not buying a cat back) and the same type I don't want to ruin my factory exhaust.
Would be careful straight piping a normally aspirated car!! Very different experience than with turbos. Think of straight piped Civics or Tahoes

Removed the mufflers and resonators - custom pipes starting right after the cats. A lot of welding but it's worth it!

Emilson Gavile there is no performance exhaust on the 450 they all come with the same one. The performance exhaust was added for the c43

I'm in the same boat as you my friend. I'm debating on putting either an x pipe or h pipe in replace of the resonater. I noticed that the AMG performance exhaust has an h pipe.

@@shelbyhaiketic4212 no, he had custom built x pipes. You can buy your own one aswell. They just have to weld everything together of course.

@@TheBenzorNothing Yes they do because it's was still called C450 not C43 AMG even if it's the same engine. Therefore the C450 doesn't have the AMG tunes and coding.

if you delete cats just use o2 spacers on the rear o2 you might need a 90 degree spacer
Hey man, I see that you got a c63 now and my question is: Should I spend money on my c400 doing a tune, straight pipe and downpipe or should I leave it stock, sell it in a year and save for a c63 sedan?
It depends on you man! I couldn't decide and kept both. Totally different cars with almost nothing that's the same. I will say, if you get a c63 there's a lot needed to get it to where it's a wild experience. The C450 seems to be perfect with little to no modifications. Unexplainable really

with the DME tune the rev limiter will be removed!

Cool video!! Do you get any vibrations in the cabin? I’ve got a C300 with sport mufflers and res deleted and there’s a lot of noise and low frequencies in the cabin. Any suggestions on how I can get rid of these noises in the cabin? Would it make sense to put a resonator back on??
I have the E43 AMG model with sport mufflers and there are vibrations in the cabin.

ECU came like that from the factory. 2016 wasn't hit with the emissions regulations like the 2017+ cars were. To answer your question, resonators and exhausts were removed and custom piping was done from front to back.

@@akarshbenipal You sure the resonators were deleted too? Sound like a small resonator might still be in your exhaust set up.
@@TheBenzorNothing no, its all straight pipe but i got the j-pipe installed, now no drone it all nd i would suggest u to do it if u have even a lil bit, it eliminates drone nd keeps the same sound

2016 C450 - The C450 and C43 have the same engine and power numbers big difference is the 9 speed(C43) vs 7 speed(C450)

So I shouldn’t just do muffler delete? I have just the muffler delete rn but the drone in comfort is sometimes annoying and I want it louder. I don’t want to lose hp or torque though from no back pressure
