These things and their era counterparts used to fly over my village daily when I was a kid in the 70's.
We didn't appreciate then that we were having a vintage aircraft flypast everyday.
    Those memories are gold now.
    Cool vid. Cheers.

I was born at Nocton hall, my parents lived on RAF Scampton. I was born with vulcans. My uncle bob who served with my dad recounted a story to me when he was giving a vulcan full throttle on a test at nighttime with dad, the whole house was shaking according to my Auntiecath and mum , my twin brother and I slept through it. 😂

How none of these aren’t flying at displays anymore is beyond me it’s iconic even a legend . The howl and its thundering sound that vibrates your body ! The RAF are missing out on a remarkable recruitment aircraft

The thing is the RAF are so woke and out of touch they couldn't care less.this RAF is not the same as the one from 20+years back

Yes, it's rather sad. When Vulcan XH558 was grounded permenantly as the airframe ran out of air hours, there was a big whole left in your flying displays. There is another Vulcan in taxiing condition now, so, who knows, maybe one day in the future that Vulcan might be restored to fly once again. I never got to see it fly when I visited the UK about 38 years ago, but, I do remember the three Vulcans doing a good will tour to Australia and to Perth where I live in the mid '80's I think it was as I was at school and remember seeing them flying over.

@@scrubsrc4084 such a pity to loose the icons of aviation I’m guessing due to mod cuts that even the RAF had to stop training on maintaining them even for practice

I wish they were still flying XH558 however the design authority’s decision was to discontinue their support and consequently the CAA would not have given it a license to fly .
I did have happy days as a child , we lived at Finningly just off the runway in RAF married quarters and loved the sight and sound of them and when I think back to then it annoyed me trying to get to sleep and the noise rattling the metal windows in the house as they done circuits all night .
How I wish I could travel back in time 😀

A tactical heavy nuclear bomber, launching as quick as a fighter jet. British engineering at its finest.
Fun fact : The Vulcan and Victor fleet could have evaided Soviet air defences, including out manouvering small Mig interceptor jets. The Soviets were wide open to a nuclear strike by the RAF.

When we had a proper airforce, air exercise were conducted with America, the idea being to test US air defence against aerial attack. In both exercises New York was hit by RAF vulcans.

I live in Lincolnshire but I've never been a Vulcan fan. Sorry.
A metal triangle and a potential death-trap for the rear crew members.
However...An all British aircraft and a very important weapon during the Cold War. 👍
