I REFUSED IT BECAUSE IT IS NOT THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT'S JOB TO SPONSOR PROGRAMS LIKE THIS. THEIR RECKLESS SPENDING CAUSED THIS INFLATION AND SPENDING MORE WILL CONTINUE THIS INFLATION. Yea, they get paid more than most doctors do and they (especially president and senators) get enough perks that $30k is more than enough.

I love Dave Ramsey and I have recommended and purchased his books for over 20 years. I became 100% disabled before I earned a substantial income. Can anyone, Dave included, tell those of us who are receiving $775 - $900 a month on full disability what we are supposed to do? Most of us are already forced to live with family and can't afford our medications. At this rate of inflation we are going to see way more homelessness.
Yep we both went on disability 8 yrs ago… Went from $120,000 to $40,000/yr… Been really rough.. Our politicians have no earthly clue..

@@dknowles60 With more people working from home the rural property values are going up as well. Even though I live in nowhere Alabama my prices on food and fuel aren't cheaper by the same percentage of loss of income. Inflation is outpacing disability income and most social security income by leaps and bounds.
The solution is 1) stop voting for Democrats and 2) be as radical and activist in pushing Republican policies and ideology, as the left is at pushing theirs. We need to freaking win this culture war
We are using food pantries and growing a garden, praying the garden does well so we can can some stuff for winter. We bought a pellet stove several years ago it is our primary heat source. pellets go up every year. this summer is about preparing for winter. We do not get to do things we had hoped to do, but it's OK at this point we are getting used to it.

I agree with that advice Mr Ramsey. I stopped eating out and the only place I go is the local grocery store when I need to. I have more money this month than I did last month
I own/run a welding shop Business and due to inflation steel has gone throu the roof killing business and my oil field customers have gone to survival mode because nobody's working right now. It's a tough time to be a small business in the USA right now.
He is wrong about it not bothering people that make a around 100k a year, we still just barely stretch that over the last year.

most trades. You can go directly to work and the company sponsor's the school. Apprentices make 60/70k a year. CDL school is the same trucking company will pay the cost. The honest truth is most want a nice comfy office job.

The US produces 10 million barrels of oil a day
Therefore you must import 10 million barrels of oil a day
Proven US crude oil reserves - 35 billion barrels
At current rate including imports your reserves are gone in 10 years
If you stop importing and go oil independent your reserves are gone in less than 5 years.

I guess our government does not want servers, cashiers, construction workers or janitors. We are super lucky to get $30k a year for one job. I have 2 fulltime, and it is not even $60k. Union job, too. Dying slowly, what are they waiting for?

My company just gave 30% pay cuts across the board.
I make 80k a year. This is ridiculous. I spend most my money on just trying to stay alive. Trying to find a way out.
