@@LeiaZhu Gosh, I never knew you were a twosetter! Can I just tell you that your playing was just - beautiful. Last Rose of Summer at just 12 - god, that is insane. I'm one year younger than you and my self-esteem is in negative now. Hats off to you
She plays this piece so much better than many adult violin stars. She plays cleanly and clearly, taking time to let each note and each phrase breathe to its best with ease and freedom. If Ricci could have lived long enough to see Leia play this piece, he would die with sweet smile!!
I appreciate your compliments but it’s a hard truth that virtuosos are much better in each of the areas that you mentioned, however as she become a virtuoso from a child prodigy in the next decade, I’m pretty sure she can catch up with the ones you mentioned
Often times, when hearing a young person play a piece like this, it’s a technically perfect version with the musicality emulating their teachers and those they have listened to. This is completely unique interpretation and a mature one at that!
Magical performance! I love your interpretation. This is so technically complex and yet you make it seem simple and communicate so beautifully with your audience. That is the mark of a true artist 🌹
As an eleven year old violin player myself, I know how difficult the instrument is and seeing someone only a year older nail one of the hardest pieces made me speechless...😮
wwwoooowwwwwww myyyy gosh days ago I was just wondering when Leia will be performing this last rose of summer when I was listening to recordings.. what a coincidence! luv u!!
This is just fantastic! What a stunning artist you are! This work for the violin is insanity! You had soo much control , sensitivity ,and command! Your ability defies your age! Much love from a longtime US fan!
Not only is this piece one of the hardest in the entire classical music repertoire which requires an insane amount of technical ability just to be able to play it, but you have made it sound so musical and expressive as well. And to be able to have mastered all that at the age of 12!! I am so envious and in awe!
Yknow, as I start to learn to learn last rose of summer (it’ll take 10 years), I was starting to get a bit… too mind blown at the recording of Midori I listen to, so I decided to venture out of the 3 classics (vengerov, Midori, Hilary). And now I’m just more depressed as me at 19 can barely get the LH pizz and harmonic movement down.
goodness you are so talented, love u so much and ur performances are all at such a high level and superb to listen to, how can you be so good at violin at such a young age?? ;-;
WOW! This is such an amazing performance! 🤯 Also thanks to TwoSet for opening me another great future artist! 🙏🏻 And Leia: Keep on practicing and making great Music 👍
How is it these 11 and 12 year old can play with such command , prsence and knowing technique the most difficult bow& finger stuff in the repertoire ? They are so mature too musically they can dash off the most depth in a Brahms or Beethoven concerto . What species of beast is inhabiting this planet in the last 30 years ? I'd like to know who are the 2 or 3 most powerful teachers in South Korea, China and Japan who get the best talent then judge them at the world's best competitions .
I wish I was talented as you, I wish I could I play Ernst Last Rose Of Summer but I am still trying to perfect Bach's Minuet 1 in Suzuki book 1 and waiting when I would get into Trinity College of Music in India. But overall I ist love your playing
girl you are so stunning! you go girl! i started violin after playing piano for 7 years too, my dream is to become as good as you,,, 👁👁 may i ask how long u practice? 💗
hey, I am 13 too!!! Welcome to the 13 club! It depends on each day. For today, I've done 20 mins of scales. Yesterday was 10 mins, the day before was 30 mins. The point is don't be too hard on yourself, your practice needs consistancy which means try to do it on daily basis, but most importantly it has to be enjoyable too otherwise the passion won't last. Best of luck!!!
@@LeiaZhu Hi Leia, thank you very very useful suggest. Every time I start practicing the violin, I practice the scale first, it makes me feel very boring, because I will practice one hour to 2 hours of scale, and just a little results, basically no results.
Was wondering, how long do u practice everyday? And how long do you recommend? I've been trying to figure out long to practice sense I've been getting into harder pieces. And you're such an inspiration. I love your playing and you are so talented. Bravo!
Imagine going through recordings of people playing classical songs and running into this one: [Middle school]…Bach…Bach…Bach…Vivaldi…Bach…Ernst…Bach…wait. ERNST?! Where did that come from?! And why is it so good?
Absolutely stunning, You played all those difficult techniques so smoothly, can't believe your just 12. Two set should react to this!
