We need to get an expedition organized to prove that some herds are so far back in the wilderness that they might have possibly fled northward to the southern areas of Red China 🇨🇳 possibly.
The Kouprey (Bibos sauveli) is not officially extinct, surprisingly, it is one of the three extant species of the genus Bibos, the other two being the Gaur (Bibos gaurus (cladistically including the Gayal/Mithun (Bibos gaurus frontalis))) and the Banteng (Bibos javanicus (cladistically including the Bali Cattle (Bibos javanicus domesticus))), Bibos is the most basal of the four extant genera of true cattle (subtribe Bovina).
