I bought remotify last week for my akai midimix aha, but for my personal use I prefer more send so it's ok 😅 The only thing I'm missing is an option for session box to take returns tracks in count. Otherwise it's perfect, a truly game changer software !!
We're glad to hear you're enjoying it! The session box in Mixify works across the return tracks. We're hoping to get session box return tracks integrated into Control Surface Studio soon 👍
You can limit the faders to 0db in your Ableton set up. When assigning the faders to channels, there's also a min and max vol option. Set that to 0db and the fader will be limited.
I don't understand, I would like to use the midimix to control my vst synthesizer, but the faders are automatically mapped to the track volumes, is it possible to clear all the presets to be able to use the fader for controllers what I want ?
@@remotify It doesn't work, I'm in midi mapping (blue mode) and every time I turn a fader it affects the A/B faders of the scene (I'm in session mode) Impossible to assign them to another parameter...
@@LaTeamRocketII The script itself can be edited using our script editor software Control Surface Studio (a license is required). Aside from that, Ableton usually overrides script functionality when mapped via their internal mapping mode. This is an Ableton Live issue if it isn't working for you.
Congrats on this. I’ve been aware of remotify for a few years. I’ve tried it, but not exactly use it, for a number of reasons. This script for sale is what I hope is the first of many scripts. Unfortunately the Akai midi mix is something I ended up returning for a Novation Launch Control XL which I believe is superior. I would love you to produce such a script. The Akai unit is so bad that eBay and Amazon sell replacement knobs. Also, any scripts you produce for the various launchpads I would be interested in. Thanks!

Great script, but how can I highlight tracks? I'm trying to modify the script with Remotify but I can't find a way to highlight tracks relative to the session box. If I I make a 'arm' mapping I can select 'relative to session box position' . But for the 'highlight navigation' mapping I don't see this option. It would be nice to have track selection on this script. For another project I want to select any of 64 visible tracks with my 64 pads on the Launchpad Mini MK3. So every pad on the Launchpad is connected to specific track selection: pad 1 selects visible track 1, pad 2 visible track 2 and so on.. I know I can select specific tracks using modifiers, but there are only 20 modifiers. I tried posting on the Remotify community forum and asked for an example script but this seems impossible to do with Remotify? I will duplicate this post on the Remotify forum and hope to also get an answer there. Thanks for the help! Jan

I have a quick question: when you press the Solo knob to switch banks between mixer mode and clip/device mode, do you achieve this through the Midimix utility software, or is it coded directly in your Python script (surface script)? It seems like this concept could be implemented using Bome MIDI Translator Pro by switching to a different preset to change the knob functionalities. I'm just curious about how you managed to set this up
Hey! Are you the one who worked on this MIDI remote script ? I'm creating a custom script myself and had a question if you have the answer. I know we can solo tracks with keyboard shortcuts, which means there's a trigger somewhere in there. Have you figured out how to fire off that solo action through MIDI? For the compiled version already there in Ableton), what decompiler you used to get the approximative source code for the midi remote scripts, which i suppose you did to be able to reproduce a similar script.

They will only be able to control that 1 specific channel. These will dynamically move with the position of the red box
just bought the script, I'm anxious to try it, yet I don't see anything happening with the -send all- button ? what would this be change to?

You can override the script mapping with Live's built in MIDI mapping mode

In Ableton Live's Preferences > MIDI tab, make sure you have ticked 'Track' & 'Remote' for both the input and output of the Mixify script.
