+Nathan Deadman believe me, we have lots of talents like these. It's just that it's not that popular today. Media doesn't want it cause they want the new stuff. Sad, if you ask me.
yes Nat and louis were great but the rat pack had a edge the others didn't..it was the comedy act they had..was amazing. and also..they loved one another..you can see that.
I will never understand why Frank got so much credit. I love Dean and Sammy a helluvalot more. Sammy did great impressions indeed. sometimes about people i didnt know, had to look them up. And what a dancer!!!! Dean was always so laid back and funny without trying... Frank i found always just sitting on his own made pedestal =/
Jeep guy 1980 OIIIIIIIO Don't forget style, charisma and real, true talent that could knock the socks off so many of today's so-called 'stars ' who are only as good as their computerised backing-tracks and couldn't perform like this in front of a real live orchestra if their lives depended on it.
Dean and Frank are good, but these guys are a GREAT combination. I wish there was more! The fun they are having and obvious friendship they have is wonderful to watch!
These two LOVED what they were doing! Obvious! Remember when Mike Douglas would have them on his show. Great entertainment. Good old days and great entertainers.
It doesn't get any better than this ! Every time I watch this I tear up, not only because I love Dino so much, which I consider to be one of the greatest singers and entertainers of the 20th century, but because I can truly feel the exceptional love, admiration and respect Sam (what a fabulous voice !) and Dean had for each other.
Watching these guys singing that easy and performing without any gadgets or auto tune b.s. makes me realize that we miss these talented people dearly, I wish I could go back in time and relive those days again, still miss them.
I adore both Sammy and Dino who both bring me absolute joy when listening and watching them entertain. I only wish that I could have met them..... Love you guys!!!!!!!
I see Sammy traded in his tux for a more psychedelic look. And look at his little chicken legs! But out of everybody in the RP, he clearly had the most talent. The man could sing, dance, act, play any musical instrument he got his hands on (taught himself, by the way), and was a great impressionist. May Sammy and Dean rest peacefully.
Dean Martin was not a jealous person, he could share the stage with anyone and was completely happy to give the routine over to his guest! Dean Martin was a very loving and confident entertainer! Dean's heart was made of GOLD!
Lady Miss For me, they were both great individually, but the two of them working together were ‘much more than the sum of their parts’. Not least because they had been close friends for years and were clearly really comfortable performing together.
Sammy Davis was the master of entertainment,,absolutely superb, totally irreplaceable thank you for the wonderful music RIP our wonderful man, never forgotten ever
You never see film of Sammy and rarely of Dean without a cigarette in their hands and sadly both died of smoking-related diseases. I saw Sammy in concert about 5 years before he died and still had a big voice.
the has heart hasheart point is they smoked it killed them when they got older. So it happened you can die from a lot of things. Being fat and eating a lot of fast food will do it too. People didn’t think about what smoking did to you they just did it and enjoyed it.
4:52 will always get me the most...just showed their true friendship after 2 decades SAMMY: Take your spot ... **Dean screams the 2nd verse line, dropped his cig @ **4:44**, before he falls to the ground** SAMMY: ...DEAN! x'D
I agree it took Dean & Sammy a few minutes to really get into this segment but once they did it was just like being on stage during their Rat Pack performances. Brilliant !
Sammy was a little guy with a big Voice and Dean was smooth and mellow. Both men were great in there time. Dean was a Ohio boy Stubenville I'm from Cincinnati. I watched his show every Thursday night. He was great. I like Dean with the Mills Brothers Up the lazy river. Lena and Dean The Two of Use. Can't they both are gone. Oh Yeah. Love to hear Dean Welcome To My World. Bob and Sid and Dean singing. As a group they were funny. Bob was funny trying to sing Opera. They all funny trying Country and Western they did a good job. Its been a Blue Blue Day was good too.
His reaction was because this was HIS song during the Rat pack Shows...this entire performance was an homage to those shows...the little hop, Sammy's brief impersonation of Dean (hard to catch), and several other small but recognizable (Dean's Fall) recreations of their original performances on stage at the Sands and beyond.
@Doug Whatley yes during the song " Penny from Heaven" was one of Dean's song, Sammy impersonate Dean for a few seconds. That is when Dean bent down to Sammy size. Such a great duet between these 2
At 4:55 Dean fell on the floor. I saw him fall in another video a few years ago. My question is: How does he do that without hurting himself? Especially in his mid 50s. If anyone knows how he can fall and not hurt himself, please let me know.
These two are the perfect duo! Maybe even more so than Dean and Frank. Sammy's wide range and powerful voice perfectly compliments Dean's calm soothing smooth voice. These two together were a force to be reckoned with..
