THANK YOU.... you are much nicer than my Husband at explaining this! LOL!!!! His idea of a SAW is a chain saw! Hence the lack of him teaching me how to use tools! AND I grew up with a Father who was a contractor his whole life and built amazing things! But I’m 64 and back then girls DID NOT TOUCH THE TOOLS... WE MADE COOKIES.......☹️ I am sooo excited about your new channel!
haha!!! I can absolutely relate to everything you said! I never ever want anyone to feel intimidation with using the tools because everyone is a beginner when they first start!
i'm borrowing a driill from a family member and this video definitely taught me more about their drill than they taught me lol Now I don't feel scared to use it. Thank You!!!
Thank you. I felt very basic trying to work the drill and get the bit in… I got to your video last as I went thru many with men and they didn’t illustrate snapping the bit in You took the time to explain the method…… THANK YOU! Thank you! Something so simple to most men is not to me….. I’ve never picked up any power tool in my life
Thank you so much for this. I love to build and create. I got tired of borrowing hubby tools ..along with his complaints🤣 I love doing DIY''s. Just got my drill. Im going to build my power tool collection. Subscribed.
Thanks Cornella, That was so helpful. I’ve been using drills all my life but my old drill was one of the old-fashioned ones without a clutch and the battery and all this stuff and the instruction manual is impossible. So you gave me the basics just when I need them thank you so much!
I agree! My late beloved husband owned 2 old, old corded drills and a few heavy duty looking bits. I just picked out a Ryobi (I think it's almost the same as the one used in the video!) and while Ryobi does have a "101" video here on YT, it was not quite as basic as I needed. THIS one with good graphics showing locations of controls, was much more informative for me. Looking forward now to hanging some shades and then exploring some other projects.
Thanks for this info. I’m a woman that has a tool bag etc ..this was very helpful. I just got me a power drill so this was awesome info! The RYOBI’s are nice as well!
This helps a lot... I have a planting auger that attaches to a drill but couldn't figure out how to get it inserted. I will try this and hopefully I can get it to work so i can plant my spring bulbs. 😊
Ive used a drill a few times most recently for the “Bobo Backdrop” DIY but when I needed to bring it down I couldnt make it work. Your video helped me so much thanks for sharing this!
I'm a female... I understood how to use the trigger and that's all (haha!). Thank you so much for explaining everything we need to know about a drill. I didn't know they have a setting from 1-20. l didn't take a good look at the machine. I will need to take some practices.
hey thanks for teaching me about my drill just got one from a second-hand store, and I didn't know what the clutch was for, I need to repair my computer desk or repurpose it lol, and need to put curtains up, I have had a Dremel but it is awkward to hold, my dad didn't teach me much of power tools, truth be told I didn't have much incline to them and now I want to learn but he is not alive to teach, right now I have a sander (not in use due to no proper mask) and a black and decker firestorm drill
Do you need to pre-drill a hole before drilling in a screw? I see a lot of videos with people drilling screws directly in, but I don't see them pre-drilling a hole first.
Very helpful but where do u plug the cord into..I do a lot of sculpture work with plaster and need to make holes but, where is the cord I gave goes from the drill?
Since I'm just putting something on the stroller, can I just use the 29.99 one? Just need to make 2 holes for the 3rd seat configuration. Don't need a really heavy duty one. Just a standard
I know this will probably seem so basic, but how do I know which size bit will match the screw I have so that the hole I drill is neither too large nor too small?
If you have the box for the screw it will say. If not I try to find a bit that is the same size as the shaft of the screw or a little smaller. I don’t know if this is the proper way but it’s always worked for me 😀
I got a WorkPro drill for women. I used the drill to drill a hole for a hook, but when I reversed, the bit stayed in the wood and drill came off the bit!! Help!!
I hope you found this video helpful! For more in-depth details on how to use a drill I have a blog post you can read here- weatheredwoodhome.com/blogs/news/an-easy-beginners-guide-on-how-to-use-a-drill

Thanks for your comment. What are you working on now?
I am 64 and just learning too. I watch Homestead Rescue and Misty makes it all look so easy...I am going to start a few simple garden projects.
I hate asking my husband how to use tools. Either I'm bad at listening or he's terrible at explaining....
I can so relate to your comment💗
THANK YOU!! I had no idea how to insert the drill bit
You're literally such a helpful person for a single mom trying to fix a door hinge on my pantry 😂 much respect!!! We got this 👍🏾
i'm borrowing a driill from a family member and this video definitely taught me more about their drill than they taught me lol Now I don't feel scared to use it. Thank You!!!

