If you get this job, what’s the first topic you’ll write about?I want to write about ____ I’ve heard customers/colleagues talk about this issue and I have yet to hear of a solution.
Eli, this was a very thorough and informative video. I interviewed for the analyst role twice, and although I was successful in both of my interviews, I could have definitely used this videos guidance beforehand. If I could offer you some feedback it would be that this video was a lot to digest in one sitting, I would suggest instead a couple of 5 minute companion videos where you break down the major takeaways of the parts of this video into different sections. The most useful and interesting insights for me (as a former Gartner Analyst) were at the end, and I worry viewers won’t stick around for the end. Keep up the good work!
Hello Eli, thank you for the video. The process is exactly same as you mentioned in this video. I watched it before the start of my interview and watching it gain after completing it. It helped me to make the most . Keep bringing more stories from Gartner. Regards, Akshay
"I don't know what I don't know and I'm here to learn, and I'm willing to learn." - Perfect answer. I wonder what the world would look like if everyone thought this way.
Elias, thank you very much for sharing this invaluable information! Am looking forward to applying this knowledge to the Gartner interviewing process and utilizing it for this, as well as, any future opportunities. Be well.
You had your interview? I had my Technical interview which went well. And they told me if selected, the next will be managerial round which is excitedly concerning me. Let me know if you are done with your interview and have any insight on that.
Hi, Elias, thank you for sharing the interview process. Could you give more information about the editors in Gartner? I’m really interested in this position and I’m preparing my CV for it. Thank you very much.
well my friend, it depends :) depends on you primarily and a bit of luck secondarily. As with everything in life, your job is to try hard, do great research and make a difference for customers! Gartner will reward you! it also depends on luck a bit... Sometimes, you will get an opportunity to work on a large project that raises your profile, sometimes you will get an opportunity to speak at a conference that will raise your profile... all these will help push you forward. At 30, if you stay at Gartner and doing all the right things... I think your odds are very good
Amazing video, currently am applying to be a sales associate and this insight was still great. I would love to connect if possible to ask further questions about the company Thanks!
research analyst is NOT a salesman... it is a great job if you like to research, talk to customers, present and yes, you will support sales but that is a very small part of your job. PRO TIP: if you hate writing or not good at it, you will HATE the analyst gig. No one ever loves writing but you have to be able to do it and go it well otherwise you will hate it
Hello Eli , thank for this informative video. I have an upcoming interview with Garnter for an internship but I don’t the job description or which department it is. I applied for an data analyst internship but they rejected that application considered for another role.
Thanks for the videos! In terms of pay, what is the difference between an AE vs. Sr. EA position with Gartner? Any advice on negotiating a better pay or sales position title? I know you are covering Gartner from an analyst perspective. Any other resources you would recommend for interviewing or negotiating a better-paying sales position? Thanks for your help.
I watched this after applying to 4 jobs with similar technical skills needed. After watching this I don't want anything to do with Gartner. This sounds absurd.
