The ham file works, just in auto mode it will not use the 40MHz band, so goggles will stick on 16 or 32Mbit. The extra channels and for non US users the higher power output work. When you set a channel manually you also get 50Mbit on 40MHz band. So only auto channel function is "broken" and this is a bug in the released goggle firmware. People also report issues with Avata 2 besides O4 AU's. Let's hope DJI fixes this soon, till then I just set a manual channel.
@ Depends on how you look at it. The function is to enable more power and channels, that works. The auto channel feature not picking max bandwidth is in my opinion a goggle firmware bug and has nothing to do with the ham file itself. That it only occurs when using ham file is a bug in firmware triggered by the file. So the "ham file" is not broken as it still does it's thing. But each their own opinion. If the ham file was broken "in my opinion" there wouldn't be more channels and no more then 25mW in CE regions.
The reason is to fly with more DJI pilots at a time: HAM Gives you 3x 40mhz channels in manual mode (instead of 1) and gives you 7x 20mhz channels in manual mode (instead of 3).
I'm in the US and I did the Ham unlock on my Goggles 2 to gain access to more channels. I did it a long time ago and actually forgot that I had done it until I fired up my brand new O4AU and could only get 15-16 mbps bitrate. Of course I went to UA-cam to see if anyone had done a video about this and Mad's Tech had posted one a few hours earlier. I then switched to manual and everything seemed fine after that. It kind of sucks not being able to use AUTO mode, but I've got like 27 or 28 quads/wings currently bound to those goggles and I'm not doing a hard reset in the hopes that it will fix it.
I know this question isn't directly related to the video but I wanted to know if on the goggles integra you can output video from the USB port and connect it to a phone with a DJI app so that other people can see how you fly On the N3 goggles it's possible But on the integra I couldn't find a answer Thank you
I saw Mad's Tech talk about this, and I have only been using the Goggles 3 with the O4 air unit but even with my Integra goggles, I only ever use manual mode so I guess for me it wouldn't be an issue. I would think if you're savvy enough to use the ham file on the goggles; it's not that difficult to run it in manual to get the full Mbps. I do feel it shouldn't be an issue though. nice informative video though 👍
Thanks for the warning. People, don't use the HAM file!
FCC hack with FCC G2 seems unaffected. Arm and got 50Mb/s no issue
There were some mixed info out there so I wasn't sure if FCC region goggles were affected. Seems only CE goggles are affected right now.
Really curious indeed... Thanks for the info, Albert!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

HAM file partially works = broken

Thanks for the info. Long life to ham file hack!
Why would anyone in the U.S. use the ham file? Seems like a waste of time.

Interesting... so some people in the US are having this issue while others are not.... this is a weird one!