Thank you for Power Drill 101, keep the informative videos coming ❤
Thank you! I was wondering why my screw wouldn’t stay in the drill bit 🤣
Please make more of these teaching us tools from beginning 💖 how to hang stuff on walls, curtain rods, etc🙏🏻
I open and close the chuck by hand but if you use the trigger and hold it, make sure the speed switch on the top is in the 1 position 😉
I learned some things I didn't know about my drill, thanks!
yay!!! That's exactly what I was hoping to hear!!!
Thank you for your help. :)
Thanks for the video! I learned a few things, hopefully no more stress!😅

I've got Construction in mind at Eku for sure doe pretty alright review on drills hyper tough were it is at cheaper brand but can't beat it ya know.

Thank you for this video. It saved me an embarrassing trip to Home Depot.
Thank you so much for posting this! My husband goes too fast while trying to explain how to use it.

This was very helpful. I'll remember it. Thanks.

Well done and nice energy in the delivery. I found this video very helpful; thank you!
OMG thank you😂. I was so confused 💜
This was helpful as my manual didn't explain how it functioned which I felt was weird. Just mostly had how to charge it and info about safety.
Ive used a drill a few times most recently for the “Bobo Backdrop” DIY but when I needed to bring it down I couldnt make it work. Your video helped me so much thanks for sharing this!

Tip number one, when drilling a small hole larger, hold it with one hand and set the clutch to drill mode
2024 thank you very much from 🇯🇲
Thanks
Do you need to pre-drill a hole before drilling in a screw? I see a lot of videos with people drilling screws directly in, but I don't see them pre-drilling a hole first.
Can you make a video. On how to use a pencil, spoon, remote, tooth brush. I can figure them out
What does it mean when the drill pops out of the screw?
Is there a lock button on this drill so I don't have to keep pressing my finger down to keep it going?
Very helpful but where do u plug the cord into..I do a lot of sculpture work with plaster and need to make holes but, where is the cord I gave goes from the drill?
I can’t get the Chuck to close around the drill bit :(
Hi when something comes with a wall plug, do I have to use it or can I just drill the screw into it?
Since I'm just putting something on the stroller, can I just use the 29.99 one? Just need to make 2 holes for the 3rd seat configuration. Don't need a really heavy duty one. Just a standard
Didn't expect that high pitched voice. ;-)
You covered the part how to open it
YASSS QUEEN
I know this will probably seem so basic, but how do I know which size bit will match the screw I have so that the hole I drill is neither too large nor too small?
If you have the box for the screw it will say. If not I try to find a bit that is the same size as the shaft of the screw or a little smaller. I don’t know if this is the proper way but it’s always worked for me 😀
By shaft I mean the solid bit in the middle of the screw (not including the thread). You want the thread to bite into the wood.
I got a WorkPro drill for women. I used the drill to drill a hole for a hook, but when I reversed, the bit stayed in the wood and drill came off the bit!! Help!!
I wish you would have actually used it.
I broke my bed I hope this works
I hope you found this video helpful! For more in-depth details on how to use a drill I have a blog post you can read here-
weatheredwoodhome.com/blogs/news/an-easy-beginners-guide-on-how-to-use-a-drill
Can you make a video actually using it ? Please
How to rap drills and u gave me this😅
Bruh tell me how to turn on that drill I tried literally everything and every button
Wheres the 808 & Kick lol
I give up Manual labor is not for me I’d rather hire somebody to come do whatever I need to get done
I think the one I have is a driver, not a drill.
I can’t believe they break stoves and lawn mowers. And then beat me for expecting what everyone has the right to expect
After watching this I tried to hold on to my 1200W electric drill chuck to tighten it. Don't recommend.
