I love the idea of putting VSTs inside of a rack to control parameters! I never thought of this…thanks for sharing your workflow - definitely going to implement this idea 🎉😊
Yeah, too bad that: 1) It's successor missed the mark way off - awesome you can now play the pads, but it's idiotic to remove two banks of physical knobs and faders and replace them with gimmicky touch trips 2) Ableton should release a factory script for APC 40Mk2 where you can play the pads, even without velocity - it works in Bitwig
We rely on this controller heavily for our template, but we use it in "remote" mode in Ableton where all encoders are set to fixed CCs so it s one knob per function. The top knobs are used for mater bus live performance FX (think DJ FX) and the 2x4 rotaries are Low Pass Filters for the major elements of the track. very fast this way on stage and no track select neccesary. It s a shame this controller is no longer made

Its so mad I bough a brand new apc40 mk2 3 days ago. After more than 10 years it was released. I didn't find 2nd hand gear so I found it in Ireland after commenting another UA-cam video.

How do you set this up? Is it possible with the older APC40?
