When I lived in Dallas, I'd frequent Gilley's, the cowboy venue. They'd have live C&W acts, but during intermissions the DJ's might open up with some pop. A couple of times the contrast of the musical choices pleasantly blew my mind: "It's A Sin" and "Dancing Queen". Regarding this cover, performed live I give kudos for nailing the original. But in the studio, I expect something to make the effort stand out from the original, that might inspire me to share. A missed opportunity in that regard, IMHO.
This band is called Devilish Animals Shop Leaders with their hellish great hit "Every Place I Have Been" but people call the ghost and think the song is called "it's a sin" and I still don't know the reason why!
