    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    The villages surrounding the middle-age town of Gnijlana provide a unique blend of dances and rhythms influenced by the blending of cultures in the region. Men and women dance separately showing off their strength and finesse - then unite as one unit as the dance builds to a powerful ending.

      @@eduard591the difference is that Slavic people still exist, Illyrian civilisation got hellenised (brutally murdered), romanised (pushed to the Arab border) and then slavicized (brutally enslaved and murdered).
      Illyrians don’t exist to this day and Albanians are not descendants as Italians are not descendants of Etruscs.
      Or do you hear Italians calling themselves Etruscs?
      What about Greeks? Are they Greeks or Hellas?
      Meanwhile Slavic are one of the few initial civilisations (with Germans, Latins and Celts) that survived.
      Nowadays Albanians are a mix of Slavs, Germans and Latins with some Arabs. That’s about it.

    The serbs in the northern Kosova are anti Kosovan. Where as the ones that live in small villages/towns in the south east are more neutral.

    Performance is very good! But I have a couple of objections. The first, girls don't need to lift their legs so much, girls have always played calmer and lighter. And the second, the girls' dresses are too short, and when they lift their legs you can see everything below, so it doesn't look very decent. By the way, the way, style and technique of dance are GREAT! Greetings from Serbia! You are a very good and strong ensemble! 🔝👏🏻

      @DavoZM 3 роки тому +4

      You are too soft but you have pointed out some mistakes and you are right. The players are not to blame but those who teach them in such a bad way. The style is wrong, there is no hip swing in the folk dances from Serbia, that is completely inappropriate. Only in the dances from Vranje there is such a prominent swinging of the hips and only in some dances. A woman has never raised her legs so high as to play a step, she can do it all more subtly and lightly and precisely. Nowhere has a Serbian woman worn such short skirts (dresses). Why the head covering that is characteristic of the Bulgarian people in the dance from Kosovo ... There are a lot of wrong things here, which can be corrected.
