    🍎 I purchased the Aberlite Max when you talked about it in one of your classes. I can't remember when but I do remember you saying you used it once a week for a reset I believe. My beard is long and the Max does the job well. I only use it once a week right out of the shower with butter in beard. That ionic thing they got going on is mind blowing sometimes. Amazing how it can make your beard so soft. Thanks for an update on their line. 🍎 Real quick while I have your attention, a man with a goatee and mustache stopped me in the parking lot at the grocery a couple months ago. He asked me how long it took and the usual questions. When he asked how I keep it so straight, I looked at him and said "heat plus tension equals direction". After I explained it to him he had the look in his eye of new found hope. Your teachings spread beyond the eyes of the screen. You teach us to educate. Here's one more. 🍎

    Been a sub since you first started. Bought my first beard brush after a year an a half of growth. My better half hates the beard but yet helps me grow it. Long story short the beard straightener has become a good friend. And to you brother thank you for the time you take to put out the info. Skål from the north man of the midwest.

    The heated brushes definitely changed the beard game. Some of the beards that would be considered too unruly now have a chance to look better. Now we have less beards being shaved off. The ionic features I feel is a must. Here is what is said on the one I have...The built-in ionic generator emits amount of negative oxygen ions that can interact with the molecular particles in your hair to repair and smooth hair cuticle. They seal the hair cuticle reducing frizziness, split ends, knotting and leaving hair silky and lustrous. Thoroughly nourishing and strengthening hair, prevent hair dry and knotted. Show the hair gets the elaboration, double and bright!

    Aberlite has always been a good end result for me, I have used the original brush and have had it for over a year. I think the difference for the longer beards is the tines really comes in handy. I noticed the Pro didnt have that, but it made easy work of your beard. Might have to give it a look after all.

    I go back and forth on the heated brush. I never got a great result from them, but I'm never sure if it's because I got a cheap one/used it wrong/whatever. Watching this makes me wonder again, I'm growing out sideburns as well and they are driving me CRAZY not behaving. I also have dips on the sides of my lower beard some days (they make it a weird anchor shape sometimes) that might benefit. Edited to add: OK, I watched the video again and you convinced me to give it a try again. Pledged to get the discount. You're too good at your job, lol.

    Water is apparently positively charged, heated brushes or hair blow dryers that use ionization negatively charge air. This supposedly scatters water more evenly on the hair shaft reducing frizzing and ionized air attracts dust/dirt so it may have benefits there.

    My wife asked if she could try her flat iron on my beard. At first I said, "I don't know about this . . . don't burn my face!" It's a smaller than average flat iron called the pixie. Honestly my heated brush doesn't straighten my beard at all, but the flat iron worked great! Huge difference. Need to be extremely careful not to burn your hair or face, so for that reason I can't recommend it for everyone, but for a once in a while maintenance tool, not bad.

    • @therustyaxe
      @therustyaxe 4 роки тому +3

      No, please don't! Trim your beard in the way you style or wear it. If you straighten all the hair before it will expose all kinds of ugly truths and you will likely just trim away. You have to remember that all hairs grow at a different pace, they have their own agenda. It would be like having a dry frizzy beard and pulling hair down with tension and then trimming. What will happen when you let go? It will spring or coil back up underneath. Do this and you may lose the fullness of your beard. Last year I pulled down on one side with a comb and thought if I trim all the hairs evenly they would be even so I snipped. All the hairs bounced back up leaving me with a wispy beard on that side. HUGE mistake. This principle applies to straightening as well. If anything wait to see a barber to fix you up. All it takes is one bad mistake. Trust me on this.