I so agree with you thanks goodness we got UA-cam cause all the great acts we can relive. I was very young when this the old time shows was on. I don't watch t.v. but I do surf youTube for the older shows
Imagine Sammy Davis Jr. In a pair of today's skinny jeans? lol! Love those two and miss the hell out of both of them. America was the real America while these to preformed for the masses.
Dino Is so cool that even when he forget the lyrics he's still able to perform in a fantastic way....Then Sammy is one of the most talented people in Show Business history. Love them 💗💗 Rest in Peace Sammy and Rest in Peace Dino...i was born after your deaths but I am aware of your greatness and I will always share your music with people who don't know you. You and your art always make my day and When I start the new day listen to you guys OMG then some happiness starts laying on me just as Dean said in one song.....
Doesnt get any better than this. Deans sexy smooth voice like no other and Sammy had a powerful voice. God given talent that they took it to another level. WOW
I met Sammy Davis Jr at Phil Donaghue Talk Show we sat beside each other and had a chat I have a photo to prove it's TRUE Thanks Sammy for the invite fun day at Channel 9 Chicago early seventies.
3:30 is such a Martin and Lewis moment. Dean even does a pratfall later on love these little Jerry moments. Sammy and Jerry were lifelong friends. You can’t convince me Jerry and Dino NEVER spoke in 20 years. Maybe in front of the cameras...
Thanks for posting these 2 genius showmen. Singers par excellence, comedians or just 2 pals enjoying each others company and making each other laugh and the rest of us too. RIP both of these great entertainers.
Sammy and Dean were having fun singing some of their songs together. Loved them both. Miss them both. They don't do shows like that anymore.
I've seen alot of clips of Dean Martin singing so this clip doesn't surprise me at all how great sounds. But Damn, Sammy can belt out a song ❤❤
❤
Dean and Sammy you are the best.......... I'll love you forever.
They just open their mouths and the songs come out effortlessly, the ultimate entertainers.
Singing and smoking. What an era!
I love these guys.
nothing but pure talent and class.
This is pure talent. Wish this generation had even a fifth of the talent these guys, & Frank Sinatra had.
+Nathan Deadman believe me, we have lots of talents like these. It's just that it's not that popular today. Media doesn't want it cause they want the new stuff. Sad, if you ask me.
Sal valentinetti
& Mr Bobby Darin
Still watching in 2023 13 years later. Still amazing.
You can tell how comfortable these guys were singing together there voices are perfectly in sink. This is real entertainment!!
*Sync
in sync
They not only sang together, they also acted together.
Absolutely agree
Sync indeed .Perfection,,
Both Dean Martin & Sammy Davis Jr. were the greatest legendary standard recording artists of all time. May they R.I.P. and God bless them.
❤🎶❤🎶❤
Amen!!!
they knew how to entertain back then and had fun doing it.
Dean, Frank and Sammy were class acts and there will never be anyone to replace them or even come close to there talent
yes.. but don't forget Nat king Cole and Louis Armstrong.. who were really important for the music.
yes Nat and louis were great but the rat pack had a edge the others didn't..it was the comedy act they had..was amazing. and also..they loved one another..you can see that.
Mr Bobby Darin can hold his own in tbis room too but he was 10 years ypunger than them. A treat for us all who are left with music though.
superb the chemistry between Dean and Sammy if you want to cheer up watch this video it never fails
Sammy Davis' voice knocked it out of the park!!!!
Len Dodd
different style
Sammy was underrated as he focused too much on being the Jester in Frank’s Court. He sang, danced and was a superb musician and impressionist.
This is just beautiful these guy's are just the best
I don't think Sammy Davis Jr is underrated. He's not exactly forgotten about lol.
I mean he didn’t have much of a choice back in those times...
@Angel G€RM@N i just dont really like his singing voice. I prefer hearing Dino
What incredible voices.
One word.... class
The Kings of class!!!!! All that's missing is Ol' Blue Eyes. There's nothing else that can be said. The greatest entertainers EVER.
Sammy's voice wow! Effortlessly belting out crooner low and highs
Those voices. Like velvet... doesnt get any smoother.
This video makes me happy.
Sammy thanking Dean for having him at the beginning. Dean responding It's good to have you. So genuine. These guys loved each other and it shows.
Dean and Frank are good, but these guys are a GREAT combination. I wish there was more! The fun they are having and obvious friendship they have is wonderful to watch!
My great fortune was to see Dean, Sammy Frank in Seattle in the 1970's. Never will forget they gave their all to their fans. Love you all
Rip To Sammy Davis Jr & Dean Martin,We Still Miss You Guy's Always
Celebrity nowadays think they cool with no talent huh
.
This is real coolness
These two LOVED what they were doing!
Obvious! Remember when Mike Douglas would have them on his show. Great entertainment. Good old days and great entertainers.
They really did love each other. Just amazing team
Oh Dino, where are you? I miss you so much!
Class in it's purest form.
THEY WERE THE BEST!!!!!!!!!
It's so obvious how these two loved each other.

