Use to say wagon wheel at the beginning of the season then half way threw it was AGON EEL or other words as it used to lose some lights before the end of the season lol

I love this pier and soulth pier too! The Matterhorn is the best ride outside the pleasure beach in blackpool! The big wheel is iconic and I can’t wait to see what the new one looks like!

Hi Sean me and the family love blackpool when we come we go on the centre pier it is amazing but our favourite place in blackpool is coral Island rides and arcades and nice pirates dinner amazing place love the content

You really can't beat a pier and the seaside. Even more so when the weather is lovely. I love the arcades. It brings back memories of my Dad. I think that the new wheel will be a great investment. Especially making it work for wheelchair access and also adequate for the winter months.

Can't remember the last time I went Blackpool. One of my favourites! Heading to Alton Towers tomorrow for one last summer blast before my boys are back in school, don't want them go back! Xxx

blackpool is such a nice place, there is so much to. do there and it is just beautiful. my fav things to do are blackpool pleasure beach, blackpool tower, all the piers, coral island. blackpool is one of my favourite places on earth!

I always love the pier vlogs which is really interesting to discover what they have to offer attraction wise inside/outside and under these with the structures of the piers themselves on the beach level through the groines, aww 😊 Shawn whenever you mention the wheel rides I can’t help it as Michael McIntyre’s game show called the wheel where he says SPIIIN ThE WHEEEEL! instantly spring to mind lol 😆. The Phantom Chase Blackpool Pleasure Beach in the mid 80s a Matterhorn ride situated in between Grand National and the wild mouse.
My favorite ride and i think it was only clased as a C or B ride definitely not A(back in the days you bought tickets A,B,C rides and it was free admition before they spoilt the park with admission charges !).
It was that fast the cars flipped completely upside down.
I read it was sold on to another theme park and the ride was slowed down!
I can't wait to go back to blackpool at the end of this month 😆

I was on the big wheel last week at Blackpool all they have change is the speakers to some waterproof ones on the bar in white.

Thinking of High Roller in Vegas and the wheel at American Dream made me think that the new wheel will really complement the Illuminations
I remember going on that ferris wheel when i was young in a crazy storm. Thunder and lightning and it got stuck at the top😂 was sat in the storm for about 25mimutes.

I live 55 mins from blackpool i love it as I’ve been going for 40 odd years but if we are staying in uk for a trip i always prefer ingoldmells even though it’s 3 times further 😁

Was it central pier was got damaged by fire a few years ago? Pier looks really good, wonder if the old wheel will be relocated anywhere else when the new one comes into place

We was hear on Bank holiday Monday brilliant was very busy but very good went to the pleasure beech on the Tuesday icon was flying on the Tuesday unbelievable

I went on those walters by myself. It was really slow. But the walters near me that we’re for an event my head hurt from going so fast I would smack my head on the back. It was the best Walzsers I have ever done
I got whiplash from going on the Waltzers once when I was like, 14. Best goddamn waltzers ever.

Not seeing myself in Blackpool for this anytime soon since I went back in June but it's only 1 more month before Hull Fair opens again. They really need more fairs in Hull. East Park has them sometimes, but it's not the same.

Little fact for you Shaun, there was a Matahorn type ride at Drayton many years ago. It was there for one season (1988) and was located where the entrance to Pirate Adventure was. It was called Quazer.

I'm old enough to remember when the Big Wheel only had the waist height bar before health and safety! No-one ever fell off it, but look again at the extra bolted on higher tubular barrier on each car added around 2000 I believe.
