    I had the Eibach Pro Kit on my Sonata Turbo Sport years ago (non ADS). The springs improved all aspects of the suspension. However, it was NOT adaptive suspension. I was very pleased with them.

    I have RS-R coilovers and I do install them in the summer and remove them when Autumn comes. As you said, the installation is straightforward. However, the front left strut's removal is always a pain in the butt, and I wonder if you experience the same!! Great video Chad!! Wish you 1 million subscribers.

    Great video! I too have the Accord Touring on H&R Sport Springs and I have the same experience, I prefer the feeling of the suspension on sport but don't want to be in sport all the time and also wish the suspension was stiffer on sport (I've driven on coilovers for many years so it's what I'm used to). I plan to install replace the H&Rs with Tein coilovers w/the EDFC controller to control dampening.

    Again, another great informative video. Have you had any kind of weight in the back seat or trunk? Sometimes that can help settle the springs a little faster.
    I was wondering if you planned to do the chrome delete on the lower trim pieces as well? Also, are those your factory wheels? I have been searching for a rim that looks like an upgraded stock version but haven’t had any luck and during this video yours stood out.
    Thanks for the info again and I can’t wait for the exhaust video, hopefully in the near future?

    Great videos by the way! Did you gain a bigger handling improvement from the rear sway bar or lowering springs? I'm contemplating doing just the sway if it improves the body roll well enough. Car sits pretty low as is..so may avoid the drop. Thanks!

    • @TheLemonFactor
      @TheLemonFactor  3 роки тому +1

      Thank you for the positive comment 👍. It’s difficult to say witch was more impactful without having each on the car by themselves. With that said, the ADS of the Touring model does a great job limiting body roll, and the addition of the rear sway bar while not drastic did help dial it in further and to a point that I was very happy with.

I have the Pro Kit, Endura Pro's on my 2018 Accord with the camber kit which is necessary if you want to look stock and not wear the tires out. I have had H&R, Neuspeed and Eibach. I’m worried about picking the Eibach kit instead and blowing out my stock shocks that have 65k miles of wear on them. So far, no signs of any premature wear of the shocks. I'm still very happy with the Eibach springs, and would do it again. Although my alignment is not true to spec, it's not off by much, and with regular tire rotations, I have not experienced any uneven wear.

    Hello! I have a few questions regarding camber arms and ball joints. When my eibach sport springs were installed, for a while there would be sounds when ever I would turn my steering wheel when I was back out or if I turned it drastically. I took it to a shop that specializes in suspension and they said nothing was wrong. I did some asking around, and some folks came to the same problem. The problem being the ball joints. Would it be wise to get the joints replaced? As for camber arms, eibach sells rear arms, which I have installed, but I’m not sure about the front arms. Where and what camber arms would you recommend to get?

    • @TheLemonFactor
      @TheLemonFactor  3 роки тому +1

      That’s big! In general the smaller the aspect ratio the less tire to absorb road harshness. And with a 10.5 rim you’ll have plenty of contact patch, but maybe too much. Of course the tire itself will also impact feel. Strictly regarding ride quality, I’m sure you’ll notice a degradation.

      Without a rear camber kit you’re unable to adjust the camber - any change in ride height will impact your camber. I opted not to install a camber kit as the drop in ride height was only 1”, which did impact my camber, but not drastically. I will be keeping a close eye on the tires AND rotating them sticking to a strict schedule. If I see abnormal wear I will end up installing a rear camber kit. If I dropped the car any lower than I did, then I would have installed a camber kit. Hope this helps.

    I’m at a decision point. Recently sold my classic mini leaving me with the 2018 Accord Sport as my remaining fun car. Recently had the dumb (brilliant?) idea of selling the accord as well and getting a mid 2000s 911. That would be in about 18 months so both kids would be in booster seats. Anyway the other finically responsible idea is to mod the accord. Spend $3000 on rear sway bar, coil overs and ktuner or $2500ish on speakers. Or do nothing and save the cash for 911 (or M2?).

    • @TheLemonFactor
      @TheLemonFactor  2 роки тому

      That’s a tough decision - having owned a Porsche, they are great cars 🤔. The Accord is such a well rounded car, a great bargain, and comparatively speaking reasonably cheap to modify.

      @@TheLemonFactor Yeah the accord is sooooo cheap to own. Even taking it to the dealer is not where as much as my old 2012 BMW 535i that we traded for the Accord. First time the dealer told me how much brakes cost i asked "for one corner?" :-)

    Bottom line; the springs cause a worse ride. When you say you feel bumps more, this is a result of the springs being less forgiving. When you say it's a little bouncy, this is a result of the shocks traveling more on a shorter spring. This is not being "nit-picky." The ride quality has been degraded as a result of the springs. Call it for what it is. Don't sugar coat the issue.

      @@TheLemonFactor I appreciate the added feedback, especially since you've used this setup for at least 2 years since this video was uploaded. The reason it interests me is because I bought the Eibach Pro Kit springs for my car, along with Bilstein B6 shocks. I have not installed them yet. Initial research indicated these springs and shocks would be a good pairing. However, other feedback I've seen in other youtube videos seems to indicate that maybe it's less than optimal and possibly would wear out the shocks sooner as these shocks are designed to be an OEM replacement that performs better than OEM or is more durable than OEM... hard to accurately characterize since I've heard different characterizations. While talking with an Eibach representative, they indicated the shocks should work well with the Pro Kit since they indicated their spring, and I'll paraphrase since this is not a quote, as an better performing OEM replacement even though it lowers the car 30mm, and therefore an OEM style shock should be good. While watching a video from FCP Euro specifically about Bilstein B4, B6, B8 and one more shock that I cannot remember at this time, they indicated (again, I'm paraphrasing and this is not a quote) the B8 is designed for a lowering spring. As you can see, I'm getting mixed messages from many sources. The ones I mentioned are not the only sources. This is why hearing your characterization of the spring/shock setup is important to me. My hope and my goal is to have a slightly better performing suspension than OEM with very little sacrifice to ride quality. This is why I bought the Eibach Pro Kit and Bilstein B6, but again, I have not installed them yet out of concern that maybe it's a bad setup. Any and all feedback (the more detailed and specific the better) is greatly appreciated. Now that you know my situation, and as a driver who has practical experience with Eibach and Bilstein, is there anything you might say about my situation? I appreciate your feedback.