Best of the best
I adore both Sammy and Dino who both bring me absolute joy when listening and watching them entertain. I only wish that I could have met them..... Love you guys!!!!!!!
These guys, and I mean the three of them: Frank, Dean and Sammy were unique.

Dean's pants were tightly tailored, too. In one show, they split the stitches. He was dancing with Lloyd Bridges. That clip is on UA-cam.
Pure gold right here. Dean brought the very best out of his guests...even the great Sammy D Jr.
you idiot, sammy was a force on his own. 🙄
Lady Miss For me, they were both great individually, but the two of them working together were ‘much more than the sum of their parts’. Not least because they had been close friends for years and were clearly really comfortable performing together.
Lady Miss You moron, that was my point...I said even “the great” Sammy D Jr. Can you read?
Sammy Davis was the master of entertainment,,absolutely superb, totally irreplaceable thank you for the wonderful music RIP our wonderful man, never forgotten ever
No one could play off each other the way these two could... they loved each other. Oh, thank you for the perpetual grin...
At 4:20
Sammy : “god have mercy !!! this spaghetti dude could really sing”
Not envy, just a joy man, beautiful
My two favorites I hope are never forgotten. Love them both.
I smiled the whole time watching. I felt my heart was going to burst of happiness 😊💛
love it :) those were the days when real songs were written and true entertainment was made.
and back when men sang like men instead of wee whining suzzies
+smcg LOL! :D
+smcg ....true mate.....complete with cigarettes !
God Bless The Rat Pack .YOU WILL NEVER SEE TALENT LIKE THIS TODAY THANKS FOR SHARING THIS VIDEO !
never saw that one before , thanks so much ... 2 of the best ever , both with a heater fired up , still sing like butter
Just brilliant... I’m grinning like Cheshire Cat,,,, this vid makes me happy
You never see film of Sammy and rarely of Dean without a cigarette in their hands and sadly both died of smoking-related diseases. I saw Sammy in concert about 5 years before he died and still had a big voice.
cool
@@thehashearthasheart7146 well you can also be old and get hit by a car too..
@@petepoulos what's your point?
the has heart hasheart point is they smoked it killed them when they got older. So it happened you can die from a lot of things. Being fat and eating a lot of fast food will do it too. People didn’t think about what smoking did to you they just did it and enjoyed it.
wow all you can think smoking when you watch this , shame on you
Damn!!! These guys just crushed it!!!
Love to hear Dean and Sammy singing together melody of their songs. They both sound great.
Sammy and Dean were the best!! No one comes close to the talent of this era, and Frank Sinatra
PERRY WAS THE BEST.
@@Lewisjls Perry was very good. But it's all matter of opinion anyway.
Perry was a totally different performer....he was TOTAL CLASS!!!....NOT COOL
I could listen to Dean...24/7...!!!
songs were really great back there. they really knew how to entertain people.

SAMMY WAS A GOOD SINGER RIP SAMMY AND YOU TOO DINO ♥️ XXX
4:52 will always get me the most...just showed their true friendship after 2 decades
SAMMY: Take your spot ...

Where is this kind of talent now? Only in our memories! Thank you for those ❤️🥰😇
I agree it took Dean & Sammy a few minutes to really get into this segment but once they did it was just like being on stage during their Rat Pack performances. Brilliant !
These guys are so good … each had a 🚬 going .. relaxed … pure professional talent.
now that's called charisma!!!

One of my favorites duets from Dean and Sammy, thanks for share
Two of the smoothest dudes ever ❤
now that's called charisma!!! oh and of course Dean has it all! Sexiness , looks, funny, and just plain charm!!!
Like them both. Just brilliant. Legendary is the only word I can think for them.
These videos are a treasure for the ages.
Their voices were so brill they could of charmed the birdies down from the trees 😁
I got a parakeet name Deano and if I want him to sing all I have to do is put on his name sake, all at once I have birdie singing with him.
According to a Dean Martin biography Dean liked to get up on a stage and sing songs. I believe Sammy Davis Jr. liked to sing on a stage too.
Dean Martin never followed a script or rehearsed. He did it his way and it was great!
Such good energy. It's nice seeing a time before everyone is walking around with a chip on their shoulder.
Incredible listening to their music is too Live
man these guys loved one another..no matter what, what duo they were
Wow! Dean at 4:17 It is so good you can tell that even Sammy was pleasantly caught off guard. (Edit: Turns out it's because it was Sammy's song)
Sammy was surprised that Dean broke into one of Sammy signature song. It was so nice to see the looked on Sammy face.
