The walls are not even cemented bt PoP's how did that even pass the internal/corporation of the locality tests. Ever wondered that. This is clearly the brand value being sold and not homes. Cannot call this home. Just because you say its economy house doesn't mean you can compromise, also if you are buying new vehicle , the vehicle should be in mint condition so that person can use it. You cannot sell vehicle with burst tyres, corrosion and say well it is up and running. Highly disappointed.
Even the UN had a bad experience with TATA vehicles. They used to buy TOYOTA which were quite reliable. But, they decided to buy TATA to save some money but they regretted it as quality of TATA was quite poor as compared to quality of TOYOTA vehicles.
Tata should demolish these building and construct new building if they believe in group philosophy and values. Didn't expect from Tata the most trusted brand.

Being a civil engineer I can say that it's not possible to build 5-8 lakh home without subsidies and loss on the developer's end. Nevertheless, TATA should have hired good builders. There are quality issues that can't be denied.
Even my grandfather and father owns a construction firm we would never accept this kinda quality from our workers my grandfather built some buildings 45-50 years back still standing strong in cuffe parade
Sir, as an Architect I would always recommend you to build your house through good contractor and select your materials on your own, this joint venture which we see nowadays are very poor even if we blame Tata it’s the subcontractors who choose very poor materials for their profit and commission. Tata should better address this issue and should pay you for your loss and damage!!
I m also having a flat in Tata housing. But it is in good condition . I think this building is besides marshy land near the entrance to Tata housing. So the land is wet n water seepage is there upto the building foundation , so termites n seelan in house. As far as I know Tata has not fooled anyone. They have built a very good complex with facilities. May be the contractor didn't examine the nearby land properly before building it.
Number One lesson: Never Trust Corporates, especially when they offer cheap products. they will cut corners to save money.. Corporates are there to sell u crap for a profit.. you have no benefits except the shareholders
While buying a house, avoid looking for big brands that cost you more than twice the actual cost in your locality. Look for construction firms that people can put their faith in. Good work exposing how poor people who put their entire life's savings are being scammed. Respect for you Mr Rao.

They have used gypsum plastering instead of concrete plastering. Gypsum is not a strong material. However it could create great finishing for wall. This is why builders are preferring them

Those look like cracks due to differential settlement of footers ( columns ) in the soil. Usually construction companies won't do proper soil compaction as a result these issues would come out. Its actually a dangerous condition😢

Yes, I too invested in la montana talegaon and was appalled by the quality of construction. During the possession I pointed out all these defects. However, nothing was done. Since I am an NRI and due to lack of time I did not pursue this issue. I will NEVER invest in a TATA project.
Tata is right, maintenance is important, our house is maintained every year, only reason it's surviving after 60+ years in wooden beams. Termite killers need to be sprayed constantly for good building life.
