What year zx9r stator and flywheel etc did you use pal

I'm pretty sure the stator and stator cover doesn't matter, they are all the same. I think any year flywheel will work also, but the 00-03 years are better. The reason is because the 98 - 99 flywheels are heavier because they don't have the weight reducing holes drilled into the steel back portion. If you search for a 99 flywheel on eBay, then search for a 00, you will see what I mean. The difference is visible. So try to get an 00-03 flywheel if possible.

@@leopeacock2986 Hard to say, I don't have dyno numbers to give you. The engine seems to rev a little quicker from what I can tell.

Bro thank you for the vid. The more vids about Z1000 the better. I am about to do your airbox mod and also do the flywheel although as far as I understand you can also trim the original flywheel without the need to replace it, meaning you do not need a whole ZX9R flywheel swap.

Couldn't you have just de-pinned the connector plug from the Z1K stator and repinned it to the ZX9R ?. I wonder if it's worth just getting the factory flywheel cut down and balanced at a machine shop. It probably doesn't amount to much of a power gain, but I'm sure it's more responsive with less rotational mass. This was interesting and insightful, thanks, maybe I'll do this to my 03

That's a good question, I don't remember why I didn't use the Z1000 connector. It's been a couple years, but I think I just plugged the wires in for a quick test to make sure it would work and then got lazy, lol. So my temp fix became my permanent fix. I still have it somewhere, maybe I'll put it on someday :)

@@lonelyryder7441 Keep doing these mods and making video content on them. It's motivating me to do these mods on my 05 Z and I've been enjoying the bike all over again. Would love to see the zx9r cam swap eventually.
