I absolutely loved playing this game when I was a kid and I still do to this day as a grown adult! Everything about this game is amazing to me; the intricate story, complex and well-written characters, the awesome soundtrack, the subtle symbolism and much more!!
To all: Did you know that the game could have been you being a phantom spy instead of a detective (wonder how that works...) And also, Shu Takumi was inspired by Gurren Lagann- yes, the awesome robot anime- in the designs of the characters (Lynne looks like Yoko, doesn't she?)
Wait, if Sissel could possess water droplets in the earlier chapters, then why didn't he just swim through the sea? Sorry if I sound dense, but that logic bugs me.
Soapuku Well, The Droplets Were More Of A Singular Object, The Ocean Is One Large Body Of Objects Put Together. Also, He Couldn't Swim Unless There Were Objects To Swim Through.
@@divinity1984 or you can look at it this way: let’s say the ocean is a one ENORMOUS object, so it must have a core somewhere, but finding it is like searching a needle in a haystack. And even if you find the core, how Sissle is going to manipulate it? Can he even do that, what is the trick.
One minor plot discrepancy I just realized- Sissel is always supposed to start where his gateway into the past was, which is the location of the corpse. Technically even if they go back in time, his starting point would still be at the bottom of the ocean.
Eh, true I guess? Then again, the logic behind being able to use Yomiel's corpse as a gateway never said that the corpse itself was the gateway, so it could be assumed that the gateway is actually how the corpse ended up a couple seconds after death, which would be in the park.
I think it depends based on the circumstances on the scene, like with the driver from the park, we didn’t start off with his corpse at the Chicken Kitchen, we started off with his corpse in the van.
Slight problem. Why weren't Cabanela and the junkyard super given the powers of the dead, too? They died while right next to him (probably less than a meter or two away, considering he murdered them both at point-blank range), yet being exposed to his Temsik fragment while dying appears to have done jack diddly for them.
日向創 I'd have to go back to make absolutely sure, but I'm fairly sure they died outside the radius of the Temsik radiation aura you see in "dead-land" view. (Whereas our favorite poltergeist gumshoe was literally right next to him. when he died.)
The radiation of the fragment inside Yomiel is much smaller than the one in the park (where the whole meteor was). That is why Missile got his power even though that one was far away. Cabanela and Pigeon Guy was quite distant from Yomiel, so they can’t get the power. You need to stand very close to Yomiel for the power awakens.
@MrDuskye Spoiling - Not really needed, is it? I know the end, and I prefer seeing peoples genuine responses rather than seeing them annoyed by being spoonfed the end result...there's no fun in spoilers or hints.

@@NegaLimbo Too bad; I actually agreed with it. For all the narrative elements this game gets right, yes, you nailed it being a giant retcon plot. I also had a period of frustration with the plot, from the other end. Ray and his framing device of Sissel "ceasing to exist" at sunrise was obviously false. If it were true, how could Ray exist? _He_ couldn't have died earlier in the night, and if he had, there's no way he could've spoken authoritatively about "powers of the dead" or any such ideas without bluffing like crazy. It's excused later because of the protagonist, of course. But it's a contrivance nonetheless, and just like the loss of consequences to the night from the final chapter, it's a valid observation.
'Sissel': Armed agents? Don't tell me that weird guy is one of them.
Yomiel: Nope, he's just a weirdo.
Mood whiplash, yep.
I love how he still has glasses on, both Yomiel and Sissel

That's what shi said.
