This band deserves everything. It's been an over a decade climb to the top, but they've officially "made it". Ghost is going down in rock history. Tobias Forge is a creative genius.
What makes this version better than the album version? The flaws. His off key notes every once in a while, the realness in his voice, the fact it's imperfect is what makes this metal and what makes it amazing!

How do they sound just as good in live performances as in the studio? It's so rare to find bands that can do that these days. Ghost is so damn talented. I only discovered them a few weeks ago and I'm already hooked. Hope I can see them live someday.
I've been to four concerts of them and every time they sounded amazing. And live they sound even more metal, where some songs are a bit mellow on the album, they really come alive on stage. If you get the opportunity to see them live: do it!
I can only offer that, being Swedish, Tobias likely sinks a lot of money into stage production. What does being Swedish have to do with anything? Simple: Sweden has the highest marginal tax rate at the top bracket: 95%. So rather than focus on profits, most of which his government would take, he sinks all of his money into the quality of his product. In some ways, Tobias Forge is a modern-day Tom Scholz, who cares more about perfecting the sound than making money.

The best and most original rock band since the early 90s. You can hear all the influences of the classic metal, Rock, Prog Rock and Pop of the past filtered into the vision that is ghost. Outstanding ✌️

Fuck that sawtooth keyboard part you start to hear around 1:17, I never noticed that on the 1000 times I’ve listened to the album version or seeing them live. New respect and admiration for a song I didn’t think I could like any more than I already did.
I saw Tobias didn’t win either Grammy. That’s Sad but we still have the best fucking band ever!!! Ghost to me easily has the best fan basis. I went to one of there concerts and the people were amazing to be around. I’m so proud to say I love ghost and get to be part of this community. Forge to me deserved the Grammy but I might be biased lol. Thanks so much for all the love!!!!!

The talent of this band is truly unreal so thankful i became a fan of them over a year ago they are so incredible in their musicianship theatricality its blue oyster cult early black sabbath scorpions all wrapped into one Tobias is an incredible showman and singer

Listen, I love this song SO MUCH as is - like it's my go-to song on Spotify and has been for a long time. But this? This is transcendent. It is so powerful.
It doesnt, he writes the guitar riffs and most lyrics and also plays guitar on the records but he always has a full band that writes as well as composers and classical musicians hired to do some stuff off the prequel album.
Sounds incredible! As do all 4 songs from this session, but their sound is amazing on this track. Can't wait to see them with Metallica in June. Will be 3rd time seeing Ghost \m/
Well part of it it's because it is properly mixed and not a shitty live phone recording and I also think he's singing without the mask, which gives him more freedom.
Matteo Vitali you’re right, this is a non video recorded session where the band performed without their makeup and costumes. Tobias doesn’t have to sing though a prosthetic face

In studio version it's even more "obvious" ( and that's so good) because his voice sounds like Klaus Meine, but I love this version here too. Musically, I like to think Dance Macabre is the hidden son of "Rock you like a hurricane" and "big city nights"

I wouldn’t say this band is necessary metal but rather “rock”, symphonic to sone degree, alternative.
When the Ghoulette joins In around the 3 minute mark, oh I love her voice. And the passion that can be head in Tobias's is absolutely phenomenal.
